Travel plan? Avoid ALL Toll S!
    Dr. T.

SUNPASS is a forced revenue collection device of the Florida Department of Transportation. Corrupt, incompetent and a continuous burden to all who are victimized by this antiquated Good Ol' Boy system. "Mr. DeSantis - Tear Down These Walls to Fair Freedom of Travel!" The citizens already paid for the roadways! Now with many ways to grab user payments - but still a pain in the ass to pay the fees! No functioning "On-Line" or phone payment service. As with most government related services - they dont have to care and there is nothing we can do about it. Taxation without representation. Shhhhh.......

Absolutely awful, no other words to describe it. I called 3 months ago and spoke to a lady regarding my toll. I explained I never received an invoice and I wanted to see if I had an outstanding balance. She looked up my license plate and gave me an amount. I payed the amount over the phone and I clearly asked her if that was it. 3 months later I get a bill for more money that I owe them. Now I'm calling and I can't get ahold of somebody. F*ck this place!

Scrambling to find testing, drive-thru testing is available at South County Civic Center 7 days a week from 9-7. We're all vaccinated and have our boosters. My husband & I tested negative last week when we flew back from Colombia so I'm not too worried, but with the holidays, we have family coming, and we all have to work in the office this week, so just to be safe. The line is long. It wraps all through the parking lot and onto Jog Road. It moves and is well organized. I got on the line at 11:15, an hour later, I'm about half way through. From start to finish it was just under 2 hours. Not they way I wanted to spend my Sunday morning, but it is what it is. Testing for both tests, the rapid and the PCR took less than a minute. Results for the rapid came back really fast. We weren't even home yet when the text came through. So what were the results...my younger boy and I are negative and my husband and the older one will be in a hotel in Miami for the next 10 days.

Yelp told me that there were very few reviews of the Florida Turnpike Boca Raton, and if I wrote…read moreone it could be huge!!! I get that no one really has any incentive to write a review for something like this but lets ask ourselves this question: I live in Ft. Lauderdale and work in Boca Raton so I have to take one of them back and forth. HAS ANYONE TRIED TO FIGHT THE TRAFFIC ON I-95 LATELY? It is not even quite in season yet and it has been a miserable time in the last 3 months on 95. I have seen more accidents, huge delays and people get on 95 and think they are invincible. Next are the helmetless motorcycle drivers going 75 miles per hour between the lanes of traffic, just inches away from my side view mirror. So sick of I 95 and no wonder they call it the worst Interstate in the country. Thus, THE FLORIDA TURNPIKE!!! Once you get on it, it is smooth sailing 90 percent of the time. People complain about having to pay tolls, but the tolls pay for the upkeep of all the new detours to 595 express lanes, the upkeep of the road and a number of other things. And we really aren't paying any tolls. There is a Sunpass that deducts money off your debit and credit card, so you don't even know your paying tolls. LOL. And no more finding change or money laying around in your car to get by. Here is the catch about the Boca Raton toll Plaza. You need to know the perfect time to drive down Glades Rd. to avoid a lot of traffic there before the Turnpike entrance. Thus, if possible make sure you are on Glades between 5:00-5:10 pm. if possible. It gets busy after that time. Sometimes we all get tired after work before we go home, so conveniently there is that Starbucks on that turn right before the Turnpike entrance. Grab a coffee , swing out again and stay on your right and you are on your way. Yeah,, so when you are on I-95 then switch your route to the Turnpike, now that is HUGE!!! Huge saving in time and NO MORE bumper to bumper traffic home. I am going to be so sorry that I wrote this because if it causes more people to take the TURNPIKE, then we could have another I-95. Safe South Florida travels!!!
