We first hired Eden Builders for a remodel about 11 years ago (reviewed on Yelp). Oren was our…read moreproject lead then, and we made sure he was our lead this time around too. This remodel was bigger than the first job. It wasn't easy because there were many funny little issues in addition to the significant problems needing to be fixed. From the start, they made sure to go over every single detail and explain what each choice would mean. We weren't the easiest clients this time around because we changed our minds so many times, but it was never a problem. They were kind and patient throughout, and always had good workarounds for every issue, just like with the project 11 years ago. The job just concluded last week, and the work is top notch. I cannot express how much I hate doing this kind of project, but Oren and Eden Builders made this as tolerable as can be. Hopefully, it's not going to be anytime soon, but the next project will be with Eden Builders too. Thanks Oren and team for another amazing job.

I wanted to take a moment to write about my experience with Concierge Home Remodeling and my…read morekitchen renovation and other additions. Initially, I quoted a few companies for my kitchen; however, given its size and of course inflation, it was going to be an expensive project. I found Concierge and decided to call them. The front desk was super friendly and knowledgeable, and it was easy to schedule a consultation for the following week. Project manager Matt came to my house was very professional and understood what I wanted to do with my kitchen. After everything was said, I decided to go with them because of the great pricing they offered me. From the beginning to the end of my project, Matt kept me updated on everything and was very transparent about the deadline and the budget. It was such a pleasure working with him. Also, I can't forget about the different teams that came in to demo and install everything. They were very professional and respectful of my home. Thank you guys! During the kitchen project, I decided to additionally have my downstairs bathroom redone, my laundry room flooring changed, and all new windows installed in my house. I thought all these additions would extend my project deadline, but it did not. This was all completed at the same time as my kitchen, and I couldn't be any happier. Now that I've made this review super long lol. I just wanted to say that I am incredibly amazed and happy with how my kitchen looks now; it doesn't even look like the same kitchen anymore. Even though I made other changes, I'm incredibly happy with those too, but more so with my kitchen, lol. Thank you for everything Concierge! If you're looking for great and affordable pricing for your next renovation project, look no further. Call Concierge and ask for Matthew Aharoni. You won't be disappointed.

Mid-Project Review - AGA Construction…read more We're officially about halfway through our kitchen and dining room renovation with AGA Construction, and we've been extremely happy with the experience and progress so far! This was a pretty extensive renovation that required taking the kitchen and dining area down to the bones. From the start, the AGA Construction team handled the demolition quickly and efficiently, and once everything was opened up, they immediately got to work on the important things you don't necessarily see in the finished product. In just about two weeks, they've tackled the major electrical and plumbing work, brought necessary items up to code, installed new recessed lighting, completed drywall, and have already started/completed the new flooring. It's pretty incredible looking back at the photos of the original kitchen, then seeing the walls and ceiling completely opened up, and now seeing an entirely new space beginning to take shape. A huge part of making the process go so smoothly has been our project manager, Micky. He has been great about guiding us through everything step by step, explaining what the team is working on, answering our questions, keeping us informed about what comes next, and helping us navigate all of the decisions that come with a renovation of this size. Having that communication has made a potentially stressful process feel much more manageable. We're only midway through the project, but it already feels like we've gotten through the hardest and least glamorous part--the demolition and all of the electrical, plumbing, code, drywall and infrastructure work behind the walls. Now we're getting to the exciting part where we can actually watch our new kitchen and dining room come together! So far, we've been very impressed with AGA Construction, Micky, and the entire crew for how quickly and efficiently they've kept everything moving while still keeping us informed throughout the process. These photos show just how much has changed already, from our original kitchen and dining room, through the demolition and behind-the-walls work, to where we are today. We can't wait to see the finished kitchen and dining room and will definitely be sharing an updated review once the entire project is complete!

Later, "Jacob" called me back later and expressed condescending concern that I had ONLY a $150K budget. I told him that's where the budget starts, not ends and asked him what the true cost was. He responded back that it's between $300 and $450 a square foot. So I told him, "Okay, if my calculations are correct, if I go with $350 a square foot so I'm not at the rock bottom, and I multiply that by 600 sq ft for a small ADU, that is roughly $210K for a price starting point with your company?" "Well no it's not exactly... "Then what did I miss?" "Well there's all sorts of other things blah blah blah..." Overall the tone was condescending and he made it clear that I didn't know what I was talking about, when in fact I have 15 years experience as a home designer that designs and budgets facelifts on houses that are about to go up for sale. I have dealt with contractors for many, many years. Eventually I got fed up with his tone and told him to cancel the appointment.
