Our first experience with SunDaze was fully satisfying. We arrived right around sunset and found parking to be easy and convenient. Once inside, the bright and cheerful atmosphere added to our anticipation as we looked over the expansive menu of delectable items. This place is awesome!!! If you come here in the evening on a weekend, be prepared for a line but it is so worth it. The only downfall would be the amount of options, the amount of times I switched what I was getting was absurd. I ended up with the vanilla sundae with hot caramel, marshmallow sauce, and crushed pretzels. The sizes are insane! Never been disappointed here. It's sorta 1950ish? Service is quick and accurate. Small servings seem like larger ones elsewhere. Wide variety of ice cream and other items. I was just in there with my daughter. The man at the counter did not even greet us . I asked him what was in a particular ice cream and he shrugged his shoulders and said " I don't know " so I then politely asked if he could do a half a scoop of 2 separate ice creams and I'll pay the full price , he then looked at me annoyed and said " uh I can do 2 scoops " I said ok then thanks . Whenever my family and I go to New Jersey, we always look forward to repeated visits to SunDaze. I highly recommend the chocolate peanut butter water ice, but pretty much everything is top-of-the-line. A very fun and delicious place. I highly recommend making a trip here whenever possible. I've been going to the shore for my entire life. We used to go to Mentos, then Custard's Last Stand, then The Ice Cream Place... we've been to them all. SunDaze is the BEST. I usually only get waterice (which is AMAZING here) but the Ice Cream is so good here that I can never decide, and I'm not a huge Ice Cream person! They have tons of flavors of both, and every one I've tried so far has been better than the last. I love it here! read more
