I…read moregrew up in Utah Vivian park is our park but too many people have just ruined the experience. We had a "Karen" who decided to yell at us for temporarily parking closer to the Pavillion to unload some heavy items. We had reserved the Pavillion. We were parked with hazards on for less the 10 minutes. but due to her yelling at us and getting mad because we were ignoring her. So my advice Stay away. Or find a time that's less busy to enjoy the Park. it Would be nice to have Pavillion Parking specifically for those who have reserved a Pavillion for a party. Some people just walked through the Pavillion which that's on them no manners. There was lots of litter. The bathrooms were nasty. Then a HUGE Yellowjacket problem. Swarming the food and around people. There was construction project and piles of dirt were not covered so a wind gust would kick up dirt and roll it through the area. the breeze was nice kept the temp low. but the dust was unpleasant. Vivian Park is a historic place. But due to so much over usage it's losing its charm. We won't be returning and I don't recommend it. Utah do better your Forest and the Charm of the Parks are lost. Not to mention with the amount of people floating down the River your World Famous Fishing.. not the best the River is just too contaminated. You can Do better.

This is a nice little park with viewing benches, a small sand/gravel path, and a pond. The pond has…read morefish inside it and is complete with ducks as well. There are quite a few trails and pathways that lead to the north side of Utah lake and I've seen people frequent them. I wouldn't recommend the pond for swimming , but it's great for some casual fishing and watching ducks swim around. There are lots of shaded bench areas as well and also areas I've seen people set up hammocks to relax. Quite easy to get to and free street parking. A nice little getaway from the hustle and bustle of Saratoga, Lehi and American Fork.

Around the 4th of July and Pioneer Day teenagers set off fireworks in the parking lot late at night, which is a bit of a drag for the people living nearby, but they generally clean up after themselves. I found some broken glass on the sidewalk near the bathrooms a few times, but other than that it had been a great little neighborhood park.

When I look for a park, there are a few things that are important to me: trees, places to sit,…read morebathrooms, playground, open field, bathrooms. Evergreen Park has it all! And even a volleyball court to boot! Did I mention bathrooms? This park has plenty of large, mature trees-the crunchy falls leaves all around them made it feel like I was walking through a movie set. Who doesn't love the smell of fall leaves? There is a good amount of open space for running around-and a modest hill that I'm sure hosts some young sledders in the winter. That's my kind of sledding! If you're hosting a party or a picnic, there is a nice pavilion available. A decent sized playground area will keep the kids entertained and the gender neutral bathrooms are much appreciated! Up for a game of volleyball? Sure, you can do that too! Of all the great features of this park, my favorite is the Free Little Library up at the top of the hill. Not technically a part of the park, but I'm gonna include it anyway. Take a book, leave a book. Sit under a beautiful tree and read. I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon.

There is lots of shade provided from the trees, and there's a cute little stream that runs along next to it! There is also an area to play "frisbee golf" within the park. However, the goals are just painted poles with numbers attached. This park is perfect for playing sports, hosting a family reunion, eating a picnic, or resting in the shade on a Sunday afternoon. It's also a fun area to walk around, as there are 2 bridges over the stream, and the Cedar HIlls Parkway Trail runs right through it. It's nothing to be utterly amazed by, but it's a nice park for what it's worth.

It's not very big park, maybe a couple hundred yards of space, but it has trees above giving some good shade (I'm sure much handier on sunny days). The main feature is the playground: three slides and climbing apparatus for the kids. We were there on a Friday afternoon and it was packed with kids; yours may find a friend. One unique feature is the Daughters of Utah Pioneers Museum and the Sons of Utah Pioneers Village ... cool for some local history!

Big mature trees that reach to the sky, and they survived the recent windstorm that ripped through trees in other parks, mostly to the north. Old location, here in the heart of old Sandy. Old Sandy is charming sandy, and not the strip-mall-and-suburb Sandy we all think of today. Old Sandy and its old Main Street. Old Sandy and the charming shops. It still has a long way to go until it's at full restoration, but Old Sandy is lovely. That fireplace/indoor massive charcoal grill thing is a remnant of a bygone era. I love it, it's unique, it's funky, and I'd love to do a big get together here with tons of charcoal and loads of grillables on those long grills. You remember get togethers, right? Pre-pandemic fun, oh boy. THE NEW I think the playground is pretty new. It looks impressive, and it's certainly not the old rickety things I grew up with. I don't know how the pavilion can be both old and new but it has the stone/brick fireplace but also newer picnic tables and what looks like a new paint job. It was nice, and had a little sparkle to it. I'm a fan of these smaller size parks. I like this one. I like the simplicity. I don't love the jail looking doors to the restroom that you can just look right into, but you can't have it all. And the fact that many small parks don't have restrooms at all makes these restrooms at this somewhat small park seem like a bonus, anyways. A charming mix of old and new.

It really makes for a great gathering place. There's a nice nice open space (around 100 square yards), a high-quality playground, benches, a handful of outer picnic table and (in another rarity) a very clean restroom. Another differentiator are the gigantic old-growth trees. You can tell the Sandy City Parks Department took great care in molding the park around the pre-existing tree life.
