I don't know what all the negativity is about for this store. They have a great selection and prices are reasonable. The older woman (owner?) and her daughter were very nice to us and we had a friendly conversation. They have some pro-Trump merchandise and I suspect some customers don't agree with that. I have never been treated in such a horrible way! The older woman at the store is extremely rude and unprofessional. I accidentally broke one of the magnets and the older woman that works the cash register yelled at me that I broke the item and I had to pay for it. Then she harrassed my friends after asking where we were from and stating that 'she would never lived there even if someone paid her for it.' Her behavior was extremely unpleasant and racist. If I could leave no stars, I would. I was absolutely shocked by our treatment at this establishment today. I never leave negative reviews, or any reviews for that matter. However, after today I felt compelled to say something. And now seeing all the similar experiences, I can't believe this store is still open. My daughter (14) and I were looking at bracelets. She wanted one color in particular but the bracelets were all tangled. I began fixing them so that we could get the one she wanted. Meanwhile, my adult friend walked into the store and the young lady at the front asked if she was looking for anything. To which our friend replied, "no, just going to meet part of group right there." And pointed at my daughter and I. Immediately, an older black haired lady with a heavy accent said "they're just looking. Probably stealing." (I didn't hear this, but my friend did.) As this was being said, our friend's husband tried to walk in with a drink and this same women screamed at him "NO DRINKS! Get out!" He said "okay no problem, I'll leave." In an attempt to calm her down. She then turned to my friend who was walking out of the store, and yelled at her to "GET THE FUCK OUT!" Then proceeded to turn at my daughter who was holding her bracelets, and went to get in her face telling her to also "Get the fuck out!" She's 14! She was standing next to me while I was trying to put the rest of the bracelets back. I had to literally jump in front of my daughter, because I had no clue what this lady was about to do. I told my daughter to put the brackets down, stopped what I was doing and said "let's go." As we were trying to exit, this women continued to cuss and scream at us that we weren't buying anything anyway and it was Bullshit. I did finally yell back that we WERE buying bracelets but not after that. Like the others have said, don't shop here. For an owner to attempt to get into the face of a 14 year old child who was simply wanting a bracelet is disgusting. I know most people aren't looking up the reviews of the shops as they walk along Duval street but if I can prevent one person from having a similar experience then it was worth it. I stopped here to look for a t-shirt for my grandson. I was looking for one that said Pug Life. She went and found one that she could make into a t-shirt but it wasn't the one I really wanted so I said well I'm going to go look for some different designs. She said "Don't come back here. I don't want you back here." It was shock and awe as a customer to be talk to like that. I asked her if that's how she talked to all her customers and she said "Don't come back here!". all because I wanted to look for a different design on a t-shirt. She only had the one design. This is not the way to win customers, especially after a long and hard pandemic under our belts as businesses. If I could give it zero stars I would. After looking around and picking up a few items, I asked the girl who works there about the sweater deal 2/25. They only had one sweater on display so I asked if there were others. She told me no but I could grab a shirt to complete the 2/25 deal. I went up to pay and the old lady did not want to honor the deal. She said no to the girl who was helping me and so I asked her to take the shirt off since there was no deal and I had no need for it. She slammed it on the counter and told me to leave the store. She said everything was a deal and if I didn't want it I didn't have to buy anything. ‼ATTENTION‼ I went into multiple stores like this one they are all the same on duval street and i'm not from here my boyfriend and i both went in the store a creepy man asked me if i wanted to try on a shirt and then gave me a deal. me and my boyfriend walked further into the store and the guy was texting on his phone staring at us. my boyfriend whispered "stay next to me" and i said i know and as soon as he said that the lights went out, my boyfriend grabbed me and i screamed to the top of my lungs we both tripped and fell. my boyfriend had his arms wrapped around me and someone (assuming the worker) grabbed my hair and yanked me back. me and my boyfriend lost our shoes from falling, i ran out into the road screaming trying to get attention. i called 911 and police came 10 WHOLE MINUTES AFTER i told them how someone tried to kidnap us and there were two police men who did not help me nor believe me. i had my mother on the phone and the police would not take my back to my hotel or even go get our stuff back, but most importantly THEY DIDNT GO SEE THE STORE AND TRY TO GET THE MAN. As soon as we stepped inside this store, a latin woman with an unwelcoming look in her face was telling very derogatory remarks every time we touched an item on the rack. That person seems to be prejudiced against French people, assuming that we are waisting her time and that we won't buy anything. My sister was trying a pair of sandals and was insulted. That was enough, So we decided to leave and she still ranted and raved about our nationality and told us to get lost. I don't think I ever had a shopping experience that bad in all my life. He actually blocked the door when I attempted to leave. I asked him to move, politely explaining that I was trying to not be close to people because of COVID. There was no other way out and nobody around, so I ended up ducking under his arm to get out of the store. He yelled at me "maybe if you were so worried, you shouldn't have gone on vacation!" Me and a friend walked in to check out this store. Right as we walked in we were greeted by a lady and she said: "hello, how are you?" I said: "I'm great. How are you today?" She said: "I'm good". We started looking around and seeing what they had. The same woman approached us and asked "are you looking for anything in particular?" We answered: no, not really but thank you" By that time we started looking around and found something of our interest and I saw another woman come out of nowhere and yell "EXCUSE ME" and she basically pushed us out of her way. It wasn't a big deal so we just moved on. We got up to the front counter and started seeing all the little lighters. Including some rather dirty ones which I thought were funny. I started to show my parter and then the same woman who pushed us out her her way got up behind the counter. And started yelling at me "this is not a playground so go head and put that back where you found it" so I asked her. "What if I planed on buying it?" her response: "but you're not going to, you're just looking around, everyone all day today just come in here and touch and touch an doesn't buy anything" I told her. "just because I'm just looking around doesn't mean I'm not going to buy anything" I guess she didn't like my back talk and asked me to leave. The woman appeared to be part of ownership. My friend and I went into Sunny Island to look for dresses for the beach(all the outfits were over priced). The two women who worked there were helpful at first. We tried on a few outfits, but ended up not liking any. However, we still were going to buy some souvenirs from them. As soon as we went to check out the owner told us to get out. This place is horrible and gives all of Key West a very bad reputation. The owner lady is not only rude and obnoxious but also very racist. My wife and I were visiting from New Jersey and entered this shop to buy some souvenir t-shirts for our little nephews. My wife wanted to see the pattern on the t-shirts. But the moment my wife touched them the owner lady came rushing and very rudely told my wife to not touch the t-shirt. She continued by grabbing the t-shirt out of my wife's hand and kept yelling at her. At this point I asked what had happened and the owner lady told me nothing and pointed to the exit door and said I should get out. At this point I told her she was being very rude to which she very aggressively replied that if I don't like it I should leave and "go back to India" (I'm of Indian descent and my wife is white American). I was more in shock than angry at this comment. The owner lady continued to say a few more derogatory things which were just unacceptable. We are from NJ so are pretty used to the daily rudeness/curtness that comes from being in the north east, but this was crossing way over the line. For a tourist town like Key West this kind of racist behavior is really unacceptable. We left the store with a few choice words for her feeling extremely saddened by what had just transpired on our vacation and a bad taste in our mouths for Key West. read more

IN SUMMARY AVOID THIS PLACE! My wife and I stopped in this shop on March 29, 2018 to inquire about the cost of a printed t-shirt we saw in the front window. A Hispanic woman at the counter (appeared to be an owner) told us the price. I replied "OK, thanks, let us think about it". She then followed us around the store as we browsed at other items and as we headed for the door she said "I feel sorry for you people". I said "why?" She replied "because you'll walk around all day looking for a better price!". I said "you are the first store we entered" (which it was) and she said "Yeah, right" - basically calling me a liar!. We walked out but then got really pissed and wanted to go back in and tell her she had the worst customer service attitude we have ever seen. But then we thought, we're in Key West for 5 minutes and we're not about to let that asshole spoil our relaxed attitude. By the way, there was no one else in her store and now we know why.
