Booked this hotel through laterooms. Pictures looked good on the website, Its difficult finding a decent hotel in blackpool due to there being so many of various standards. anyway.. First of all i phoned the hotel to let them know that we wont be arriving until 7pm. this was fine, and also the parking space we had reserved was still available. When we go there, i was faced with a closed recepetion area, I eventually found a staff member in the bar. She had no knowledge of our booking, and i asked her to look it up on the computer. She found it. i asked about the parking space, which she again had no knowledge. We ended up putting the car in a private car park nearly a mile away, very annoying. We booked a delux room with a jacuzzi. the room was nice without being stunning, plenty of the usual biccys and tea and coffee and the jacuzzi was great. Breakfast in the morning was like a cattlemarket, there was a long queue for the dining room and the guests rushed in when the doors opened. we waited back until the chaos calmed down, and had a lovely breakfast. The breakfast is self service and there was a good choice. one small letdown, was the juice was the diluting stuff instead of fresh. There was a lack of staff clearing up and the two girls working were run off their feet. They did well considering. The hotel looked a bit dated when we walked in, apart from the parking space debacle. The place is clean and serviceable. The lady i found at the start couldve been a bit friendlier on her first impression, but she turned out to be quite helpful. read more
