But much to the dismay of my other brother, mother and grandmother, I came in but found that prices here are expensive - so expensive, you'd break my bank (and my bank tends not to be too breakable too often). I realize vitamins can get expensive, but it's not fair to keep all your products as two digit dollar values (to the left of the decimal). I saw prices as low as $10 (for even some of the miscellaneous needs of sports bottles) to the ridiculously high price of close to $40 for huge bottles of vitamin supplements you could get elsewhere for cheaper. Shop smarter and armed with information of what other places are selling your same supplements for - you'd be surprised. The employee tried to get us to sign up for their rewards card because he said that it would get us discounts. But hearing him out, if you listen closely, he said that not all products could be discounted, and that those that could be discounted, would be sent via the mail (and thereby - obviously - adding a shipping cost - thereby keeping the price just as much up there as the rest of the store sees.) Not cool. I was thoroughly impressed with your selection of homeopathic "vials' " information. After coming back from using your restrooms, I took a small gander around and looked for something to keep my interest for a short time, and fell into looking at your homeopathic display. What interesting things I had never expected to find here. The store was clean and definitely well-lit, but if it weren't have been for pricing, I probably wouldn't have went in. And come to think of it: this is the second time my brother got "burned" by this place after he had some trouble a couple months ago with pricing on these same items but which he had to try and second-guess himself this time. When I stopped by recently, I got one of their smoothies, which was super delicious. They also have nice fresh-pressed juice, pastries and hot meal menus. Bigger applause for catering to Vegans and Vegetarians as well. Mother Earth feels like a one-stop shop. The shelves are filled with everything from supplements and herbs to skincare and unique natural products I won't find in any store- not even Vitamin Shoppe. The environment is warm, earthy and inviting- and can tell they care about what they offer.

When she told me the total was $139 dollars, I looked at the scanned item screen and saw that the two Perfect bars I'd thought were on sale were over $4 and asked if there was a member discount for the "sale" items. She said yes, there was a membership but did not offer it to me. I then asked to take bars off of my total, as a line had formed behind me. Right before I left, I asked if the membership could be started today during the transaction. She shrugged and didn't say anything as she glared at me and stared at the line of shoppers. I again asked Why aren't you offering the membership to me in line? A customer behind me got very rude and began defending the cashier, who was immature and unprofessional from the start. I told the defensive lady in line that I am new to the area and had never shopped here before. I was blamed for that as well, when the entire time I received poor customer service, was not offered any kind of membership option, and finally the red haired cashier rang some kind of bell... presumably to have me dismissed from the store. For what? I have no idea. This is my first and last shopping experience at Mother Earth. I will tell everyone I meet to steer clear of this place. And, it's way overpriced.... one bag of groceries with no vitamins was $139. Never again. If I could give zero stars, I would.
