It really stands out on the seafront. We popped into the bar for drinks. The inside was nice but wasn't quite as stylish as I'd expected. I liked the big windows and round bar. Apparently they used to do cocktails but have replaced them with grand gins. Grand gins are popular at the moment and they suit the name but it seems a shame to completely get rid of cocktails. There was a good variety of gin available in the Spanish style, in a large glass with lots of ice and suitable garnishes. Mine was lovely and cost around £8.

They did have a little fridge in the room with drinks, chocolate bars and nuts etc. but remember to read the price list before you are tempted to eat any as it was about £1.50 for a mars bar and £2,.50 for a pack of biscuits. They have some lovely function rooms, we have been to a wedding reception here and it was fantastic, although the drinks were a little expensive. The local neighborhood has abundant shopping and dining options within easy walking distance. All of our morning and evening meals were in the hotel dining room. The food and the service was very good. We enjoyed this hotel stay, the vibe of the local area and the beautiful beach sunset views.

My little boy loved the baby pool each day. Food was good, room cleaned nicely each day. We have booked to return again soon, hopefully on a Tuesday as this, according to the literature I read in our excellent sized room, is a very special day at the Dalmeny as this is when they have the weeky fire alarm test which I would love to experience, especially as the children's entertainment is only on a weekend during term time. I dream not only of hearing the dulcit tones of the fire alarm test...ringing out like the glorious Westminster Abbey bells, but of being there during a test evacation, assembling at the fire point (which is at the front car park), meeting the fire wardens, chatting for ages about hazards and risks...I love Health & Safety, it could be the reason I've only been married 4 times but that's another story. My wife, unfortunately, doesn't share my passion and enthusiasm for Health & Safety but she, like me, enjoys the hospitality and experience the Dalmeny offers, so we do have something in common. We are due back again for 5 nights 8-13th September, if it were possible to have a tour of the fire exits and and any C.O.S.H cages etc it would really make my day. St Ives is best located for a stay in the resort being closest to pier and town centre . Room we had was lovely it was a refurbed room . Had everything you could wish for and did feel quite plush ,Restaurant food was ample being a buffet style so is unlimited you can try several options including sirloin steak that tends to be on menu daily.Breakfasts are ample with all you would expect from a full english or cereals ,continental etc . Some parts of hotel are a little tired (carpets) but in the main all is good ,Lots of things to keep children entertained ie pool ,toys and games room ,Arcade etc.The public footfall areas including toilets are kept immaculate.

Mode Hotel was well priced, had a sea view and included a continental breakfast. The car park is a little tight and I only have a tiny car. Things like this just add stress- they could do with re-painting the spaces at an angle, though perhaps they couldn't fit so many in then. A very friendly welcome at reception. She clearly explained eveyrthing, including the honesty bar (you write down everything you take). Our room was modern and simple. The bed was very comfortable- we slept well. The shower was good and there was a hospitality tray. Breakfast was serviceable though not the best ever. Fruit, yoghurt, cereal and fruit juices were all enjoyable. We went to the cafe on the pier for a full English one morning. Mode Hotel is a reasonably priced and comfortable hotel. We were happy and would stay again.

A small travelodge located at St. Annes. This small hotel is good for only one thing, the price…read more There are two elevators. The guests need their room keys to access the floors. The room is small but adequately clean. It has a queen size bed (which was quite comfortable), a small TV, a small rack to hang clothes, no closet or drawer, a small table top, a chair, an electric kettle to boil water, no tissue box, 1 1/2 toilet tissue rolls, two bath towels, one towel for the floor as a mat, a dispenser with shampoo/conditioner/bath soap inside the shower, a dispenser of hand soap, no air conditioning, and no hair dryer. The shower area is small. There is no handle inside the shower for guests who need support while taking shower. There is only a small handle on the side of the wall when entering the shower. The bathroom has very poor ventilation! The housekeeping staff provides 4 packs of coffee, decaffeinated coffee, and 2 tea bags every day. They came and made the bed for the first three days and didn't bother for the fourth day! We were on the third floor and could see the roof tops of the houses near by. However, it was very noisy with the piegons making noises outside. This place is a very budget hotel in the town with walking distance to the center of the town and nearby beaches. It is about 10 to 15 minute drive to Blackpool which is a tourist town with an amusement park.
