BUYER BEWARE ~ SELLS BROKEN CARS HE SAYS ARE FINE…read more So, I should have read the many negative yelp reviews here first but I didn't. I went to check out a car with a fully clean carfax report that the seller said they had done a thorough inspection on and everything was good, no reported problems. The car was not cheap at $29,000. I wrongly took his word for it. He offers only a 2 day and 250 mile return policy that you have to pay for. That should have been a bad sign that he doesn't let you drive it for longer. I took it to a mechanic and they found a significant leak that is uncommon on cars of that year and mileage. The quote for the repair was around $3,000. I sent it to him and asked him to pay for it. He refused and said I could bring the car back if I wanted so I did. Overall a huge headache and waste of my time. If I hadn't brought it to a mechanic myself I might have ended up with an expensive car that needed thoasands of dollars of work. His only response was 'used cars need work sometimes' but when I was buying it he just kept talking about how great of shape it was in. SHADY DEALER. He also discouraged me to buy the return policy(which should be free anyway).

As an out-of-town buyer, I was skeptical about making such a large purchase (~$80K) without seeing…read morethe vehicle in person. However, George and his business partner Julia completely eased my concerns, even answering my late-night questions. George walked me through every step of the process and did several virtual showings, being very honest--even pointing out tiny interior scratches most people wouldn't bother mentioning. I really appreciated their sales approach--never pushy, just focused on making the whole experience pleasant. I had originally planned to fly in and pick up the car, but due to the cost, I decided to have it shipped. George and his team went the extra mile, coordinating with the shipping company (even on weekends!) and teaching me a few money-saving tricks as an out-of-town buyer. George was extremely thorough, taking tons of photos as the car was loaded onto the delivery truck to ensure no damage. The car arrived exactly as described, and I couldn't be happier. Thank you, George and Julia, for making this such a fantastic buying experience--I'm absolutely loving my new car! I'd definitely purchase from SV Auto Sales again when the opportunity arises. Derek

In November 2024 I was looking for specific model older BMW 5-series. I'm in Southern California…read moreand couldn't find the right one near me, so did a wider search and found one via Craigslist in Ata's lot. I'm already nervous about buying used cars, and even more nervous because it was too far away for me to look at. I read all these Yelp reviews for his business, and was impressed because he was rated higher than most used car dealerships. And he provided a free CarFax report, so I knew the car's history and was impressed it only had 2 owners over 24 years. I talked to Ata by phone about the car, then hired a mobile mechanic (also found through Yelp) in the Rancho Cordova area, and sent him in to inspect the car. Ata was very accommodating and tolerant of the mechanic's inspection and lengthy test drive, during which I was on the phone with the mechanic and Ata. I ended up buying the car, and Ata recommended a shipping option he's used that even cost less than what I could get through one of the national car transport companies. Ata took care of a small dent in the bumper before shipping the car, he included the 30-day drivetrain warranty noted on the Craigslist ad, handled all of the paperwork, and I ended up with a great car I'm thrilled to own! The man takes pride in the cars he "curates" for his business and is an honest gentleman. Truly a "Top Quality" operation.

::Edit after manager response and salesman message::…read morePrevious rating still stands, however after reading the managers response, getting a message from the salesman wanting to talk to me about my rating and seeing the price increase on the Jeep I had to pop back on and say maybe they know that the listing is dishonest? And to the managers response about adding a service package and other things, I was actually told the exact OPPOSITE. I was told it's a used car and if I drove out the lot and the engine fell out at the stop light up the road I was out of luck. Almost a direct quote. And in the same conversation was told repeatedly how you stand by your cars. Not sure what to think.
