Everything is wrong:…read more -Scenic Tree is NOT Green Oaks. Green Oaks has the gym and pool Scenic Tree does not & no, Scenic Tree residents can't use those amenities. -Paying for resident, visitor, & handicap parking even though there is so much space ($50/ car per year and $2.50 for passes per car per day). -Storage unit is literally a chain link fence that they charge $25/month for and stuff ALWAYS gets damaged/stolen. -Laundry rooms never get cleaned and I do mean never. You also have to go to the office with cash to use the machine to put money on your laundry card. There are times where the machine is down ( no notice) or the washer or dryer is broken (YOU have to download the outside company app when this happens to file a complaint. Scenic Tree/Mathin Reality Services LLC. Will just tell you to call them) yet the prices continue to increase. 1 load is $5.25 -Mold and water damaged hallway walls and storage "room" (they fixed the mold damage in storage unit area but it took at least 6 months of complaints before someone went down and stopped the water that was coming out of the ceiling from a broken pipe. So much was destroyed while waiting though. Bikes, ac units, camping equipment....) -expired fire extinguishers (they've fixed this but it took about 4 months) -unsalted sidewalks in winter while cracked & uneven ones in the summer (hope you don't have a physical disability because you WILL fall) -Exterior doors that don't lock for more then 2 months at a time -Office closes at random times so late fees/car tows happen often. They also never answer the phone. I'd wager to guess it's because there is only one woman in there -Air conditioner does not cool off bedrooms because it's too small/doesn't have enough power.

This is place is not a good place to live at all. Management is so bad. Nobody answers your calls…read moreor returns them & if they do it's literally days to weeks later. The girl , Rosio or whatever her name may be, she doesn't relay messages to the landlord & screens calls. The washer machines are DISGUSTING and overpriced. Also, things break pretty easily here, cheap material used. Parking policy is very unacceptable. I would not recommend living here or even seeking to live here at all. I truly wished someone had the chance to tell me before I did move here.

This complex gives the impression that it was once a wonderful place, but it was left to rot with…read morelittle to no maintenance. It's very run down, the parking lot, and the roads around it, are full of potholes. Even the leasing office was run down, and it looks like it may have once been an event or social space, but they just tossed some desks and tables in there and called it an office, and it sticks of stale sweat, likely from the gym downstairs. When it got to viewing the actual unit - The complex's own website (not an ad on a third-party site) advertised that they had several units available for move-in that day. The leasing agent said that was wrong, and while they had vacancies, and I could apply for those apartments, there wouldn't be anything actually available for six weeks - the only reason I drove down there was that they had apartments available now. The entryway to the unit was dirty and dingey - the mailboxes had layers, upon layers of peeling tape and mis-matched name labels; the hallway was dimly lit, and the tile looked like it had probably been due for replacement for quite a few years and had no luster left in it. In one of the advertisements that showed one of the laundry rooms, there were soot marks on the wall like some bored teen had taken a lighter to it (the fact that they didn't clean that for the advertising photos should hint to the level of care given here), and sure enough, those same soot marks were still on the wall when I viewed it in person. When it came to the actual unit, it was fairly nice. In the bathroom there was no medicine cabinet, shelves, or other storage aside from the under-sink cabinet, and the only outlet was a few feet behind you when standing at the mirror, which would make it awkward for using a hair dryer or charging a shaver without running an extension cord. Keeping in mind this is the "model" unit, the paint in the bathroom showed blistering and sagging, indicating the presence of water leaks inside the walls. They also don't mention in the ads that NO UTILITIES ARE INCLUDED. The agent mentioned something about the complex paying for half the gas and water, as there was no water heater in the unit, I don't think that the units are actually set up for individual metering, I think they just divvy up the complex's (or maybe building's) total bill amongst the residents with no regard to your individual usage. If you have other options, I'd suggest taking them.

Do NOT rent here. Do NOT even apply here…read more My application process took over a month and during that time I couldn't even look at a unit until the day I signed my lease. And only then was I informed the property was bought out by TI communities. I asked if the lease I was signing that day would be honored by the new owners, I was assured it would be. Boy was that wrong. Communication is non existent with this management. Took a month to get a leak in the bathroom sink fixed. The oven didnt work. There was no cover on the vent in the kitchen. No screen on the patio door. The thermostat didnt even have batteries. Granted its to be expected a 3rd floor unit would be hot, but even with the ac running day and night, with 2 empty units below you, it was still 85° in the unit. They had the boiler turned on so the heat was fighting the ac. Why turn the boiler on when the temps outside are still in the upper 80's? When the temps in winter went to 35° below freezing the heat stopped working. It was 52° in my unit. I called the emergency maintenance number, had a robo call that sais someone was heading to my unit to help. No one ever showed up. No one!!!! No call to check on the work order, nothing. No one in the front office picked up the phone or returned a call. I was told parking was free for residents. 2 months into the lease and we are told we had to pay a yearly parking fee. So you register your vehicle not only with the property but the towing company they hired to "monitor " the lots, they give you this ridiculous list of conditions your vehicle needs to be in, you pay the parking fee and they still tow your car multiple times. The building are supposed to be secured. Half the doors barely locked. This gave solicitors the opportunity to come and go as they wished at all hours of the day or night. Mail service was lacking as well. Several of the buildings have similar street names. And most buildings have the same apartment numbers. I never got any of MY mail, but always got mail for the 5 previous tennants of my unit. Your lucky if the mailbox door is even attached to the bank of boxes on the wall. Water pressure was horrid. Plumbing was always backed up. New appliances and cabinets were never new even though they just remodeled. Groups of 50 or more kids in the parking lot looking for fights. Taunting the police officers patrolling the lots with racist comments. Garbage was always piled around the dumpsters and collecting on stairways. Rivers running between every building when it rains. The outside concrete stairs are cracked and not safe. Snow removal on stairs and walkways hardly ever happened. Dirty hallways even after cleaning staff clean if they bothered to show up. There is also a rodent problem here. When you give more than a month's notice you intend to move before your lease is up, they give you one price for leaving early and send you an invoice with that price, they send you a second one with charges for damages and then send you collections 2 days later with no notice and no list of damages. All of this is illegal. This management company is pushing people out by last minute, unknown price gouging and new rules every other day but not enforced for all tenants. So, I repeat, do NOT even apply here.

There was…read morenothing above normal wear and torn (not even that), I have 4 eyewitnesses and pictures that could prove that this apartment was left in good condition, but they refuse to return my security deposit and had the nerve to create a balance due. The management of this company makes outlandish, fabricated issues to generate an invoice in order to keep your security deposit. First of all, they did not do a walkthrough nor where they present or available the day I moved out. I have not ever had a problem retrieving my security deposit once I move out of an apartment. Once I spoke to management, they had the audacity to insinuate it was not up to part and stated it should be in the condition it was given to me, I'm thinking such as ready to rent to the next tenant so they could move right in, totally absurd. Let's not get started on the mold, I would have never moved there if I knew what I know now.
