I remember when Acme did a promo that got you a discount on gas here (from 5 to 30 cents depending on my much you spent at Acme) and even if the discount it was only comparable to other locations. Yes, this location has more to offer than just gas, but given the gas prices, I'll pass.

I had just moved into Bensalem. It was my first time ever at this gas station. I was borrowing my Mom's car to help move items into my new home and filling the gas tank for her before returning it. The card reader on the pump was broken. Fine. So I went inside to pay. I stood behind a man in line for a solid 8 minutes while the woman behind the desk had a full on "hey how ya doin" conversation with him and totally neglected me and the person in line behind me. Finally, I paid for my gas, went outside, and pumped it. I went to start my car, and the battery had died. Now if this had been my car, I would have had jumper cables; however, it was my Mother's, and she did not. I returned inside and once again waited for the woman behind the counter to acknowledge my presence as she did everything aside from ringing me up. Finally, she came over and I VERY POLITELY asked if I could borrow their set of jumper cables to jump my car. She looks at me, and I kid you not, she had a full on smirk on her face and says "You can BUY some jumper cables". The singsong "haha, I'm going to get something out of you" voice she used was unmistakable. She could have said "No ma'am, I'm sorry, we only have them for sale". I know that was not true, because their obviously used "gas station" jumper cables were hanging right behind her on the wall!! I was so taken aback by her incredibly rude way of responding that I said a few choice words and stormed out. Luckily, a good samaritan was at the pump next to me and was kind enough to drive back to his house, grab his jumper cables, and come back to give me a jump. This gas station is not only the most expensive in the area, but they are rude as anything. I tell every single one of my friends and family to avoid going there and have not been surprised to hear some of them express their distaste for this particular Exxon. I will never go back. Save a few pennies and drive down the road. This place is terrible.

It was my understanding, as I shared with Steve on the phone, that my tires needed to be pulled to complete a State inspection and because I specifically asked Steve at inspection time to check my brakes...that I thought I needed front brakes. According to Steve, he can see the brakes through the wheel and no need to pull the tires. My confusion as I don't see how you can measure the depth of a brake pad, but he insisted he doesn't pull tires for inspection, and as I am now learning, to even check my brakes. Very concerning as I have over 96,000 miles on my car and never had brakes done. According to PennDot, it is required by law that a licensed inspection station needs to pull tires, one from each axle, in order to complete an inspection. And, according to Honda, he could not have completed a brake inspection without pulling the tires. Very concerning...and now I need to buy new wheel locks as mine are missing. How safe is my car? How bad are the brakes really?
