After going to the incorrect location on Manchester, which has suffered a fire, we found the correct location here. Don't blink or you'll miss it!! Soon as you pull into the strip mall, it's tucked into a corner next to the Veterinarian office. Upon entry, the place was really clean, but not alot of furniture or decor so don't be alarmed, you are in the right place. What was great was that we had just called 45 min earlier and they had no problem taking us. We signed up for the couple's massage and our room was ready upon arrival. Private room with 2 tables next to each other. We got settled in and the masseurs were ready about 15 min later. I tell you what, that massage was great! Place looks very similar but newer/cleaner/more professional (though there is nothing wrong with the Olivette location) Prices are about the same as at Olivette. Watch out for Living Social deals. This was my first massage ever and I used a $30 Groupon for a 60 minute Swedish massage. I arrived 15 minutes early in case I couldn't find it and to fill out the paperwork which was only a page front and back. As soon as I stepped inside I was greeted by a smiling face and was told to have a seat which was very welcoming. After doing the paperwork I was lead down a hall to my room which had a bed with the softest red blanket everrrr. I was left to undress and cover myself on the HEATED BED.... pure heaven. Before entering she knocked and asked if I was ready which I was happy about. First she did my backside and then I flipped and she did my arms, feet, and hips. Overall it was a great experience- especially for such a low price. The only thing I disliked was the music wasn't to my taste, however it matched their ambiance perfectly. Went here because my friend bought me a groupon. I was skeptical on arrival, but I remembered a lesson learned as a child, never judge a book by the cover. So I ventured in, albeit with reservations. The foot massage was really nice but the room was noisy and every time I got relaxed there was a noise to unsettle my nerves. My masseuse was Linda, who did a great body massage. I prefer deep tissue and couldn't fathom how such a tiny woman would be capable of inflicting pain. To my surprise she was able to "man handle" me with ease. She was literally on her hands and knees on top of me with her elbows in my back. It was wonderful in summary and I plan to return very soon. I now highly recommend this place. The only reason for the 3 stars instead of 4 is because of the noise level during the foot massage. Hopefully they figure out how to fix that problem. read more

*I am updating my review as I was gifted with a couples massage from my husband and have now experienced a massage from here.* Massage- overall the massage was maybe 3 stars- decent pressure, focussed on areas I asked to, but very different from what we have ever experienced at several other places in St Louis. They were up straddling us on the table at one point which was just unnecessary and she hardly touched my hands, arms, legs and feet in a 90 minute massage. Both me and my husband thought they focused on our butts a lot too, which seemed strange since they did not hardly get to other major areas. The ambiance- way too small of room for a couples massage, they couldn't even walk around our tables at the sides because of how small the room was. This caused my masseuse to bump into me quite a bit. They spoke in their native language a bit throughout the massage, which usually wouldn't bother me other than we are supposed to be relaxing and they were talking and even laughed a few times. Cleanliness- my masseuse was clearly sick and sniffling the whole time. And I mean trying to stop snot from dripping out. She kept blowing her nose and then getting right back to my massage- disgusting! My husband mentioned it after as he could hear it and he was grossed out too. - - - - - - - Initial review of 1 star: My rating is on customer service. I purchased a groupon for a couples massage and called to see availability for tomorrow afternoon, a Sunday. She told me she has several slots available and we settled on 11am. I'm a massage junkie. Swanky day spas, sketchy stores in the mall, I don't care. Just rub my back! I could not believe how cheap these massages are. A couples massage is $100 pre-tip, and it's worth every penny. I have a physical job, and a lot of time I'm in pain from it. I can't stand light touch Swedish massages because I feel like they're a waste of time. I won't say the massages at Sunrise are pain-free, but they are deep pressure and work out all of the knots. I'm usually slightly sore the next day, but it's absolutely worth it. My only complaint is the thin walls; you can hear every phone call, every person entering the building, and people talking in other rooms. Fabulous experience! I'm a massage lover and I went to different places trying to get a really good one. I found this spa store from Groupon which has a great discount deal, but I decided to call first see what else do they have and YES I was so surprised to know the store price is even more cheaper than purchase from Groupon! The pressure was perfect. Thorough focus on key areas and I felt knots and stress melt away. I did not like that the couples massage area was up in the front. I could hear people coming and going as well as people coughing. The door opened right to the lobby where people sit and could see in. I'd suggest a screen or curtain for privacy and maybe better music. It was also difficult to communicate w the therapist working on my honey. I walked out. The "therapist" had no concept of human physiology and I am pretty sure she had no training. She spoke no English so I could not communicate with her. I finally motioned for her to please leave the room so I could get dressed. The manager on duty did not care to hear my concern but only tried to push another non-English speaking girl on me. This place is positively awesome. I bought the Day Lily package on Groupon, which includes an hourlong foot and below-the-knee leg massage and an hourlong full body massage. The Asian technique is somewhat different from Western massage that I've had, and it not only feels better but seems to yield more lasting results. For example, for "knots" in my shoulders, she used her arm or heel of her palm with significant pressure to dissolve them instead of her fingers. This hurt far less and was extremely effective. I have osteoarthritis in multiple joints and was pain-free when I left. Before I moved to St. Louis, I used to go regularly to a Chinese foot massage spa in Dallas that was fabulous. Until today I'd not found a Western masseuse in St. Louis who was as skilled in reflexology as that place. But Sunrise provides the same outstanding experience. I can't decide which I enjoyed more: the body or foot massage, since both were great. If forced to choose, I would have to pick the foot massage because it's so hard to find people who do this really well. And finally, yes, the reflexology room has multiple massage tables because you don't have to disrobe. I was the only one there today but never found this to be problematic at Asian spas in Dallas that provide reflexology services in communal rooms. I mean, people, $35.00 for a 60" quality foot massage?!How can you beat that? I drove from St. Louis City, and it was well worth the time. I love this place!! At times I can see how it can be stressful because the massage therapists dont speak much english...but they are still very sweet. The massages are heavenly. They really seem to know their pressure points. The one thing that is odd is the foot massage room, there can be up to 3 other people getting massages so you can easily get pulled out of your relax trance. But I found it not to bad to block it out...take some headphones and listen to Enya on pandora or something. The full body massage rooms are private, cozy and quiet. They really seem to get into deep tissue. The prices arent bad at all! The 4 stars is becase of those few issues I mentioned above. If your not a patient person I can see how it can be odd with minimal instructions or the fact you are getting a foot massage next to total strangers, then again if you get pedicures whats the difference except quieter and waaay better. Massage comes down to your preference and how you like to be worked on. I get massages weekly and have for nearly 10 years so I know exactly what I like. I am always hesitant to find a new massage therapist but when I saw the Living Social deal for a one hour foot massage and a one hour full body massage for $50 I couldn't resist. Alas I missed the Living Social but booked the appointment anyway ($100 at full price). I arrived and was greeted at the door by the owner and was in my first room for a 15 minute foot soak, then a 45 minute foot and lower leg massage, then onto the 60 minute full body massage. While many people say the decor is sparse, it's perfect for a nice zen atmosphere. It's very quiet, the massage therapists know what they're doing. You're not getting people just out of school, you're getting seasoned professionals. I have been with each therapist now and buy my massages there in packs of four they're so good. I can highly recommend every therapist, they all have great technique and can really work well with you -- but speak up if they are going too hard as this is not your normal massage. This is massage therapy. Not just relaxation. And while the prices are amazing (and they are) please remember to tip at least 20% on the NON discounted rate! They deserve it. Book your first appointment and get hooked, then go ahead and buy four and 25% off. You can't beat that. Even at $100 for a two hour massage you are getting a deal. And if you like your feet rubbed -- or your partner does -- buy them a massage here. You will be incredibly pleased with what you get. I love this place! I'm not going to lie, it looks a little sketchy from the exterior. However, it is totally legit and amazing! For a very reasonable price, you can get an hour long foot and neck massage. The women are very sweet and do a wonderful job. I must start by saying that my husband and I get massages regularly. My husband bought us a Groupon and so our experience with Sunrise Day Spa began. First we really struggled to make an appointment. Every time we called they always said they were booked. Finally we got an appointment and when we showed up they said they didn't have our appointment on record. Really? After getting a babysitter and driving all the way there they didn't have our appointment? After speaking with them they managed to fit us in that day and it was the worst massages either of us had ever had. They were so rough, I had to tell my lady 4 times to ease up- I even yelled ouch 2 times. We both left extremely sore, clearly these people had no training- you shouldn't leave hurting that bad. We will not return. We will not recommend them. Save your money and time and go someplace nicer, cleaner and more relaxing. read more

As stated before the original location suffered from a fire. The location we were redirected to was the Chesterfield location. It is located in the same building as the veterinarian. It is attached to that building. I'm not sure if this a temporary location for them or not. I give them four stars because there wasn't any visual stimulation. I plan to update my review when we visit again. At the end of the massage when it was time to pay we signed up on emails and was told we will receive a free visit and the new location. I know they have to remodel and probably buy new things so I'm warning you now the decor is very limited. I did a couples massage with babe and it was amazing. They did an awesome job with the massage. We both really enjoyed it. We can't wait to come back! If you pay cash they give you about $5 dollars off. So we had a couples massage for $110 for one hour. Amazing! I get massages fairly regularly (1-2 times a month) and this is by far the best massage I've had in St.Louis! They aren't afraid to get up close and personal, often times climbing on the table to really release a pressure point. This was one of the worst experiences of my life.I left that place crying, frustrated, and in more pain than I came with. If I could give 0 stars I would. I'm going to start with the worst part. I always leave my underwear on when I get a massage. In general, I am very uncomfortable with people touching me and I'm always a little nervous at the beginning of a massage. Knowing I'm with a professional always helps. This woman was whipping the sheets off me left and right, exposing way more of my body than I am ever comfortable with. At one point, she started to PULL MY UNDERWEAR DOWN. I couldn't believe it. I didn't know what to do. Then later she began to PULL IT OFF EVEN MORE, like she was trying to take my underwear off. In NO WAY is that EVER necessary or acceptable. I'm shaking just writing about it. She touched me in places I was extremely comfortable about. I eventually had to abruptly turn over and tell her that my undergarments need to stay where I left them, as I left them on for a reason. She said OK, but looked at me like I was crazy, and as I was pulling them back up she reached to touch them again and PULL THEM BACK DOWN, so I repeated myself with a more stern tone. At one point her hand was caressing the sides of my breasts as well. I seriously felt borderline harassed. I was too nervous to get up and leave even though it's all I wanted to do. I wanted to cry the entire time. The massage itself, if you could even call it that, was God awful. The woman very obviously did not know what she was doing and made no effort to seem like she did. She put extreme pressure on very random parts of my body which left me in a lot of pain, and the rest of it was like someone just slabbed some oil on and randomly started rubbing. At no point did anything she did feel good. Clearly knew nothing of the human body or where muscles were. I went in because I had an awful migraine which I told them multiple times and they seemed to understand. She proceeded to scratch my head like a dog LITERALLY. Like with her nails and everything. Then started to KARATE CHOP my head?? Needless to say, i left with a worse migraine than before. I don't know on what level a person would ever think that would be good for someone's head. There is a huge language barrier, which usually is not a problem for me as I can find alternate way of expressing my needs, but these people did not want to hear anything I said and at one point started talking to me in their language (I think it was Indian) like I would understand what she was saying on any level. That was so incredibly bizarre. There was also a moment with payment where I left NO TIP, but the thing messed up so she redid it and insisted on me choosing my tip choice with her watching. It was extremely uncomfortable and I felt obligated to tip the minimum which was 15% which in no way did they deserve. I WILL NEVER RETURN HERE AND I HOPE THAT NO ONE WILL EVER EXPERIENCE THE HORRORS I DID FROM THIS PLACE read more
