Three potted cacti are positioned indoors near a window with natural light. The left pot contains a large, ribbed cactus with prominent vertical ridges, small buds, and spines. The right pot holds two flat, paddle-shaped cacti with smooth surfaces and small bumps. The soil appears well-drained, and the setting suggests a collection of houseplants in a home or plant shop environment.

BEST PLANT SHOP IN CHICAGO!!! Sweetest owners, super friendly, and knowledgable! The plants are beautiful and in great shape! The variety of plants is incredible! They have plants you can't find anywhere else in Chicago. If you are looking for high quality plants. THIS IS THE PLACE! It is like plant heaven at Sunnyside Plants! Ann and Tim do an amazing job! I am thankful for Sunnyside Plants! Every time I come to Sunnyside I am amazed by something new whether it be a new plant, something I learned, or something I want next! It is a fun place to go to! Came in looking for a farewell gift for my awesome boss. The owner actually responds to questions you ask on instagram. She was one of 2 people who answered me when i was asking around online the day before i went. The day i came she had a lot of air plants and i saw a couple pink princesses too and whale fins. And she has succulents as well, chillin by the windows. The other staff with her came to me asking if i needed anything. And the owner tries to answer customer questions like "what should i get her etc" and she shared knowledge with me when i asked on IG re: the air plant i got because i realized it had a bloom and it opened minutes after i left. She also supports local businesses by selling little knick knacks as plant decor or home accessories like a hanging diffuser. I've never seen one of those. She also sells small disco balls wrapped in macrame hangers. I would go there again.

Something about this place is inviting before you enter. The shop has light streaming in from multiple directions. The store owner was a delight, warm and personable. They have a nice variety of plants just sitting out for you to observe. The price was competitive, I've seen cheaper. I would return here and plan to come back. I purchased a package of love to help my plants thrive. This is a minority owned business, please support!

Every morning I drive by this cute little shop. Today is payday so of course I finally checked them out! Sooo many options!!! Pricey but the plants are beautiful! Definitely coming back!

By new plant babies! - The image shows two potted houseplants with lush green leaves, one with broad, heart-shaped leaves and the other with narrower, variegated leaves. They are placed inside a brown paper bag, which is being held by a person with painted nails. The background includes a car seat, indicating the plants are being transported or delivered.

Having recently relocated from a few doors down to the corner of Milwaukee and Lawrence, this huge space offers basically any plant you could want. From teeny tiny succulents to massive fiddle leaf figs or monsteras, the plant of your dreams is here. Huge variety of low to high light plants, pots/planters, and soil/ pest control. A lovely local business worth supporting and welcoming to the neighborhood.

The owner is awesome. She's knowledgeable and she had a great collection. Bought the coolest cactus from her. Highly recommend!

Finally a store that caters to what is trending! I had been on the hunt for a Scindapsus Exotica, and Ann at Sunnyside Plants was the one who delivered! The shop is truly a hidden gem. I went in for one plant, and left with five solely because she had so many on my plant wishlist! She had many sizes for the same plant, which gave me plenty of options. I came in fairly close to closing time, and she was so nice about me taking my time to look. I did not feel rushed at all. Just overall a great experience. I definitely plan on visiting again.

Amazing shop, plants all healthy! Lots of variety! People who work here are great and super nice. Asked for advice for certain plants and they were all helpful. Been buying plants for home and work from here. Also I love the different pots they have, I haven't seen in any other shop. Will for sure continue coming here!!!

Ficus Elastica (ruby or tri-color, I already forgot!)

I just picked up a few plants and pots from Sunnyside Plants. I had read reviews that Ann was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Those reviews were completely accurate. Ann listened to what light conditions I was working with and gave me plenty of recommendations. I came in with an idea of what I wanted. Ann helped me find those plants and also showed me alternatives with similar qualities. She is completely honest about which plants may be best to buy elsewhere since the economics of certain plants are a little funky, which is not necessary at all, but it was appreciated. We should be set for a little while with the plants I purchased, but I will definitely be making occasional trips with my wife to see if there are any fun plants we want to pick up on a whim.

philodendron - A potted philodendron plant with variegated green and yellow leaves is positioned on a wooden surface. The plant has numerous leaves with a mix of solid green and yellowish-green patterns. The background features a dark wall, and the plant appears healthy with lush foliage.

It's great to walk into a shop and see only plants grouped together and organized by type, size, and light requirements without any other distractions. I've never seen such a bare bones plant shop organized almost like a clothing store! It makes shopping for a plant very easy. The staff are really knowledgable and helpful. The prices are affordable--each plant is tagged so you don't have to ask for the price. The best part about this shop is that if you really want a rare plant that is cost-prohibitive, you can still find a smaller more beat-up version of the same plant for cheap. It will grow!

A potted plant with patterned, green and silver leaves is placed on a table next to a white ceramic planter shaped like an animal, possibly a lion or a dog. Behind them, a brown paper shopping bag from Sunnyside Plants with tissue paper inside is visible. The scene appears to be in a retail or plant shop setting, with a blurred background showing other objects and a person wearing an orange shirt.

Loved this plant shop! They had a huge selection of plants and different pots. The owner was very friendly and informative. I look forward to visiting this shop frequently. Highly recommend!!

The organic green house not only offers children's and adult classes, they also have a wonderful community garden which is open Thursdays and Saturdays from 10 am to 12 pm. it is also the only teaching greenhouse from the Chicago Park District, located within the grounds of Kilbourn Park. When I called The Mulch Center, I told them I would need the ten yards of premium mulch dropped after a specific time (to avoid my tenants), and on the exact day I specified, in order for me to put it to use. The Much Center managed everything very smoothly. They noted on my invoice for the driver to not call me on the day of delivery (because I would be on a flight), and the driver dropped the mulch in the exact place requested. There was no dumping near the street or other nonsense. Most importantly - the mulch was excellent, competitively priced, and easy to order. I called The Mulch Center office - and was able to speak with someone who managed my order and everything I required as far as the delivery in a single call. Get your mulch from The Mulch Center

I lost over $3500 from the person that picked up the product. Receipts were originally not provided to me, the purchaser. Since then, the owner has contacted me to resolve this and the company is willing to provide receipts and the name of the company who picked up and scammed me. They have agreed to amend their policy to require a copied photo ID of the pickup person. Originally they were to continue to support and protect the middle man, but given this unfortunate circumstance, they are agreeing to work with the purchaser to catch any potential fraud and theft from homeowners. Jimmy is the owner who called me to resolve the issue, provide the name, and provide the receipts to me. I am happy that they are going to take photocopies of the ID cards so that this doesn't happen with them/through them with landscape scammers.
