Excellent service and attention to detail. My wife and I took our 2 bikes for tuneups last week for the first time in years (these bikes had been sitting in a garage for over 4 years just collecting dust). To our surprise, the service was so spectacular that it feels as if we just bought two brand new versions of our bikes - they looked and felt as if they had zero miles on them). We then brought our daughter's new Guardian bike that we bought her for Christmas because we just couldn't figure out how to put the training wheels on it. Nelson was so nice and helpful that he had her bike ready for her that same afternoon. The quality of the customer service, the interest to help and the prices are why this establishment deserves a ton of praise. I purchased a Stromer electric bicycle from this store for $7,000. I brought the bike in for routine maintenance this past December, and after that service, the bike began experiencing electrical issues that it did not have before. From the first day I picked it up, the motor would overheat and the pedal assist would not function properly. I brought the bike back to the store, and they kept it from December 20 to January 19, nearly a full month, for repair. When I picked it up on January 24, the same electrical issue reappeared within less than 30 minutes of riding. The issue was not resolved. I contacted the store the same day and provided photos showing the issue was still present (I have photos with metadata and records of the messages I sent). I was told they would contact Stromer, but they never asked me to bring the bike back. On January 28, after three business days, I requested an update via text and was told they were still waiting for Stromer's response. By January 30, I still had no resolution or meaningful communication. I then requested, via text message, a defined timeline for resolution, giving a deadline of seven days and stating that I would escalate the matter further if necessary, although I preferred not to. After this message, the dealer responded in writing that they would no longer manage my warranty case, would no longer communicate with me regarding the issue, and that I was no longer welcome at their store. They advised me to contact Stromer directly, despite the fact that Stromer does not provide direct support to individual customers in the U.S. The phone number provided did not connect me to customer support. In their message, this store stated that the initial warranty case had been "fully resolved" and suggested that any further assistance would have been a goodwill gesture rather than a warranty obligation. This does not align with my experience, as the electrical issue remained unresolved and first appeared after their service. Screenshots of the messages referenced above are attached. In A Nutshell: -This Suncycling Cycle shop is very friendly. -I rented their nicest road bike to use in a triathlon & ended up in 2nd place. -The bike I rented was a Wilier for around $130 a day. -The bike itself was better than the bike I own back home & it was everything I needed to perform well. -I also rented their Trek road bike for a cool down ride for around $85 a day. -Both bikes were really nice. -They have some nice gear such as OnCloud running shoes & apparel at this store. Beyond terrible. Paid them to pack and ship two bikes back up north. They lost the pedals to one bike and did substantial damage to the other. Cost hundreds of dollars to fix. When the bike store on the receiving end called them to inquire about the missing pieces and damage, they were rude and then hung up. If I could give this place a ZERO, I would. I'm a new biker, and I went to this place to have my mirror screwed tighter because it had fallen down on my first ride. It was a distraction and I felt unsafe. I waited for the store to open and when it did, I asked the guy if he could just tighten the mirror screw for me because I was feeling very unsafe. He refused. He told me that because I didn't buy the bike there he would 't help me. He didn't even offer to let me use a screwdriver to do it myself. He had no qualms that he was sending me out on the street feeling vulnerable. He was, however, quite happy to sell me something if I wanted to buy some thing in the store. Unbelievable. read more

Went cycling with my Nephew this morning and he noticed once we left the house that his brake lever was loose. Unfortunately we hadn't brought our tools. I said no problem we can pop into Sun cycling shop I am sure they will be kind enough to loan us one. I first went in to ask for one and was told to bring the bike in. My brother took it in and the lady at the cash register and the mechanic said we had to but the tool. I was stunned at that response. Been a cyclist for many years. I actually had told my brother he should come here to have a complete bike review that he needs. Well we will never return and make sure our cyclist friends know of this poor attitude. I dropped off my kids bike this morning to have a flat tire replaced. I was told to return at the end of the day. I went back at 5 PM and the bike had not been worked on. He told me it would be ready tomorrow. I told him don't worry about it just give me the correct tube and I'll fix it myself. I could tell he was unhappy, but my kid rides his bike to school tomorrow. I got home and it was the wrong tire size. I went back to the shop and asked for a correct size and brought the innertube with me so he could match it. He refused to give me a new tire. He refunded me and rudely told me that he didn't want to give me the new tube. I couldn't understand why wouldn't you give me the innertube that fit the bike. I had the sample with me. He had already charged me for the old wrong size. He was very rude. Wouldn't look at me and just said I'll refund your money leave. So I left. Too bad for him. When I bought a bike here I also bought a rear rack which they had to order and would give me a call once it came in during the week. Didn't receive a call. I had to follow up a week later. The sales person I spoke to seemed completely lost to the order. They said they would call me back once they located the order. Didn't get a call. The next day I called again and asked for a refund. The salesman had to call the owner to see about getting a refund then they would call me back. Get a call back saying they would process my refund. It never happened. I called again and get the original sales person who helped me. Turns out they processed the wrong refund thinking I was another customer. At this point the salesman was pleading with me to not ask for a refund because he would get in trouble for it. He said he'd have to call the owner to talk to him about it. I asked to speak to the owner directly instead of this back and forth phone tag. Apparently this guy is the Wizard of Oz because talking to him directly seems impossible. Never got my refund. Love supporting small businesses but the lack of organization and communication here is not worth the trouble. If you do shop here don't order anything make sure it's in stock because you might never get it. read more

Other than the prices this guys offers (in order to balance the lack of industry knowledge) there is nothing good about these stores... I have friends in common from back home and know for a fact that he knows NOTHING about cycling nor the people he hires to work at his shops (at least the ones in Coconut Groove and Downtown Miami). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Red Flags: 1. A close friend of mine took his MTB for an overhaul service and the mechanic forgot to put in the brake safety pin. Took the bike to Pisgah - Black mountain and when descending he notice he had no brakes..... Once my friend called the owner to tell him about this, he replied by saying that that wasn't possible. 2. I walked into the downtown shop and the "mechanic" was watching youtube videos on how to maintenance disc breaks... not only that but telling him that I wanted to build me bicycle with force 12 speed he said that it was going to be an issue putting the cables through the frame because we didn't have the cable guides.... 3. Employees (when owner is not around) talk very poorly about owner. He even recommended a triathlon seat to a friend who wanted to road bike and the employees made fun of him. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So the story is that I recently bought a frame and wanted to build it... talked to the owner and agreed to build it with them since the price he offered me was unmatchable. He said he had in stock the wheels and group set, was just missing stem and aerobar... To make this story shorter, I left my bicycle in the hands of the owner on thursday, then on tuesday I texted him to see what was the status of the build and his replied was "I am in disney until thursday, things got complicated, wont be able to have it ready until next week"... I asked him, what was he missing? I could go pick up the parts and pay so I could build it myself (since he had mention to me before that building a bike took at least a week.... Its all wireless... I knew it shouldn't even take him more than half of day, but did not want to argue since the price he was given me was amazing). He's last replied was, I think it would be better for you to pick up your frame and build it elsewhere. In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend this bike shop to anybody looking to get real bike services or real advices. Probably to fix an old bicycle or a puncture will be more than fine, but other than that is a BIG NO. If he gives the prices he promises then just use it to buy parts from him. Terrible professionalism. I left my bike for general tune up. Picked it up and took it home. Once i get there the tires were still flat. I then took it back again and was told that there were two holes in the tires. A bike that has not been used since the repair. Not to mention that i was charged. A massive thank you to the guys at suncycling for coming to my rescue. I was supporting an event and someone brought a blow-up palm tree for the "festive finale". Unfortunately, there was not enough lung power in the world to inflate it. I did a quick search and found SunCycling near the hotel and rushed over on foot. I - along with my sad, limp palm tree - was warmly welcomed into the store. And when I made my ridiculous plea for inflation help, I was immediately assisted, no questions asked. I am not a frequent customer; it was my first time in the store, and despite the fact that I wasn't making a purchase, the guys did not hesitate to assist me. They even took their time look for the best nozzle attachment - they could have easily used that as an excuse, but no they looked around the behind the counter area to find something that would work. I'm not sure they realize how grateful I was - and still am - for their kindness. So even though this review isn't about a bike sale or repair, if they would help out a complete stranger with something that would bring no money to their business, then I can only imagine how stellar they are when it comes to assisting actual customers. After my bike was stolen, I wasn't about to invest in anything expensive. So Walmart special, it was. But when I brought my neon-hued new ride home, it was already sporting a flat tire. Fail. So, I hit up my friendly neighborhood bike shop for a fix and a basket installation, to boot. They didn't give me any shit about my dime store two-wheeler, and set about getting her in road-ready shape straightaway. For quite the reasonable price, I might add. Despite my affinity for a bike life, I'm pretty ignorant to the whole cycle-scene in this city, so it's nice to not feel ostracized by or awkward around the serious folks. Another great experience at Sun Cycling! I brought my commuter in for a tune up, a rebuilt bottom bracket, (old school), and a spoke replacement (broken spoke). They gave me a very fair price and were very welcoming and professional. The mechanic did a beautiful job and was very honest in his assessment of what the bike needed. Excellent work! The price was very fair as well, not too expensive. (Better than most bike shops in Miami) I will definitely bring my carbon fiber road bike in when it's due as well as my wife's commuter bike. This is the worst bike shop franchise because of the owner, Omar. I was sold a high-end ebike as new and it was later discovered that it was used with over 800 miles based on the computer log that is on the handlebar. I began having problems with this $3000. ebike and I was told that since they are not(no longer) a Bulls dealer they can't help me. This was after 6 months of the purchase and the issue was not with the bike but with the Bosch battery and charger. The weird part is that Suncycling is a registered Bosch ebike service center. I'm sure the staff are fine and you will not likely run into Omar like I did, but ultimately, if you have a problem with your purchase, it's the owner who decides if you will be treated well. I was sold a used bike as new and had to troubleshoot the problem myself and pay for a new battery and charger for a total of $859. from REI outdoors. Please do not shop at any Suncycling store as this is not a client friendly chain. If its a ebike you are buying, don't ever buy from a bearded hipster bike purist. take your time and buy from a non-traditional cycling and experienced ebike technican who can work on it without prejudice. read more

Im your "do-it yourself" type so i tend to do most of my own maintenence, upgrades and repair because I don't like dealing with other people work. But I don't have EVERY tool needed so I'm forced to take certain things to shops. I build my own wheels but i don't have a truing stand to get the wheel perfectly straight and solid. I tell you that to tell you I took a new set of wheels I built in January to them and the mechanic did an ok job and they charged me $15 per wheel. Not a bad deal. So I just built another new set of wheels (6mons later) and brought it to them again. Same sales "kid" was there and when I put the wheels on the counter and said I need my wheels tried. He looks at them surprised at how loose the spokes are and says, you mean "finish the build". I'm like, no, they re built already. Just need a true. I pick em 2 days later and he charges me $25 per wheel and says it like he gave me a deal and did me a favor. That's why I don't like dealing with shops. Cuz of shady service like that. Makes me wanna buy a truing stand. One less thing I have to deal with a shop about. read more

This place is right next to my apartment and never made it in. A few weeks ago i noticed my bike had a flat tire. I took it in and was able to get it repaired in about 10 minutes for a very reasonable price. Super friendly staff an very honest. A few days later i was riding by and had no tools but needs my seat adjusted and another few minor tweaks on the bike. They helped me out at no charge and sent me on my way. I cannot speak to the sales side as i have never bought anything there, but there service is top notch, reasonably priced, and honest. read more

Amazing service. I could not be happier with my purchase. The store offers a wide variety of products, and the workers have the expertise and the willingness to help you. I bought a Tern foldable bicycle. They ordered the model I wanted online (since I didn't want the one they had exhibited) and told me it would take about a week to arrive. I was surprised when they called me the next morning to tell me my bike was ready. When I got to the store it was already assembled and tuned up, so I was able to ride it back home.
