Our Canyon's first service. They got me right in. The Service Dept staff was very friendly & patient. They answered all my questions & checked out the two issues that I thought I had with my truck; user error. The wait time seemed a little excessive, but I suspect had I not had to have Techs from three different disciplines check stuff out, it would've been MUCH shorter wait. I took my year & half old puppy with me too. Everyone was suprisingly open to have my leashed dog there with me. That was DEFINITELY a plus for me! All in all, a very nice experience. This is my second time leaving a review, and it will be my last because I will no longer be returning to this location. I purchased my vehicle here and recently visited the service department for my first routine maintenance appointment on my brand-new 2026 Buick Envista Sport. During the visit, I was told there was a possible oil leak and asked to return for further inspection because they were unsure whether a leak even existed. What is most concerning is that the service notes falsely state that I reported an oil leak myself, which is completely untrue. I came in for routine maintenance only. I will be seeking a second opinion at another dealership due to the lack of confidence this experience has caused. I will give this dealership 0 stars if it was possible. I have been here 6 times in this year. My daughter has a chevy cruise and we paid 4800 dollars for a turbo and I had to bring the car back a week later for same thing. I sat at the dealership for the entire day and was told the car was good. Brought it back two days later for check engine light back on. I was told the car was fine. My daughter drove it exactly a month same issue. I was told it was fuel injectors and paid 900 more dollars for it to be fix. I'm am here again 10/ 21/24 abd still having Issue with turbo that was the original problem. This is bad business and all I want is her car fixed properly. They also put that there was something wrong with motor. Took the car to another Chevrolet dealer and was told nothing is wrong with engine of the car. The dealer was in Aw about us being told that and putting it the paperwork. Printed out the codes and the turbo was one of them that was on the paperwork. My company purchased two GMC 2500 trucks from this location and Mark Eaves was the salesman for both purchases. He was horrible, with the second purchase. No explaining of vehicle, did not go over anything on this truck. Contacted him 3 days after purchase about a mark in the paint on tailgate, showed it to him and he said he would take care of it. After a month of calling and leaving message, contacted sales manager, Mark finally returned call. Had dent doctor look at it, stated they couldn't fix it. Once again tried for several days to get back in touch with Mark, got appointment scheduled, now he stating this was caused by trailer hitch and he doesn't remember us contacting him right after purchase. Refusing to fix problem. Would not even give this place a one star but it makes you check it. Will never recommend the place and especially not Mark Eaves. read more

When he brought the vehicle, he stated that he had to do the oil change over because the technican overfilled the engine which could have possibly caused damage somewhere inwhich I am uncertain of with overfilling. I noticed the have changed from 3402 to 3411, that's 9 extra miles when the service manager brought me the vehicle back. So, in fact he actually drove the extra oil off and lied to me and stated that he had to redo the oil change. I made he ride with me around the corner to see how the vehicle was driving next. It drives better. I am trying to make a decision on whether I want to continue my repair services. I like to go over my warranty with you Monday at 4pm if that's ok with you. Last phone call I received was on Thursday 4/15/2021 Now, from 4/14- present date, my father is in the er and I'm stuck with this loaner that I am uncertain of what condition it is in. Scheduled an oil change and tire rotation/balance at 0845 in the morning. I checked in early around 0830 and at around 1015 my truck finally made it into the bay. I was told by the cashier and service representatives that sometimes they (The dealership) overbook appointment times. I also asked about a car wash and I was told that they do not do a good job by a service representative; " You would be disappointed with the wash since they don't do a good job ". Management needs to have a conversation with the scheduling staff and his/her team to fix this. UNPROFESSIONAL, and HIGHLY DISRESPECTFUL to customers. This is the first GMC Dealer Service department to disappoint me. The industry standard needs to be found again and adhered to to ensure customers are treated appropriately and their personal time is not wasted. read more

We bought a '21 Envision, love the car. Minor issues , they were supposed to fill our gas tank (they didn't) & detail the interior (sub par job). Annoying, but not enough to warrant a 1 star review. The problem, is in the follow up service. We didn't realize until the day after we bought the car that it only came with 1 key fob, so we called & left vm for our sales guy & Jeff, the used car mgr. Days went by, no response. Called again & left new vm's, weeks went by, no response. 3 weeks into playing this game my Husband finally contacted the GM, Ryan, who got back to him almost immediately. Got a follow up call that day from Jeff, who scheduled us to come in on Labor day to have a new fob programmed. We made that 45 minute drive only to find out Jeff failed to check to see if the Tech who would be doing the programming was actually working that day... He was not so that whole trip was for nothing. Tried calling Jeff b4 we left the dealership, no answer. Again days went by with no response. Again, contacted Ryan & only THEN did Jeff call us. Finally, after about 6 weeks passed, we got the key fob made by the Chevy dealership here in Covington. The lack of communication by Jeff was appalling & frustrating. As small business owners ourselves, that level of disrespect to one of our customers by an employee, let alone one in a management position would NOT be tolerated, period. If Jeff worked for us, he'd be out of a job. Dealership needs to seriously re-evaluate his performance & make necessary changes. read more

Two reviews in one. Brought my truck in for service in June to the Sunrise GMC (at the Covington Pike location) because my truck lost acceleration. Drop the truck off and was told later that day that they wouldn't be able to look at our truck for a couple of days due to the service department getting their floors redone! Why weren't we told that when we made the appointment? They kept my truck for 6 days, spent a whole 10 minutes looking at it and TRIED to charge me $138 in labor. They found nothing wrong but tried to sell me on a fuel injector service, which isn't covered under my warranty. Today I had another issue with my truck that would be covered under my warranty so I thought I would give the Sunrise GMC Wolfchase a try. Called and made an appointment at 8:00 AM. Dropped the car off with Jason in the service department, had Quick conversation with a salesman (Eddie) about a new truck and went to work. Called the dealership at 3:00 pm because I hadn't heard anything all day. Jason is no longer there. He quit or got fired. Ok that's enough for me, I'm going to get my truck back. Eddie calls me and tell me that they are working on my truck now. NOT TRUE. Show up there and no one knows anything. Stand around for 20 minutes until I meet with the head of service and he informs me that they need a part and cannot get it until tomorrow. If they had communicated that to me sometime in the 7 HOURS they had my truck it wouldn't have been a problem but the fact that I had to show up there to get any answers is ridiculous. I was set to trade in my vehicle and purchase a new truck. Still am but not from Sunrise GMC. Go there if you like getting jerked around. read more

I bought my 2021 GMC truck from another dealer in Kentucky and 3 weeks later the engine quit. I took it to Sunrise GMC because it is under warranty and I live just a couple miles from there. A couple days later they told me that the engine had seized up. They needed the inspection report from the dealer I bought it from and I received the report and sent it to Sunrise. After my truck had sat at Sunrise for 1 1/2 weeks I went to the to the dealership and saw my truck sitting in the same spot as when it was dropped off. I went in and talked to the service department and they told me it would be 3 weeks before they could even tear into the engine to see what caused the problem, and THEN they would order the new engine and install. I'm sure this will take at least two more weeks. I asked for a loaner or if they would pay to rent a vehicle for me, like good dealerships would do, and they said no. So now I'm going to have to bum rides back and forth to work or spend my own money to rent a car for at least a month and a half. This is BS. I would not recommend this place. Too bad there is not an option for a Zero star. read more

My husband bought a GMC truck here, brought it in for an oil change and then the next day the check engine light came on. He brought it back to service and they said it was evap system and there was no reason to replace it at that time and sent him home. Less than two months later the engine cut off on him mid drive (with our baby in the car!) He brought the truck back in and they said the computer said it was the evap system again but no one actually checked the engine themselves (you'd think with a vehicle cutting off in traffic you'd do your job and not rely on a computer reader). Next month the vehicles engine is totally shot, and they said something had broken off in the engine and caused a mini explosion and we have to buy a new engine. Funny thing about all of this is that his warranty was up literally only a week after the engine light came on...don't think that was a coincidence. Corporate doesn't give a crap either, worst customer service I've ever experienced. read more

I don't understand the point behind making appointments if you're not going to honor them. My appointment was scheduled for 10:00 am. I arrived at 9:30 am and you didn't even pull my truck into the garage until after 12:00pm. Thank you for wasting my only day off. I guess the hold up could have been caused by all the poor women you suckered into buying new air and cabin filters. That's probably where the extra work came in. In those hours I sat there, your mechanics informed every customer there to have other work done, that they either didn't have the part, had the wrong part or couldn't fix their problems. So, why so long?? None of it makes sense. And to top it off, after I gave you almost $80 to waste my time your cashier YELLS, "We sure appreciate ya! Have a great day!" I would've loved to have had a great day lady but you wasted my whole day for a 30 min oil change. Will never be back! Have bought a new car from yall every 3 years for almost 20 years now. Made an appointment for oil change and tire rotation at 8:00 am. Asked the service advisor if it would take an about an hour and he said yes. When I went back to him at 9:45am and asked about it , he went to service bay, came back and said it was on the rack and would be another 20 minutes. It wound up taking 2 hours and 15 minutes. Not to mention that I asked for the new sticker which goes on the inside of the glass to reflect 7500 miles until next oil change. Of course, it was done at 5000. Time to find a new dealership. HAIL DAMAGED SUVS Sunrise will sell you a undisclosed hail damaged SUV as a certified Preowned and not honor the CPO purchase contract a week later after the deal is done. It clearly had a GM warranty block on it which is visible to the dealership in the GM system. This car was in a significant hail storm in Louisiana according to GM corporate. Buyer beware. Went to Sunrise Buick GMC back in February 2022 to have the starter replaced on my wife's Chevrolet Suburban. Things seem to go as expected until Monday of this week. The starter went bad after my wife's trip to her doctor. Didn't know at the time, so I attempted to boost it off, but no luck. Battery was replaced about 3 weeks ago so I knew this was a long shot, but still worth trying. Sunrise informed me back in February 2022 of a 2-year GM parts warranty on the starter. Had it towed to them at my own expense and they tell me the battery I purchased caused the starter to malfunction. Fair enough as they covered the cost to replace it, however, they said the negative battery cable needed replacement. I said that was fine, not thinking it would be final total of $558.03 ($119.52 in parts and $362.50 labor). I could have replaced a negative battery cable in any capacity in 2.5 hours (amount of time charged). I confirmed with three different auto parts stores that the battery Advance Auto sold to me was the correct battery. My wife and I have the money to buy any vehicle we believe is best suited for our family. I have been a loyal GM buyer since I was 15 years old (26 years), but I will not purchase any other Chevrolet/GMC products given this occurrence. They are merely attempting to pass along costs that they cannot afford to maintenance issues that any average car owner could resolve along with blaming someone else in the instance you don't buy all parts from the dealer. Save your time and money and buy anything other than GM. read more

We just bought a GMC Sierra 1500 on the 10th from Bob Plakon at Sunrise GMC and wanted to say how happy we were with the whole experience. He is a very nice guy, all the salesmen seemed very nice, and we felt comfortable with him, even from the first phone conversation.  He was upfront with us about our choices, explained everything and he found us a great deal with a beautiful truck just a little above what we wanted to spend. We are in our mid 50's and every car buying experience has been a nightmare except this one. Everything in the past has always been high pressure sales. Bob was sincere and worked hard on our behalf to make it possible. We believed what he said, and did not feel the need to haggle. We were happy with what we got for our trade in. Bethany was our finance person, and she did a fabulous job! The finance part is always the most stressful and the most high pressure part and I just hate to walk in that little room knowing what is about to happen. Surprise! Bethany, was wonderful, speedy, friendly and went over our choices with no pressure at all. I lost a title to my trade in and was dreading the ordeal to replace it and she just took care of it for me!! We enjoyed our entire car buying experience with Sunrise GMC. We have always bought from Ford dealerships in the past. We will be visiting Sunrise for future needs and will definitely pass on our great experience. Would not recommend this dealership for purchasing or servicing a vehicle. We went to the dealership to see a certified used Buick Enclave they advertised online only to get "we already sold it." When we were leaving due to lack of interest in the rest of their inventory they "found" another Enclave with the same mileage/features/etc. but it was a higher price than what was advertised l. When the vehicle was driven to dealership I pulled up the online ad I saved on my phone and found it to be the EXACT SAME VEHICLE (via VIN#). Sales manager who'd lied to us danced around my questions about this, but ultimately honored the online price. Should've been a huge red flag to me, but ultimately it was a "good deal" on a vehicle we wanted so I went through with the purchase. Fast forward 2 weeks and we are having issues with the A/C system causing loud rattling within the vehicle. The service manager Austin was very smug with my wife and initially refused to give us a loaner vehicle (which we are entitled to as the car is still under factory warranty). After I pointed this out to him via phone call from work, he "finds" a loaner vehicle and gives it to us for the day. Of course they can't "duplicate" the issue and we are forced to re-live the scenario 2 more times and they have yet to repair. 2 months later one of the LED headlights fails. We call the dealership and the service department tells us "headlights are not covered" in our bumper-to-bumper warranty. We then call the Buick warranty service hotline and find out that they are in fact covered and the agent recommended "not to use Sunrise Buick GMC in Bartlett" for service. Bottom line is they have been untruthful multiple times and are not worthy of my business. read more

After asking for sales help multiple times to no avail (there was sales staff sitting around chatting, certainly not taking care of customers and then there was the crew around the side of the building chain smoking) so after an hour I left. Between looking at his phone and leaving to be right back I left feeling like I was wasting his time. I gave them permission to run my credit on a certain vehicle and we were not able to reach a deal. However a few days or maybe a week later I text Eddie Curry, the sunrise salesman asking if they had a certain truck on the lot and he said they did and I said I would be by later to check it out. On my way there I get a credit notification saying they ran my credit on a truck I said I wanted to look at not buy. Then I was approached by Eddie and another gentleman giving me the total out the door price and when I said I'm not paying for the processing fee they both got rude instead of working my request a different way. Today I received a text message from Eddie Curry asking " are you gonna buy the truck or not ?" The lack of customer service by these two "men" is ridiculous and childish just because I didn't wanna pay the processing fee or a truck from them. Also, running my credit a second time without my permission is something else ! Definitely will not be looking or referring anyone to any of the Sunrise locations. read more
