Called LOGIN.GOV after multiple attempts to get a live operator, finally got someone who actually looked at the error, and they said it's an SSA problem and told me to call them. I didn't want to wait so I made an appointment about a month and a half ago as well as submitted an application prior to arriving. About 30 minutes before the appointment, I received a link to check in. The link activates 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Within 5 minutes of walking in, I was done. I've never had such a positive experience with a government office. The clerk who helped me was friendly and efficient. Waiting room was also pretty empty - I'm sure you could do a walk in without having to wait too long. Just make sure you have all the proper documentation. read more

The wait was not bad...but the attitude of the agent was rude. She did not attempt to enter any information in the system regarding a payment I was waiting from regarding my mom's estate. The letter I received from SSA suggested I visit the local office , which I did...and she dismissed me , implied I was a fool. Poor customer service skills. read more

I had an exceptionally great experience at this location from the guards to the clerk. My appointment was for a week from today but I really needed to get name changed ASAP so I decided to just walk in and the guard called back to see if they were taking walk ins for the day and at that time they were not. He explained to the clerk what I needed done and he took my number said he would call back if he saw they could help me today and lo and behold I got a phone call within 2 hours. I was pleasantly surprised with how quick and easy my experience here was. I was putting this off for so long because any government service agency tends to be nightmarish. I walked in without an appointment, was greeted by the absolute friendliest security guard, got my ticket, and was called in about 10 minutes to a window. Appointment made via the phone at 1040 am, was finally called back to a window at 1115 am which was fine however, the woman at the window told me that I did not fill out a application which I was never told to do via the phone from their employee. The application took me less then 5 minutes to complete and the woman at the window refused to wait for me to fill out the application she sent me back out to the waiting room to wait with my newborn. She informed me that she couldn't leave people waiting to wait for me, the best part is she didn't even call another number to her window before I finished the application I was never directed to do. I get it's a government office and there are long wait times but the woman was so rude and disgusting. read more

In July, I made an appointment for someone. 0n the day of appointment I received a voice mail, canceled because the appointment was made too early for Social Security benefits. I then went to the office and made an appointment for August 1at 3 PM, closer to his 65th. I got all the paperwork at 2:30 and decided to call and verify the 3:00appointment. I spoke to a gentleman and transferred my call. No answer, but I did leave a voicemail asking about my 3:00 app, that I'm ready for the call. At 3:07, 3:18, I called back no answer. I decided to drive there. On the way I got a call at 3:46. The office in the Boca Raton closes at 4 PM. Claiming she couldn't hear me, and that my phone sounds like it's 17 feet away. She called back at 3:47 same excuse. I have a brand new!! 2024 car. Never had a problem with any receiving calls. We pulled over to complete the call out of the car. She asked questions and only wanted a yes and no answer. If the questions were answered differently, she got extremely upset .We didn't get anywhere with the process. She called 46 mins later after 3:00 appointment time. ...with excuses not hearing us then asking questions with an argumentative, upsetting, rude words. She made it so difficult to answer questions with a yes or no. And consistently talked over him when he was trying to explain. if you ask me, it sounds like she wanted to leave work, as early as 3:00. But because I left a message 10 minutes before 3pm on her answering machine, it , made it difficult for her and instead she got frustrated.. read more

I can't say how delighted we were with the service here today. We arrived at 8:45 and went straight to the floor. The room was bright and clean and the security was pleasant and helpful. We were seen by 9:15 and completed by 9:30 to change citizenship. After another 15 minute wait we applied for Medicare and an online account. First class in all respects. read more

The black lady in window 18 is very disrespectful,and rude,and I witnessed her trying to escalate a gentleman simply asking a legitimate question.This disrespect is uncalled for.I'm too old to deal with a condescending woman because lady she is not.Ladies usually are kinder and respectful but not this one.I have emotional problems where I'm scared to go out and this lady treating me with such disrespect makes me hate humanity more.How could you go out of your way with a frown on your face and disrespect 3 other adults with your lack of professionalism.She is not a good person and is a trouble maker.I wish I would've recorded her foul behavior.Whoever has a problem with this woman post it so that together we can make a difference. read more

I am so surprised by the prompt service I had today. I had been putting off changing my name for months, dreading having to go in person and wait in a line for hours. I arrived today about 20 minutes before the office opened. i used the self check-in process to obtain a ticket. A few other people were already there waiting. At exactly 9 AM, the clerks began calling tickets. My ticket was called about 5th, so right away. I was out the door finished with my transaction by 9:05 AM! read more

I had an awful experience at the Boca Raton office. I went there to find out why on the Social Security website, my projected benefit was different on the main page versus the downloaded statement from the exact same website. I was served at window 15. The clerk was a middle-aged Black lady. After taking my ID, she asked what I needed and I attempted to slide my printout under the glass and she said in a rude voice, "DON'T SHOVE ANYTHING UNDER THE GLASS." I went on to explain the situation and that I didn't understand why the numbers from two components of the same website would be different. She said it was just an estimate. I said I understand it's an estimate but shouldn't the projections be consistent from the live website and the downloaded statement from the same website? She again said it was just an estimate. I tried to get her to understand the problem but she just got up and walked away. At that point an elderly white lady in a reddish-brown bob came over and said the same thing, it was just an estimate. I said again the estimate should be consistent and how can I resolve this, who can I speak to? She said there is no one I could speak to and then said, "You need to leave," and lowered the window shade. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. Someone needs to talk these individuals, whose salary we are all paying, by the way. read more
