Warning: Ongoing Issues and Registration Violation I purchased a fifth wheel from Sundance RV (Shelton, WA) in May 2025 and have had a series of frustrating issues since. Prior to the sale, I paid for a certified third-party inspection, and the dealership agreed in writing to complete multiple repairs--including a $1,000 roof reseal, fixing a broken drawer, light strip replacement, central vacuum, and patio door adjustment. Unfortunately, many of these items were never properly completed. The roof reseal wasn't done until I returned and stayed on-site for 5 days. The light strip wasn't initially replaced, and when they finally did, it wasn't secured and has since fallen off. The patio doors, which they "fixed," are now falling off the track, and the drawer broke again after one use. The central vacuum and motion light were never addressed. The most dangerous issue: the rear patio awning detached entirely, nearly hitting my dog. A certified RV tech later confirmed it had been installed on the wrong track. To make matters worse, I discovered that Sundance never filed my RV registration or title transfer, despite telling me they had. I've been unknowingly driving cross-country with expired tags. I confirmed this with the WA Department of Licensing, who said no paperwork was submitted. When I followed up, Sundance denied further responsibility and stated they would not cover any additional repairs. I've since filed complaints with the WA DOL, Attorney General, and BBB. After paying over $70K, I would expect more. read more

You say you will deliver on a certain date so the owner empties all their belongings from their existing RV and then you tell them you cant deliver the new one for over three weeks. We put our 40 ft RBD trailer on consignment with Sundance RV Center in Shelton, WA. Before our 90-day contract was up, our house caught fire and we suddenly needed the trailer back. They showed true compassion during a very difficult time and worked quickly to bring our trailer back to us--even before the contract was up. Communication was great the whole time. Bought and RV from a distance. Was given misinformation many times. When they delivered the RV it was a mess. Owner just argued. Commitments and agreements not met. Sales guy told me all kinds of things. Then owner says he didn't. Bought a rig laden with issues when was given a clean bill of health. I know the owner will come back blaming me. Thats all he did when I confronted him with all the lies and incongruencies. I should sue but agreement made was on the phone. No proof. read more

My biggest regret is buying our rotted out half assed 5th wheel here. What they claim in their ad, about going through the r v systems is just a ploy to get you to buy the rv. Then they say it takes 6 to 8 weeks to to go through all of let's systems and they don't touch any of it. And if they do anything to it it is really crappy work. We have two slides that have 70% rot in them, we have had numerous water leaks that they said they fixed and did not. They said they fixed our black tank.And now we have shit puoring out the top of it. This rv we bought at sundance, has been a total nightmare. And guess what?They told us to go screw ourselves because we had mentioned getting an attorney and they said they will not speak to us any longer and they said they will not fix the slides or anything on even though they say you will get a perfectly working sturdy rv. The 6 to 8 week wait is just a ploy to get you to call them and bother them so they can just say to you well we will deliver it but we won't fix anything because you are bothering us. Then they will deliver it and tell you that they paid the consigee and you are left in the dark with a plethora of major major issues our rv is pretty much totaled we paid 27 thousand dollars for it and we have to live with this mess. People like this need to be put out of business for praying on hardworking people, and selling them rotted out crappy rvs. read more

My weight distribution hitch need tightening. I had purchased several items from them over time so Went there and asked if a tech could tighten the bolt (22mm I don't carry onboard, until now). They said all their techs were busy (I could see them in the shop chatting and laughing) and there was no way they could get me in. I asked if she could ask one of the techs if he has 2 minutes. She did, they did, 1.5 minutes later, one battery power impact and an oversized crescent later, all done. That will be $67.54 please. $67.54 for 90 seconds of work. $67.54 for begging them to ask a tech. $67.54 worth of never again. read more

I requested help on Facebook because my propane was not igniting thus not having any hot water. Yuck. Keenan contacted me, showed up to diagnose the problem, came back out the next day and fixed it. This was our first experience with Sundance RV and highly recommend them. Everyone in the office was so kind and friendly. They sold our 5th wheel, and the transaction was so quick and easy. I generally don't leave reviews about places in this area, but I also generally don't like Shelton. But after my interaction with the manager over the weekend, my mind was blown with the customer service and the general help I got. My jack on the front of my camper decided to fail and so I couldn't get the camper off my vehicle. I showed up, thinking the parts dept would be open (knew the service dept was closed), but it was not. Keenan (I think that's who it was), happened to be there and I explained my situation and he went above and beyond to help me out even being closed. Unfortunately the part they had didn't fit my camper, but, anything I need from now on, even living in Tacoma, I'm going to be calling this place first for parts or service if I need it. I've been making sure I tell more people about this place and the service I got. Been a very long time I've met someone that knew how to actually interact with people. Turned out my sister even knows Keenan, so I'll definitely be using them even more with how good of a person she said he is. We took our 23' motorhome to Sundance RV to have some mechanical work done, and a new floor installed, that we provided. We were told it would be 2-3 weeks, which turned into over 2 months. There was a lack of communication during this process. We were charged $125.00 per hour for 34.5 hours of labor on the floor. So it took almost a full work week to install about 65 sq ft of floor! They also broke a drawer and said nothing about that. The job done was very sloppy. At $125.00 hr, you would expect them to know what they are doing, and in a reasonable amount of time. I emailed the owner to express our dissatisfaction, and he said he would look into it and get back to me. It's been a week, and nothing. Not a happy camper! read more

I recently received a phone call from Chad the owner of Sundance RV center in Shelton. He called about previous negative reviews, since deleted, that I had posted in reference to his business. It was during this conversation that I began to realize that a disconnect of monumental proportion had occurred between Sundance and myself. When I received my coach back from Sundance there were a number of things that simply did not work however I received a call from Sundance's service manager asking if I was satisfied with the work done on my coach to which I replied I was highly dissatisfied and why. Sundance dispatched a service team to my home, they confirmed a major problem and fixed it at no additional cost to me. The service manager shared that the reason for the follow-up was that they had discovered one of their employees, since fired, had been both deceptive on his application and discovered to be grossly under-qualified to perform work on RV's. Simply put, Sundance was as much a victim as I of this person. You can imagine my angst when prepping my coach for a Memorial Day trip I discovered additional errors of omission by this particular tech, not the least of which was that my slide out would not extend out more then 18 inches before it jammed. I was extremely angry at this point, called Sundance and asked to speak to Chad. He was unavailable so I left a message with his secretary, a message he says he never received, I believe him as these things often happen in a volume business. Additionally I was asked by Sundance to bring the RV back to them so they could check my problems and I refused because the coach had been prepared for the Memorial Day outing and I did not care to remove food, clothing, cancel my outing, etc. in case Sundance needed to retain the coach. Suffice it to say that Chad, not receiving my message, he never called back, until recently, and I mistook this lack of correspondence from him as an attitude of non-caring to speak to a dissatisfied customer. Allowing for some self criticism here, I was wrong. As previously stated Sundance was victimized as mush as I by this deceptive employee and I failed to consider this in my anger. So, at this time I would like to ask that management and maintenance accept my heartfelt apologies for my negativity and thank Chad for offering to do a meet, greet, and move forward to a resolution to this incident. It is now apparent to me that Sundance is indeed concerned with providing quality service to their customers and I look forward to having the company work on my coach. read more

I purchased a conversion van from these people, and it was the worst customer experience I have ever had. I never felt like I was #1 for even a moment, rather I felt as though I was being treated like number 2. Now about the van, I was informed by one of Washington's Patrol that I had no brake lights or blinkers. Sundance did fix this, but I was frightened that the "mechanic" didn't have one of those "star screwdriver thingies". As it turns out the vehicle also had a big hole in the radiator. I had radiator repaired at Kohouts in Lacey because Sundance did not display the skills and again, addressing my issues was not a priority. Then another thing, the licensing...when are they going to send me my plates and have they even purchased them yet? Then there is the OVERT racism in the store. I guess displaying the Confederate Flag is ok. Finally, I am so sorry I gave you money to get my license plates. I have now had the van for three weeks and I have not been sent the plates. Amazing honest owners! Thankful to have such a great service center for our RV so close to home.

This is one of the reasons that Shelton continues to be a depressed area. The businesses don't know how to treat customers. The woman behind the counter was rude to me and tried to get rid of me by continually saying "ok?", like "are you done so I can get back to what I was doing (nothing)?". I had a simple question about RV repairs and operation. Because of the way I was treated, I drove all the way to Olympia where I was treated wonderfully by a staff that were willing to take the time to ensure I had my questions answered. I bought my chemicals and parts from that business and not at Sundance RV repairs. And I will continue to drive all the way to Olympia to the other RV repair place to buy my parts, and to have work done on my RV. I might even buy an RV at that location some day. Sundance RV caters to a group of RV'ers that stay on the property full time, right on the freeway. They live crowded together in a small trip of dry grass with their children and portable playground equipment. Which isn't bad, they have to live somewhere, but it seems that this business caters to these people and not those walking in looking for parts and repairs which I thought was what the business was all about. Apparently not. The first entrance to the property also says, Residents Only, customers of the RV repair shop have to enter down the road through another driveway, which really doesn't make sense, If you truly are an RV repair shop, your entrance should be for your customers. If you are in fact an RV park, you should advertise your business as such with signage. I'm glad this sorry business in on the outskirts of town, but I'm sure it would be a nightmare spending even one night at such a place. read more
