The best advice for Frankies Pub is to come hungry. The burgers are HUGE! If you don't want to…read moreshare, you'll certainly have left overs. I enjoyed hearing other tables giggle when their food was brought out. Everyone finding joy in how large the serving size is. Service was fantastic, and our food came out quickly. I ordered mini corndogs and they totally hit the spot. I had family members even stealing some because you don't always see mini corndogs on the menu. There are about 3 parking spots in the front of the building, street parking, or potentially another parking lot behind/beneath the building (I didn't investigate this). The front of the restaurant isn't overly large, so we didn't have a hard time finding front row parking. When visiting again I'd make it a point to visit Frankies Pub again.

Like I said before, the sandwiches arrived the size of an adult's head. Jar dropping is a fitting description of what we looked like when our server placed the sandwiches before us. The homemade bread was soft and delicious. The chicken club easily had half a pound of cooked bacon on it. Before we ever took our first bites, we knew we would need to go boxes. Wait, did I mention we had the most wonderful cheese curbs as an appetizer? Worth ordering but only if you split a sandwich!! There are a handful of booths in the front area along with seating along the bar. TVs in the main room. There is also a back room that would hold maybe another 40 people. This tavern has been in place for years under different names. I would love to hear the history. I could see a set up that would have been particularly useful for gambling & drinking during prohibition. The staff was very efficient and helpful. One person out front & one in back. Never had to wait.

Unpretentious, relaxed bar with surprisingly good food…read more Large variety of menu choices, but when in Wisconsin on a Friday, one must partake of the Fish Fry. Delicious Cod. piping hot. Fries were crisp, coleslaw tasty and the marbled rye bread came buttered! Solid selection of local (Wisconsin) beers, including one of my favorite breweries, 3 Sheeps. Started my meal off with a Blackberry Old Fashioned that was well executed. The gal who took care of us, Crystal, was a delight. Prices are quite reasonable. Two pool tables to boot.

FISH Sadly, they were already out if bluegill, which was my planned order- i panic ordered perch. I should have gotten cod. Fish have bones & you're bound to find a few - but I'm pretty sure one of the filets had more bones than meat. The breading was spotty with large areas not breaded & half the fish was, well, fishy. I (along with 3/4 of the table) appreciated the option to get German Potato Salad or Potato Pancakes instead of the standard fries. The buttered marble rye was also a hit with most. I stopped eating the perch on piece 2 of 4. I went to the potato pancakes, which were pretty good, as was the German Potato Salad. The coleslaw was ok. While I'm not mad at $80 after tip. Service was alright. Water was filled once empty. Bill was brought out promptly. No mention of dessert & I spaced it out. Since we're now 2hrs away... oops

Despite that our party of six was seated quickly and we were offered dining room, patio or covered patio tables. We chose the dining room which is cute, dark and unfortunately a bit loud. Our service was good and our server was friendly, but it was difficult to hear her and her us.A couple of us had Manhattans, which were very good, but the glasses were different sizes, which made me think maybe mine was not the same volume. My dad ordered the beef Marsala pasta, which was a generous serving and he seemed to enjoy it. The rest of us ordered different pizzas - everyone liked their choice but there were a couple standouts. The walnut was a revelation, walnut puree, fontina cheese, whipped cream cheese, mushrooms, and roasted walnuts. It was unique and tasty. My truffle pizza was also excellent, with authentic flavor and not the overwhelming fake truffle notes you sometimes get. The sausage pizza was also good, according to my BF.
