I saw on social media that the bar was celebrating its 5th anniversary this weekend. Considering that nearly 45-50% of new businesses fail before reaching five years, the fact that they're still open told me they must be doing something right. After spending a few hours there on Friday night, I finally understood why they beat the odds. The moment I walked in, I appreciated the attention to detail in the decor. The holiday decorations were elegant and intentional--clearly placed with care, not just because the calendar demanded it. I expected great chocolate, but I didn't expect to see an actual winnower, the machine used to extract nibs from cocoa beans. That's when it clicked: this place wasn't just a bar with a theme. It was the real deal. Their tagline, "From Bean to Bar," suddenly made perfect sense. They produce chocolate on-site, through a full-scale production process that you can witness firsthand. The staff doesn't just serve--you'll find yourself learning from them about how and why that process matters and why it sets their product apart. When I spotted the winnower, my imagination immediately went into overdrive. I half-expected to see Willie Wonka or Milton Hershey sitting at a table inside. I was lucky enough to meet Nicole Callazzo, the proprietor and passionate Master Chocolatier. Lexie, the mixologist, made sure I was introduced to her the moment I began asking about the chocolates. Nicole carries a contagious love for her craft, and listening to her describe the art behind the chocolate was a joy in itself. They handed me both a cocktail menu and a chocolate menu. I glanced at them briefly, set them down, and simply said, "Tell me what I should order to sample what you do best." Without hesitation, Nicole suggested the "Little Bit of Everything." While my tasting board was being prepared, I ordered a hot chocolate. Lexie's face lit up at the suggestion, which only added to my excitement. It was served in a fine china cup and saucer--a presentation so elegant that it instantly became more than a sweet drink. It was an experience. Through the window, I watched a staff member in a spotless white uniform carefully pour selected single-source, direct-trade cacao beans into the winnower at 7:00 PM on a Friday night. Not just any beans--premium, singular-origin cacao, sourced with intention and care. The music, the atmosphere, even the art on the walls--it all felt warm, refined, and thoughtfully balanced between fun and sophistication. Soon, my board arrived--an artisan chocolate tasting platter, arranged like a work of edible art. I asked for permission to film the presentation, and you'll understand why when you see the clip. Nicole described each chocolate selection with passion, pride, love, and artistry. It wasn't rushed. It wasn't rehearsed. It was heartfelt. The serving size was generous--large enough for three people to enjoy fully without skimping on flavor. There was no chance I could finish that much chocolate in one sitting, but that wasn't the point. The point was to taste, learn, savor, and share. And share it I will--because this is a place built for: * a special someone, * a group of friends, * co-workers, or even * seasoned connoisseurs who appreciate high-energy thrills but seek a pause in elegance. Just steps from the world-famous Atlantic City Boardwalk, where casino lights pulse across the skyline and the ocean air hums with possibility, Bar 32 offers a rare kind of refuge. It's not an escape from the energy--it's a complement to it. A moment to reset, enjoy, connect, and indulge in something crafted with soul. Hard to believe but this entire experience was only $26.18 plus gratuity.

My sister ordered the cookie jar milkshake (cookies & cream ice cream blended with Oreo crumbles, caramel, and chocolate in a swirled mug topped with whipped cream, chocolate chips, and Oreos) and WOW, it did not disappoint. It was creamy, perfectly blended, and not overly sweet. I kept it simple with "The Classic" (vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate scoops with whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate sauce, and a gummy cherry), and I had zero complaints, it hit the spot. But after viewing everyone else's desserts, it's clear this is the kind of place where you go big or go home. Everything we tried was beautifully presented, full of flavor, and the portions were HUGE, we definitely had to take some to go. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We sat at the bar with 90's R&B playing, what a vibe. The decor is super fun too, bright, vibrant, and just a whole experience. I've been to Sugar Factory before for their food and those famous over the top goblet drinks, but this was my first time really diving into the desserts and they did NOT disappoint. Definitely will experiment more next time after seeing my man's s'mores and her man's strawberry cheesecake shakes. If you're in Atlantic City and craving something sweet late at night, this spot is 100% worth it.

This might be my new favorite restaurant in Atlantic City!…read more Me and my husband made a last minute trip to AC for my birthday and I couldn't get a reservation in time for my favorite restaurant. I found this place and tried to make a reservation. It did take awhile to get through, I think they answered when I called like 10 or 11:00 on a Monday morning. I was happy I got a decent time though, I asked for 7:30 and they gave me 8:00. Once we got to AC I found out they had fireworks at 9:00. So I was like I don't know what to do. Cause I love fireworks I always try to see them when I can . But I didn't want to give up my reservation either , I was looking forward to it. So I tried calling every 5 minutes trying to get through to see if i could get an earlier reservation, even if we have to eat at like 4:30. I couldn't ready anyone though. So we were plotting what we were going to do, maybe tell them we wanted to eat fast, get our food to go? I was going to run out the back and try to catch them. I said let's just go to the restaurant earlier and try to get a table. We explained when we got there and they were packed , but they were very accommodating and gave us a table right by the window. I was happy that now we could relax and enjoy our meal and get drinks and an appetizer. We got the meatball appetizer because my husband always likes to get that. It was very good , prob one of the best meatballs I have ever had. I got the seafood pasta which was delicious. great flavor , the seafood was cooked perfectly, and a generous amount too. I was stuffed but ate everything. my husband got the veal rollatini which he really enjoyed also. The cocktails were great as well. We got dessert Togo because we were stuffed but really wanted it. The chocolate chip cheesecake was delicious. I think we got the tiramisu too which was ok but a little watery. I don't know if we'll be back in AC anytime soon, but if we do I would definitely want to come back!

Caesars Atlantic City felt deserted, and Tazza Cafe was the last light left burning. It sits in the lobby like an airport quick service stand that learned a few big words and decided it was sophisticated. The desserts and sandwiches on display looked wonderful, the kind of food you might photograph before reality sets in. The glass case promised a feast for the eyes and a famine for the soul. I ordered a meatball sandwich on toasted ciabatta, a small bag of chips, and a soda. The total was just shy of thirty dollars, which made me nostalgic for a time when that kind of money could buy you hope. The meatballs were dense and flavorless, like someone had wrung all the joy out of them. The sauce was red and nothing more. The bread was there, technically, but it felt like a prop. Each bite filled me up while emptying something else inside me. The two employees behind the counter seemed deeply committed to doing as little as possible. Taking my order was an inconvenience. Serving it was a punishment. They moved with the urgency of people who had already decided that nothing really matters, and perhaps they were right. Tazza Cafe might be fine for a coffee or a pastry. The coffee smelled decent, even at 6 PM. The cakes and pastries looked lovely and harmless. But for anything more substantial, for anything meant to feel like dinner, it is a place best remembered as the only option when there are no options left.
