Wonderfully helpful staff (especially Claire!), and great, locally produced items at competitive prices.

After waiting 15 minutes for someone to open because the only worker there stepped out, he opened…read morethe door and let several customers along with my cousin and I. I asked him a couple questions about the vape pens because I needed one that holds cartridges. Cashier, Nick recommended one but went on to assist two other customers before us even though we were there first. When it came time to pay he asked to see my ID. I am not buying nicotine but I do understand I need to show him ID for the ECigg purchase. I gladly give it to him. He hands it back and then ask to see my cousins ID. I QUESTIONED why he needs her ID when she is not making the purchase and all Nick could muster up was that it is NY state law that if someone walks in with you they too have to show ID. Which doesn't make any sense to me. Can anyone please explain because when I take my child to the store to buy Cigarettes for myself it would be silly to ask a child for ID. I explained that my cousin just arrived from the Dominican republic and does not have a valid ID on her person at the moment and Nick still refused to sell me the e ciggarette. My cousin is older than me by a year, making her 28 years old BTW. But once again she only accompanied me she was not making a purchase. Terrible service and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

They didn't have the exact items I went in for (which I had seen on their webpage), but an…read morealternative product that they did have in stock was in the same price range and will probably hold up to more abuse than a broken item I was replacing. The price was comparable or lower than what I saw online for this particular product. The person who helped me was patient and informative, and didn't rush me while I inspected the product, which I really appreciate. I'd shop here again.

I walked into LikWid with a smile under my mask. I was thinking about getting a big bowled bong…read morebecause I ran out of rolled joints and didn't feel like rolling em down near the river where I was heading. I browsed a display shelf of large bongs while waiting for the gentleman behind the counter to finish with a couple at the register. Beside the row of bongs was a T-Shirt that intrigued me. It featured in bold face letters: DEFEND NEW PALTZ and a picture of what I believed to be an automatic assault weapon under it. What message was I missing? The shirt made no sense to me. The counter man was ready for me. I pointed out the bong of my choosing. He carried it over to register. As I was reaching in to get my credit card, I casually asked him the meaning of the shirt. "I made that shirt" he announced with pride. I chuckled and said that I lucked out because he was the right guy to answer my question. What does the shirt mean? He mumbled something from under his mask that I couldn't make out. My ears have 72 years of hard rockin mileage on em, but I had a bad feeling about this guy and not wanting to patronize an establishment that sold merchandise promoting citizen militia or individual use of such weaponry. AND IN HIPPY DIPPY LOVE AND PEACE NEW PALTZ OF ALL PLACES. returned my credit card to my wallet and informed the gentleman that I had changed my mind and walked without further comment to the door. I do not recall the exact chain of events that unfolded over the next 20 -30 seconds. But I remember his summoning me back into the store and questioning me about why I chose not to do business in his establishment. In short order, things got heated. He threatened to "knock me unconscious" so we stepped outside where we exchanged parting expletives right there on Main Street. When I got back to the car, my wife who had been waiting patiently asked why I was so flustered. I told her what I just told you. Stopped at the next gas station and picked up $5 pipe, took it to Miniwaska and forgot as best I could about my LikWid experience. But mine is a troubled peace.

Love this place: it's funky, fun and colorful. Great head merchandise on the left, then apparel…read moreand board stuff on right. It's a small space crammed with goodies, including items made by local artists. The owner and staff are super sweet and knowledgeable, which is why I'm a regular. They always make time for you.
