The bed was very comfortable and we really appreciated the high ceilings, beautiful grounds, and enjoyed our walks around the estate. If you're working like we were, note that the internet is indeed fast enough for a developer who runs team meetings to lead all their meetings! I had a spa session with massage and facial and it was excellent! I swam every day and used the sauna facilities. The locker room and pool area was kept very clean and dry. The lady attendant was fastidious in keeping the changing room dry and clean. There was a bit of an incident where one of my favorite vintage pieces I sent off to laundry was not returned to us when they dropped off our clean clothes. I had actually been at the entrance to the hotel when the cleaner dropped it off and I verbally acknowledged to her that I could see my laundry because of my vintage piece and she stated they'd be delivered to my room shortly. Front staff sent back an empty hanger amongst our other clean clothes and had lost it. We found it on the floor amongst boxes behind the reception desk. They returned my item, and apologized personally. Not a big deal and glad it was resolved.

Lot of swearing, screaming, hitting and shouting in the room next to us. Police intervention, mr roach was arrested and poor kelly brought to hospital by ambulance. In other words, our first night was not very restful! Sure that the hotel can't do anything about this, however some pro active compensation would have been in order. The downside of this hotel is the aggressive pricing for wedding packages, meaning that there are many wedding parties going on. I counted six in two days, which brings a lot of drunkards to the hotel, which does not help if you're seeking a quite place to relax. Will I ever get back to this hotel, no.

WHAT A HECK OF A WOMAN! BIGGGGEEEESSSTTT heart in Preston, but the rest of the staff ain't that far behind). The hotel itself is shameful outdated and lacking anything comfortable. The tub is a safety hazard, sinks are old, carpets are dingy, sheets are see-through, pillows are questionable... everything hotel nightmares are made out of... yet its one of the better places in town! But it is close to the train station and to UClan, and the staff will do anything to make up for the embarisingly (is that even a word?) conditions of this worn and beat up hotel. Because the staff is quite frankly - too good for the hotel or any luxury hotel - they are downright working class divinity and should all be hugged and commended for their wonderful, wonderful humanity!

Thankfully there was a sign on the wrong side, so I at least knew I was on the wrong side of it! I would have found the reception on the first floor unusual, except I'd seen it at a Travelodge only three weeks ago - so now I thinks it's actually sensible. On arrival I checked in via an electronic kiosk - that is unusual, but it was very quick and there was still a staff member on hand should it not work. In fact, it's worth saying that every staff member I talked to here were exceptionally friendly. Room was fine - minimalist, but functionary. Free wifi was painful, but the paid wifi was only a fiver, so an easy choice. Still not a super fast connection, but better than I've had at some hotels. Bathroom was a decent size, and the shower had excellent pressure. If I have to stay overnight again in Preston, then I would want to stay here again. Everything was effortless.

It really stands out on the seafront. We popped into the bar for drinks. The inside was nice but wasn't quite as stylish as I'd expected. I liked the big windows and round bar. Apparently they used to do cocktails but have replaced them with grand gins. Grand gins are popular at the moment and they suit the name but it seems a shame to completely get rid of cocktails. There was a good variety of gin available in the Spanish style, in a large glass with lots of ice and suitable garnishes. Mine was lovely and cost around £8.

They did have a little fridge in the room with drinks, chocolate bars and nuts etc. but remember to read the price list before you are tempted to eat any as it was about £1.50 for a mars bar and £2,.50 for a pack of biscuits. They have some lovely function rooms, we have been to a wedding reception here and it was fantastic, although the drinks were a little expensive. The views from the hotel window looking out across the sea were lovely and the we had a peaceful nights sleep with no noise from other guests Would definately stay there again

First impressions were very good, clean, bright and very friendly staff. The rooms are very good and well kitted out, the restaurant / breakfast is excellent value but the bar is slightly pricey. The hotel was so good when staying near Blackpool earlier this month my family and I decided to stay with them again. Very impressed by the chain that runs it witch is Best western Hotels, very competitive prices and first class accommodation.

The price varies according to how near Christmas it is, we are goind at the end of November because people have other things to do in Dec so we got the cheapest rate of £40 per head (think its £60 in Dec) sounds a lot but when you consider what you do get it isnt really. On arrival theres unlimited bucks fizz and canapes, you're then shown to your tables were there are bottles of red or white wine ( rose if you ask) when your bottle is empty you hold it up and its replaced very quickly meal is pre ordered starter served by you're waiter/ess. main is carvery with meat / veggi / fish choice help yourself to loads of veg / salad choices. pudding is pre ordered and served at your table. Theres a disco, and Christmas themed quiz to follow. You will get a ticket that you exchange at the bar after the meal, thats for your first drink, after that you need to take you're glass with you or you dont get served. All the drinks are named brands and there is no limit on how many times you go back to the bar. At 11.30 they serve mini fish and chips in cones then free bar closes at 12. They are doing a cheap rate on rooms if you would rather stay over. If you add up how much a meal, drink etc costs when they dont come as a package like this you can see what a bargain it is.
