As a veteran of many rec and medical dispensary visits (in five states), I was truly in awe of this sparkly, new facility. The decor and the farm vibe are just so perfect to walk into. Ample parking area! Plenty of spaces You then walk into a beautiful, airy and well-designed building on both the inside and outside. Every kind of product for the cannabis enthusiast is found here! Edibles, beverages, cartridges, concentrates, prerolls, and one of the biggest selections of flowers! Prices and products to fit every budget. I am mostly a flower buyer, and the vast selection is really great for someone who really enjoys that particular way to use cannabis. However, there are MANY other tantalizing offerings in all the other departments. The service there is excellent. Everyone I encountered on the staff was super-friendly, and completely professional. I love this new dispensary for many reasons. If you stop in, I believe you will agree! A lot of thought was put into Farmer's Choice. If you want to purchase something in the cannabis field, this is the place to go when in New Paltz! Easy to get to, right off of Route 299 and not far from the village. Located right by an intersection also, so it's safe and easy to get in. Worth the trip, so get going!

My experience today was a bit confusing to me. This was my first time in this store and it was…read moreindeed very nicely laid out and visually attractive with an overall medium-ish selection of various Cannabis products (IMHO) ......but checking all the boxes in those selections. The one thing I noticed right away was that both Budtenders behind the counter seemed very serious in their expressions. I wasn't greeted with a "hello" of a "hi how ya doing" or even " Can I help You".......straight to business. Ok, that's cool. Then I tried to lighten the mood by making a joke... which, had I thought about it.....maybe wasn't such a good idea. My joke was met with a completely blank face...at which time I felt the need to declare that it was a joke. Aside from the interpersonal awkwardness, I found that the process of pre ordering and then dropping in to pick it up, went as smoothly as humanly possible. They were ready for me and processed me very quickly. Business wise it was a perfect experience, Human to human part was a bit off putting. Without that personal touch and connection that I've come to expect at dispensaries, it felt more like a supermarket transaction then a more personal Cannabis Dispensary purchase. To have a Dispensary right here in our small town of under 1000 people is nothing short of amazing. I wish this business all the prosperity possible in this venture......and unless I just walked in on something that just happened to make everyone super serious.........Lighten Up and make some new friends and some forever customers too. I will return to this business and suggest you do too.

I walked into LikWid with a smile under my mask. I was thinking about getting a big bowled bong…read morebecause I ran out of rolled joints and didn't feel like rolling em down near the river where I was heading. I browsed a display shelf of large bongs while waiting for the gentleman behind the counter to finish with a couple at the register. Beside the row of bongs was a T-Shirt that intrigued me. It featured in bold face letters: DEFEND NEW PALTZ and a picture of what I believed to be an automatic assault weapon under it. What message was I missing? The shirt made no sense to me. The counter man was ready for me. I pointed out the bong of my choosing. He carried it over to register. As I was reaching in to get my credit card, I casually asked him the meaning of the shirt. "I made that shirt" he announced with pride. I chuckled and said that I lucked out because he was the right guy to answer my question. What does the shirt mean? He mumbled something from under his mask that I couldn't make out. My ears have 72 years of hard rockin mileage on em, but I had a bad feeling about this guy and not wanting to patronize an establishment that sold merchandise promoting citizen militia or individual use of such weaponry. AND IN HIPPY DIPPY LOVE AND PEACE NEW PALTZ OF ALL PLACES. returned my credit card to my wallet and informed the gentleman that I had changed my mind and walked without further comment to the door. I do not recall the exact chain of events that unfolded over the next 20 -30 seconds. But I remember his summoning me back into the store and questioning me about why I chose not to do business in his establishment. In short order, things got heated. He threatened to "knock me unconscious" so we stepped outside where we exchanged parting expletives right there on Main Street. When I got back to the car, my wife who had been waiting patiently asked why I was so flustered. I told her what I just told you. Stopped at the next gas station and picked up $5 pipe, took it to Miniwaska and forgot as best I could about my LikWid experience. But mine is a troubled peace.
