We are very pleased with the Norman Wood Plantation Shutters from Sunrise. The measuring & ordering was a very simple process and we were required to pay 1/2 the total price at this point. We placed our order for 12 sets of 3 1/2" smooth white pine shutters with the split invisible rails on 11-1-18. This was to cover our entire second floor windows to match the same Plantation Shutters that Sunrise had installed downstairs in 2017. We were promised delivery and installation before Christmas and I kept my fingers crossed! Sunrise Shutters delivered as promised and installed our shutters on 12-21-18, just in time for Christmas. The installation took approximately 2 hours and all packaging and scraps were promptly cleaned up for us. We paid the balance of the bill at this time. We love the clean look of the larger 3 1/2" shutters with the split invisible rails. This allows us to open the top half and the bottom half of the shutters independently of each other to create a variety of lighting options. We also love that when the shutters are closed with the louvers facing up, the bedrooms are super darkened and perfect for sleeping! All in all we are thrilled with our new shutters from Sunrise! We highly recommend this company for reasonably priced wood shutters. Thanks for the excellent service! read more

We called Sunrise Shutters for shades on our new home....Jamie was extremely helpful with suggestions when we were at a loss for what to do with one huge set of windows on our back door....even though it impacted his sale, he suggested that we wait until living in our new home to see how it feels without window coverings! And we are pleased to say his suggestion was the best for us. We did NOT feel ANY pressure, and he very patiently waited while we made our final choices......We ordered honeycomb top down bottom up shades for all of the remaining windows.....and there a total of 29 window coverings that came in a very timely manner, and installation was first rate....the guys wore their face masks and their shoes were either covered or removed at the door! Sure....there are other shutter and blind companies out there, but after meeting Jamie, we cancelled all the other appointments we had with other companies as my husband and I both felt very comfortable with Sunrise shutters! I don't think you will be disappointed! Sadly, because our shades are so great and very well constructed, and we expect that this will be our forever home, we won't have the pleasure of working with Jamie and his wife any time soon! But if circumstances change, he will be the only one we call for our blinds! read more

I met Jamie when I first purchased my home. Jamie was a one man show at that time. He was so kind, honest , warm & helpful! My project was not a lot of money, however, the work was done as if it would be a game changer to the business. Of course 16 years later when I was ready to replace my blinds , sunrise was the first place I thought of. This time when I called, I did not once talk to Jamie ( the owner ) this time I spoke with his staff. From start to finish. Everything was AMAZING. I spoke to a young lady who now does the scheduling, placing the order etc. She was kind & friendly. The young man came to my home to see what I wanted & share new designs with me. I placed a new order. Sunrise Shutters is a professional business that cares about what they do & the service they provide. Again, I not once spoke to Jamie & yes I wanted to. However, I was given the same service I was given 16 years ago with the staff at sunrise shutters which spoke loud to me! This is the business model that has become the culture at sunrise shutters. It does not matter who you speak to , the service has not changed. That is because this is the standard that has been set by the wonderful Owner. I appreciate you Sunrise Shutters & you will always have my business & be my first contact when I purchase shutters! read more

Nice guys and they were cheaper than what I used at my last house which was Budget Blinds. One issue I have... (my fault for not calling them back out there to our house yet). One of our wooden woven blinds is like off when it's raised up so it doesn't look completely straight when it's pulled up so that's kind of a pet peeve I've just dealt with. Luckily it's toward the back of the house in living room the one in dining room is fine. Not big on the faux wooden blinds as they are hard to get down once you put them up (put those up only upstairs on back of house. Love the pull down shades we got from them for front of house and master bedroom but they seem not same quality as Budget blinds as these already have a tear in them I guess from our toddler son pulling them on the side or up to look out the window when they are down. We'd do that to peak out sometimes at our old house and they never ripped with the Budget Blinds ones. Just a slight like half inch or inch maybe but still only been the house a little over a year. read more

We are very pleased with the quality and installation of our Sunrise Shutters and we are VERY glad that we did not go with an on-line discount blind company. I have gone the on-line route before and although it does cost a bit less and it was that memory that drove me to look for a referral from a company that would measure and install (my daughter had recommended Sunrise to me). Our windows are quite large and the installation work by Sunrise is excellent. Given the current supply chain issues I was expecting the blinds to take longer but it was only a few weeks. It can take a while to get through on the phone so I recommend emailing Sunrise for a faster response. As a small company I imagine they are out taking care of customers so they don't have a large office staff answering phones. read more

Outstanding customer service! Office personnel, installation technicians, and the owner himself could not have been more friendly, professional, and pleasant to deal with. In fact, Jamie, the owner went out of his way to establish a relationship with an out of state company to order, and then install a specialty trapezoid shaped shade that is fully operational via remote control. That is exceptional customer service for ONE customer, and is a beautiful example of how a business owner can ensure the success of his company. In total, Sunrise Shutters installed shades on 4 windows, 2 skylights, and 2 doors. The shades are wonderful enhancements to my rooms. Sunrise Shutters is definitely the company to contact to address any needs you might have for covering your windows and doors. read more

These guys installed the blinds in my home. Super friendly, attentive to detail, trustworthy and all around pleasant to work with. They also installed a shutter in my bathroom window to keep water from getting into the window from the shower. The shutter was broken and we all noticed before they installed it and they sent it back to the factory 2 separate times until the factory gave them a quality one with no imperfections and they installed it properly. They make sure the job is done correctly. Affordable, they call and let you know if they are running behind (instead of just making you wait without knowing what's going on) and just all around good service and employees. I would highly recommendthem to anyone I know who needs blinds or shutters and will continue to do so. read more

A pleasure to work with from initial contact and estimate to installation. I had Norman cell shades installed thru out my downstairs including patio door 2 years ago. Extremely pleased with the insulation effect it provides in summer and winter. We had a minor problem with the initial patio door attachment and were given an option to change to a slightly different installation method . 2 years later we chose to have the door shade re-installed at a minor cost to us. The shade was installed within a framework on the door and we could not be more pleased with this method. We would highly recommend using this method for future door installs. Thank you Sunrise Shutters for your truly professional, prompt, and quality service. Highly recommend!!! read more

We had new windows installed and we needed blinds. I had never heard of Sunrise Shutters but I read the reviews online and they were great. I am more than delighted with my new blinds/shutters. Everyone who come to the house compliments them. You raise and lower them with your hand and the hanging rod opens and closes them. They're not heavy like our old blinds and they don't sag. They have a valance that comes with them and it is not extra. They come in any size you want, even my little 20inch windows in the bathrooms. The price was very reasonable. After they came the first time I even added a few more windows that were dated. The men who came to the house to install and measure were very nice and respectful. Thank you, Sunrise Shutters! read more

Sunrise Shutters installed shades in both skylights in our upstairs sewing room, and blinds in all 6 windows & 2 pedestrian doors in our sun room. This helped cool both rooms in addition to privacy in the sun room. Our choice of Sunrise Shutters was based on a recommendation from good friends. 2 other window dressing companies quoted the sunroom job. Subsequent to our installations, our next door neighbors had shades installed in their sewing room. And, our church had Sunrise Shutters install blinds in several large windows in a recently renovated office building to reduce the sun's glare. All of us were satisfied with the service, installation, quality, and price. That's all that needs to be said. read more

I've used Sunrise Shutters several times in the past few years. I love their 4" wide plantation shutter/blind product line and options for the overall look depending where they are being installed. I have the cafe style in our morning room & full length on all the others. I like that this particular product comes in the "split invisible tilt" which enables me to choose whether the top or bottom is open or closed and there is no stick in the middle to maneuver the blinds. Sunrise Shutters have affordable, high-quality products and their installers are great to work with. I will continue to refer my friends & clients to Sunrise Shutters when they are building, buying or re-decorating their home! read more

Sunrise Shutters installed motorized shades on all 7 tall windows in our great room, including two very high up windows. Although one of the motorized window shades did have some type of manufacturing defect that caused it to occasionally catch, rather than try to adjust, the staff at Sunrise Shutters ordered the factory to custom make a replacement as soon as we brought this to their attention. Since its replacement we have not had any further problems and love how they programmed the shades to operate together. While it is possible to operate each shade independently from the remote control, we like pressing one button and they all go up and down together with perfect timing to each other. read more

Sunrise Shutters My husband and I recommend Sunrise shutters. We purchased our Sunrise shutters for our 1st home years ago and love them. We had them installed for the windows, patio doors, and front door side windows. When we moved into our 2nd home, we also had Sunrise shutters installed. The shutters offer our home functional benefits, such as light and privacy control, and they are energy efficient. The Sunrise shutters are low-maintenance and easy to clean. The shutters are of good quality and value. They enhance the quality of our home. The installation was done in one day. Customer service was readily available to answer any questions. These guys know what that are doing! From the time they walked in to measure and discuss options for plantation shutters until the installation, this team is knowledgeable and professional. Their price was the lowest of five we got estimates from, and included more for the price. We not only needed a door with shutters, but a levered handle cut out. We were told by other companies this was not possible, but Sunrise got it done, and it looks beautiful. They were always on time for appointments and the installation went smoothly. We love our shutters and they look wonderful! I would definitely recommend this company. read more

We had an extremely expensive quote from another company, and decided to try Sunrise. Their quote was surprisingly reasonable, so much so that we decided to do several more rooms. The house we'd just moved into was very dark, and the new blinds changed our entire experience of our home. Their blinds are excellent -- they're so adjustable they change the relationship of inside and outside as we go through the day. They're attractive as well -- they'd match almost any decor. The service was great, and when one blind had to be recut due to a problem they came out and did it on the spot. We'd recommend them to anyone. read more

Am very happy with my shutters. They look wonderful. My only complaint was the length of time we waited for them. Was told 6 weeks but it wound up being much longer due to some overseas issues. Jamie was very apologetic and did what he could to accommodate us. He sent a team out to put up temporary shades so at least our windows were covered. When they finally arrived we were first on the list for installation. As a side note I wound up ordering shutters for the upstairs windows and they arrived and were installed in a timely manner (6 weeks). Would definitely recommend and order from them again. read more

Great work and great Blinds/shades installed. I really appreciate Jamie for his perfection in giving quote and fixing as per schedules and Excellent job by team who has coordinated and installed them. Quality of Blinds/Shares are rich with a life time warranty. Jamie has come personally to verify and fixed the minor issues shown and also provided additional assistance. Few neighbors from my community have suggested to me on Sunrise Shutters and was also part of my exploration on Internet. I have started referring to my friends whoever is in need of Sunrise shutters. Thanks once again. Krishna Vakkalanka read more

We have worked with Sunrise Shutters on two different houses. Our first house needed a large oversized window covered in the foyer and shutters on the whole back of the house replaced. I love them because their prices are reasonable and the blinds are great quality. We also love their installation team and office team! When we recently moved and needed blinds for the new house we were renovating, I didn't hesitate to call them again to handle this larger job! Of course, we are highly satisfied customers and recommend them to all our friends! Thanks, Sunrise Shutters, for making our home beautiful! read more

My plantation shutters and blinds are beautiful and great quality. The price was quite reasonable. Everyone we dealt with was professional and courteous. They arrived on schedule and helped us decide the best choice for our house. It took about six weeks for the shutters to arrive, however, they told us that it would take that long from the get go so it was no surprise. Our window handles would not allow the shutters to close fully so Sunrise ordered inserts to extend the shutters a 1/4 inch or so to remedy the situation- at no extra cost to us. I highly recommend Sunrise Shutters. read more
