Without a doubt our favorite restaurant in Montauk. Always great service and food…read more Amazing place to eat with incredible sunsets!. Our fav's the calamari sushi roll, cauliflower side and the traditional lobster roll! In the summer the wait may be long but if plan it correctly, you can enjoy the musical entertainment first and then dinner! A two for 1 deal!

We have been here a number of times and usually enjoy our meal and experience. They have Good sushi selections and usually have nice fresh seafood selections. We had Tile fish prepared with escarole, white beans, and crispy leaks. Quite good! We also had wild Alaskan salmon that was somewhat disappointing. Id skip that! Was kind of dry and a bit fishy. Not terrible, but not really exceptionally enjoyable either. Service was good! They definitely work hard! They were washing down the table next to us as we sat down which is fine. Unfortunately, they were using some kind of solution that smelled like dirty or rotten damp rags. Unfortunately the smell took a while to dissipate and impacted our party's experience. It also probably reduced our ordering of pre-meal apps and drinks, not intentionally, but because it wasnt appetizing. We will probably return, because our experience might have been off a bit because they are not in full season yet.

What we got were GREAT meals, and cold wine with a beautiful setting. -Ahi Tuna: 5/5, seasoned and seared perfectly. If I'm being totally honest this may have been the best I've ever had anywhere. -Fish Tacos: 4/5, great flavor but lacking fish. Seemed to be overstuffed with filler but still delicious. -Calamari: 5/5, all rings which is always a plus for us. Seasoned great. Overall we were very surprised with the quality of the food and left very satisfied. Considering the view, location, and quality I'd consider this a great value for what you're paying. Definitely coming back

Topside is our first stop on vacation to Montauk. Yesterday afternoon was perfect !! Matt, the…read morehost, is so personable and really on his game. It was a beautiful day, we started with Prosecco and margarita and enjoyed the boats going in and out of the inlet. Starters were raw clams (so tiny- yum) and shrimp cocktail - big and fresh. Everything is artfully plated. As my favorite watermelon feta salad wasn't on the menu - actually a blessing - I tried the Lobster caprese salad and it was a miracle. I took a picture. My husband's fish and chips was hot, crunchy, and not greasy at all. Plenty of fries. A couple cocktails, beautiful scenery and a fantastic meal is the way that we jump start our Montauk trip. Highly recommend it. Note- there's a lot of talk about Gosmans just being sold blah, blah, blah. No worries the Topside hasn't changed a bit. No kids allowed- probably too dangerous. Not the worst idea for my serenity fix either. Cheers ! To the folks complaining about the price- you're in the wrong town. Topside is a treat for us, worth every penny !!

We ordered a ton of food (two-three of a few dishes) which was all very satisfying, but the Branzino stood apart. The striped bass carpaccio was flavorful, but it would have complemented better if it were chopped thinner. The lobster was tender and soft. French fries were nice and crispy thin. I loved the tomatoes (tomates olivettes confites). Cauliflower could have done without as both servings weren't to temperature -- more on the warm side. However, I would recommend just about everything we ordered (see proper French dish names below). Drinks were all good; we just ordered classic drinks/wine/cocktails. Let's talk dessert! We tried everything except the fruit. My absolute favorite was the crepes dentelles! Second favorite, the chocolate ice cream. Beignets were ok, a little too dense inside instead of airy/puffy. And the brioche cake (or tropezienne a la vanille) was sweet - a couple of bites are plenty.
