I stay at this hotel every year its clean and tidy,the food is soo good,the drinks are cheap and…read morethe owners are the best its like being at home on holiday i have never had a complaint about this place the rooms range from £20 to £22 a night i usually stay from monday to friday in may and it only costs me £68 that includes breakfast,they do a evening meal too for £10 a head which i think is very cheap,the only problem is is its not disabled friendly but its a old building so what can you do.the hotel is located at the south shore across and down the road from the casino and ten minutes walk to the pleasure beach but even though its close its still quiet i`ve had the best night sleep here they have shops,restaurants,nightlife and taxi or trams close by so you can get werever you need to be i cant say enough priase to Julie and Steve they make me feel so comfortalbe just like parents they even send me a xmas card every year and if i`m ever in the area i always go and visit them.Stay here if your ever in Blackpool you wont be disapointed,

The hotel its self is perfect sized,very clean and tidy,rooms are bright,breakfast is full english AND you get a choice of what you want served!! and location is perfect as its out the way of noisy night clubs,and perfect for the pleasure beach or sandcastle swimming pool. All the places i have stayed i felt that oban house was the best it was like being part of the family. As for the food well what can i say it was fab the Dinners Mmmm and puddings you just have to try them marie is a fab cook and i wanted to bring her home. Now as for heather she had me laughing most the time and i really enjoyed her company while having a drink or two. I will defo be staying with these to ladys when i visit blackpool again. The food is fine and what you would expect from a Band B. the rooms are a bit dated but very cosy and warm and the place feels welcoming. The hotel is useful for wedding guests of Mytton Fold farm and other local places at a fraction of the cost.

First of all i phoned the hotel to let them know that we wont be arriving until 7pm. this was fine, and also the parking space we had reserved was still available. When we go there, i was faced with a closed recepetion area, I eventually found a staff member in the bar. She had no knowledge of our booking, and i asked her to look it up on the computer. She found it. i asked about the parking space, which she again had no knowledge. We ended up putting the car in a private car park nearly a mile away, very annoying. We booked a delux room with a jacuzzi. the room was nice without being stunning,plenty of the usual biccys and tea and coffee and the jacuzzi was great. Breakfast in the morning was like a cattlemarket, there was a long queue for the dining room and the guests rushed in when the doors opened. we waited back until the chaos calmed down,and had a lovely breakfast. The breakfast is self service and there was a good choice. one small letdown, was the juice was the diluting stuff instead of fresh. There was a lack of staff clearing up and the two girls working were run off their feet. They did well considering. The hotel looked a bit dated when we walked in, apart from the parking space debacle. The place is clean and serviceable. The lady i found at the start couldve been a bit friendlier on her first impression, but she turned out to be quite helpful.

Having eaten their Sunday Lunch deal a couple of times, (Saves on washing up.) All the staff are friendly and the food is great with ample portions that leaves you struggling to leave room for dessert. It really stands out on the seafront. We popped into the bar for drinks. The inside was nice but wasn't quite as stylish as I'd expected. I liked the big windows and round bar. Apparently they used to do cocktails but have replaced them with grand gins. Grand gins are popular at the moment and they suit the name but it seems a shame to completely get rid of cocktails. There was a good variety of gin available in the Spanish style, in a large glass with lots of ice and suitable garnishes. Mine was lovely and cost around £8.

They did have a little fridge in the room with drinks, chocolate bars and nuts etc. but remember to read the price list before you are tempted to eat any as it was about £1.50 for a mars bar and £2,.50 for a pack of biscuits. They have some lovely function rooms, we have been to a wedding reception here and it was fantastic, although the drinks were a little expensive. The views from the hotel window looking out across the sea were lovely and the we had a peaceful nights sleep with no noise from other guests Would definately stay there again

Mode Hotel was well priced, had a sea view and included a continental breakfast. The car park is a little tight and I only have a tiny car. Things like this just add stress- they could do with re-painting the spaces at an angle, though perhaps they couldn't fit so many in then. A very friendly welcome at reception. She clearly explained eveyrthing, including the honesty bar (you write down everything you take). Our room was modern and simple. The bed was very comfortable- we slept well. The shower was good and there was a hospitality tray. Breakfast was serviceable though not the best ever. Fruit, yoghurt, cereal and fruit juices were all enjoyable. We went to the cafe on the pier for a full English one morning. Mode Hotel is a reasonably priced and comfortable hotel. We were happy and would stay again.
