I had the salad niçoise, which was ok...perhaps too heavy on the dressing. The salad included a mix of greens, tuna, olives, egg, kapers, potato, green beans. The potatoes already had their own dressing and seasoning, so it ended up being a bit too much once more dressing was added to the salad. The olives and kapers also added quite a bit of saltiness that was a little too much for my taste. The classic salads on their menu are 79 kr, and I think you definitely get a good amount of food. It easily filled me up for dinner. I'll definitely get the dressing on the side next time. It's just an ok place for me. Not really much better or worse than other salad bars I've tried.

For 52 kr, you get to choose 3 prepared deli salads, 2 spreads, and one piece of bread. It's a solid deal for an affordable lunch in Copenhagen. All three salads were delicious and the spreads were very tasty. I was unsure if I'd like the spreads, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed both the sweet potato and split pea hummus. I also ordered a kebab of chicken on the side but I would forgo that next time. The salads are very filling and you really don't need the extra protein on the side. I will be back for the 3 salad combo very soon!

Protein-baren has taken up shop on Jagtvej close Nørrebrogade, where there's more shawarma action than most of us know what to do with. Are you over kebab? Do you feel like garbage after you eat it anyway? Do you want to at least pretend to be healthy? Are you too lazy to cook dinner sometimes? Are you cheap? Fantastic. Then I think Protein-Baren might be the place for you. The shop is currently a mom and son stop, where Frank is in front taking orders and his sweet mother is sweating behind the scenes putting together delicious high protein wraps and sandwiches. They have a fancy app that's coming out in August so you can order your food ahead of time so you don't have to wait to eat (and even if you don't do that, the wait's not very long), but I highly recommend unloading for a while (bonus points if you're unwinding after some heavy squats) and hanging out while you eat: it's quite *hyggeligt* inside.

We also got an egg wrap. Order came in about 10 minutes and everything looked just amasing and portions were really nice. You can look at my pictures. Everything tasted just right. There are few features I really liked and I think they need to be mentioned. - you basically make your order on an iPad. There are portions with vegetables, proteins, sauces, bread, salads, toppings... - I really loved the idea relating to pull ups. Every pull up you make, earns you a 1% discount on your order. I got 50% discount! Well only because of Yelps special week deal, not because of pulls up :) - I also found their coffee interesting. It was something new for me- The system is Growers cup. Its basically bag with coffee, where you just add hot water and than you wait 3-6 minutes and than you can pour. One bag is for two cups (people). Price was 30 Dkk, which was not so bad - at the end I have to mention the bathroom, which is for Danish standard, quite huge and really stylish. Generally speaking its a very nice place focused on healthy food. Strongly recommend to people who really care about their health and diet. Thank you for reading it and have a nice Yelpy day!

My first time in Denmark with my friend being my tour guide couldn't have gone any better! My…read morefriend is vegan and I am always excited to try vegan restaurants, plus she had this cafe bookmarked for a while. The layout of the cafe is very cozy and dimly lit, a perfect place for vegans to socialize over lattes and food. We decided on their brunch platter and croissant sandwich, so we could share everything. I got a matcha latte and she got a regular one. The cashier was very kind, and she gave us her recommendations on what to try. She even spoke to me in English (although she didn't have to!). I also decided on trying out a pain au chocolat. Wow, just simply wow. Their pastries are still buttery and fluffy while remaining amazingly vegan, and their ingredients are high quality. The "cheeses" did not taste like plastic, no, but tasted similar to authentic cheese. The croissant sandwich was full of flavors and everything on the brunch platter was delicious. I especially loved how they decorated and seasoned the avocado (and it was ripe!) The matcha latte was a lovely wake up, especially after I had a horrible matcha latte the day prior. After about an hour or so, we were both eyeing their options of "cheesecakes" and decided on sharing a slice of their pecan option. After we took our first bite, my friend and I just looked at each other. The pecans and sauce complimented each other so well, and the vegan consistency wasn't too mushy! The breading was not too crumbly and each bite was Heaven. All in all, I am SO EXCITED to come back to this delicious cafe, as it was my favorite restaurant we tried during our stay in Copenhagen.

It is a vegan bakery! There are a few gluten-free pastries, namely the cakes. The place was small inside and it was packed. Dog friendly . . . Five stars for that! There is an outside seating area as well. We ordered some items and all were so amazing! On their Instagram page they are always posting about their vegan fastelvnsbolle and so we got some. It is basically a cream puff the size of a child's fist. Oh my, one of my faves from Denmark. The vanilla whipped cream inside was so light and not to sweet. The dough did not get soggy. On the contrary, the bottom of the pastry was crunchy and sweet. Almost like the bottom of an almond croissant. I also recommend their vegan, raw cakes. Deep rich chocolate is involved, yay!
