I've been coming to Rochester Deli for many years. In the past, it was usually for their Friday…read moreFish Fry. I especially enjoy the Baked Walleye. They also make excellent potato pancakes, and whenever I ask for them extra crispy, they're always happy to accommodate. Lately, though, I've been stopping in just for the bakery items, which are made next door at Periwinkle Bakery. This time, I was putting together a dessert tray for a dinner with friends, so I decided to pick up a variety of treats. They had so many tempting choices that day. We came in planning to buy four desserts and left with eight! We especially love the cannolis. They regularly change the flavors, which keeps us coming back. They're so good!

Today I drive from Milwaukee to have one and when I got to the counter I ordered the pastrami sandwich like I have many times before and I'm smacked in the face with the pastrami sandwich is permanently off the menu for good. I'm told that I could get a Ruben sandwich, WTF a Ruben and a pastrami are two different sandwiches and Ruben's are a dine a dozen. Unfortunately I have no reason to ever go back again because I drove 35 minutes to leave with absolutely nothing.

Lovely! ... and tasty and delish…read more Coffee is great. No burnt taste. Roasted on site. Hot or cold- lots of flavors to add...nice to go cups that don't feel like they're going to fall apart after sitting for a few minutes... Food was outstanding- we all loved what we had. I had the med breakfast sandwich- added roasted peppers and a slice of bacon. SO good. My gf added olives to hers- she said it made her sandwich. Also tried the European bkfst sandwich- and they loved that as well. The baguette was crunchy and enjoyable. Eggs were nicely cooked and a nice amount that you didn't feel like they skimped on the portion. So friendly- we had a large group and they put tables together for us and came to the table to take the order so we didn't have to stand in line to order. Cute shop to pick up some mugs, coffee or gifts. So sad it just took us so long to visit here.

Came again with a friend. It was a good experience…read more I ordered a 16 oz mocha with whole milk. What I got was definitely larger than that. It was a good drink, with a good balance of coffee and chocolate. It was hot enough, and the foam was decent. I've learned a bit about frothing milk to the right texture for a latte. My understanding--which I still need to fact-check--is that properly textured milk allows you to create decent latte art. The absence of latte art could mean the milk wasn't textured quite right, or simply that the barista chose not to add it. The foam on this particular mocha wasn't quite right for my taste. It was a bit thin, and there was no latte art.

I saw a picture of their breakfast burrito on social media and made plans to stop the next day. In addition to the breakfast burrito, which came with a side of hash browns, I ordered cheddar broccoli soup and was gifted a brownie for visiting. The breakfast burrito is build your own with a bunch of different options for meats, cheese, and veggies. I went with bacon, American cheese, and spinach and wasn't disappointed. The burrito was hefty and every one of the ingredients stood out. This is something I would definitely come back for. The three hash brown patties tasted as you'd expect and I appreciate that they weren't cold in the middle or bland. You can definitely notice the freshness in the soup. It was thick and used actual florets of broccoli, not just the stalks. Given the size of the burrito I had just eaten, though, I wish there was an option for a smaller portion of soup. The bowl was large and if you just plan on having that as a meal it's fine, but I would have preferred buying a cup as compared to a large bowl. Hopefully that's something they consider as a menu tweak. I'm not a big brownie person, but I enjoyed it. Like the burrito and the soup, it was a sizable portion, so worth the price if you're buying one. I'd be interested in trying their lemon bar or coffee cake on a future visit as those are more up my alley. I enjoyed talking to the woman who was prepping the dining area while I was there. She mentioned that Senor Luna's next door is their sister location and that Miss Daisy's has such early hours (currently 5am during the week) so as to cater to the nearby business park. I appreciate the early hours because I can easily make it there and back over to where I work in plenty of time.
