What a beautiful store and wholesale market, from what I understand Octopus Garden moves to Staten Island from Brooklyn, these guys are professionals...awesome layout and as nice a group of guys you would ever want to meet. The prices are well below what you would pay anywhere else. The frozen Scungilli I needed, $12 a pound....half the price of anywhere else. For those of you who are saying why don't you use Scungilli in the can? I am very particular when it comes to seafood and while La Monica Scungilli might be fine for Red sauce, only fresh frozen will do for Seafood salad aka frutta di mare.
