I have been seeing Dr. Blair for 12 years or so for my Keratoconus. He started me on scleral lenses…read morefrom day 1 as I was wearing standard hard contacts before that. Things were pretty good for years but something changed and they now only care about getting more money out of you. Dr Blair has never been very good at listening and comes off as condescending at times. They tried to get me to pay a few hundred dollars more for some different brand contact lenses even though my insurance pays 100% for my medically necessary contacts. I said NO and they weren't happy about that but they said fine. I did continue going back for a few years and every year the doctor kept trying to tell me that they were going to be discontinuing the contacts I have been getting and I will have to get the more expensive ones. I am in a Facebook group for scleral lenses and there are several eye DR.'s in the group that said they absolutely are NOT discontinuing them. I just don't trust a doctor that lies to me. I found a new eye doctor and have better vision than I ever had with Dr. Blair. My new eye doctor has had several patients that switch from Dr. Blair and she said they have all had experiences similar to mine with Dr. Blair and his office. If you are looking for a new eye doctor, keep looking. There are better alternatives out there. My new eye doc is Dr. Kristin Gunn at Opticare in Fort Mitchel KY and she is fantastic.

Upon check in, the I asked about what glasses to check with the special they had. Every frame I picked up I couldn't even see myself in the mirror they were so dirty. Then I was approached asking if I was the person they were calling next which I was not. Then I approached the desk to verify I was looking at the right glasses for the special the woman asked me again if I was the person they were calling I again told her no. She then said it was me but the first name was nowhere close to mine. Next we went back into the initial exam room and she was checking me in and my information was linked to someone who lived out of state. When I expressed my concern she got up and got someone else to come in. this next person came in and was very condescending and reaching across the girls back to use her mouse. I think started hippa and fraud then she got in my opinion got defensive and said no we don't share information. With that being said I asked how my information that I put in the computer myself was linked to this other person? She said it was the company who inputs the information in for them. I told her it was fraudulent and against hippa she told me it was not. The next person came in thinking maybe this was the eye doctor and she told the original girl helping me and told her just to do a paper chart. I was not comfortable with this solution since the information associated with my last name and date of birth were not mine. I ended up leaving and express how the second girl was speaking to me and the original worker very condescending. this place is a total joke. I will be telling everyone I know not to shop at this place.
