I was told they get that from the other store the next day. I left my name and phone number. Never heard back. They were unhelpful. They gave me the feeling that they really didnt want my business. Reminded me of that sales lady in Pretty Woman that asked Julia Robert's to leave her store. Won't be back.

If the review was based on the work alone, I would give 5 stars. She is a professional and she…read moreknows what she's doing. My dress came out very nice. The reason I'm leaving three stars is a couple things. 1. Friendliness really wasn't there. I'm a bride and I'm spending lots of money to have my gown altered. I did not receive a single compliment from the woman working on my dress. Never once asked me about my wedding or if I was getting excited. Proceeded to compliment other customers in front of me but not the bride. I was waiting cuz I thought well maybe on the last fitting she will....she did not. Finally on my second to last fitting a really kind red headed woman complimented my dress. Finally I felt like a bride. She deserves a raise..... I'm not sure if Zina treats all brides this way or just me.....even if you didn't like the dress you can still make small talk about other things. Especially when it comes to the biggest day of someone's life....... It is very intimidating to stand in front of a bunch of strangers in your wedding gown. It's even more intimidating when they don't say ONE SINGLE WORD about it. I was never offered water or anything. Other customers were. Again, I'm spending over 500 dollars so why am I not being treated like a BRIDE.... 2. When it came to payments, I made a few of them separate. She almost overcharged me by over 100 dollars!!! Thankfully my husbands card declined. Then I had her double check and she absolutely over charged me. She made a mistake. I get it , stuff happens. Maybe if I was treated a little kinder, I wouldn't have minded. But this is still sketchy and leaves me wondering if she overcharged me for other things. 180 dollars just to take in the top of my dress a bit. Seems crazy to me ..... Overall, they know what they are doing and they will get your dress right! However, if you are looking for a friendly bridal experience maybe not ...... it's just odd to me that someone who is recommended by a bridal shop (belle amour) would be so stand offish about someone's wedding.

It did need to gave the sleeves shortened. The salesperson said it would take 10 days. On Dec. 20, I went back to the store to see where the jacket was. The sales person said she would check on it. I gave her my phone number. The next day, not having heard anything, I went back and they said it would be 'the weekend". Here it is 9 pm Saturday Dec 23 and I haven't heard anything. I doubt that the jacket will be ready tomorrow. I am disappointed. I am even more disappointed that they haven't had the courtesy to call me. Tomorrow I will go back to the store and I will take a picture of a similar jacket and print it and wrap it up for my husband to open on Christmas Day. I could have done that days ago, if only they had been honest with me. Don't count on alterations being done in a timely manner. And also, they don't even bother to apologize. They just make excuses.

Dress for a Day offers a wide variety of gowns for sale as well as rental gowns for those looking to watch their budget. I can't believe how many different style dresses they had packed into this little space. It is definitely a welcome shop to our town. I was greeted at the door by Martin and Rachelle, the owners of the shop. They welcomed me and my sister, took our coats, and made us comfortable as they inquired a few more details as to what I was looking for. On the previous day I spoke with Rachelle via phone to schedule the appointment and give some thoughts I had on dress style. She and Martin took that information and pulled a few dresses prior to my arrival. I was given a comfy seat in the pretty little dressing room and a silky robe to wear while Rachelle brought the dresses in one by one. My sister and Martin shopped the store for other options while I got started trying things on. Rachelle was very kind and adjusted the dresses, provided kind opinions and insight, and did not push me in any direction. Martin offered his styling input and quickly brought belts and sashes to add to the gowns. While I haven't decided on a dress just yet, I was not made to feel like I had wasted Rachelle and Martin's time. They even hugged me as I left! I had lovely shopping experience and would highly recommend any bride try the local shop first.
