Dr. Pilcher, my original doc was injured and hasn't been able to return to work for several years. Angela Armstrong has been my provider in her absence. The professionalism and passion for patients is STILL top notch! That is evidenced by the nearly full waiting room I see at each visit. Even with a near capacity waiting room- the wait is never excessive. Mrs. Armstrong is quick, efficient, thoughtful, thorough, knowledgeable, helpful, and very caring! I've always felt confident in her findings and recommendations, although I have to admit I don't always follow her recommendations to a 'T.' The single most important time that I NEEDED to, was the time she discovered I had a large melanoma on my shoulder. We immediately made an appt for Dr. Shvartzman to remove it. The surgery went seamlessly, although he took out a much larger area than I thought needed to be removed. But, then again, I'm not the doctor and I'm doing just fine now! Hands down -- this is THE BEST dermatology/skin surgery office in Jax! Why would anyone want to go anywhere else???

They're located in the second floor. What a beautiful building inside! They have virtual aquariums everywhere, beautiful hanging lights, and other decor that is very impressive. I was checked in by a very nice lady. My wait was not long at all. The Nurse came in and got some info from me, then went to get the Physician Attendant. Both ladies were nice and knowledgeable. I had to have three growths on my face frozen and one on my scalp. Then a strange growth in my thigh. She decided to remove it and send it out for a biopsy. Better to be safe, than sorry. I got to feeling lightheaded and sick before she removed the growth. The sweet Nurse rushed to get me some water and crackers. I was pretty nervous. After five minutes, I felt better. Then the removal and check out. The whole experience was extraordinary. I do not remember their names. They were much appreciated. I have to go back for a recheck in a few weeks. Why were my reports not looked at until I was prepped and ready to go??!! 5 people in the room with me and not one introduction. This deranged woman had to be restrained twice by employees, my husband was made to help the assistant. This place is madness! It took months to get the proper required forms and reports sent to my Ins Co and other referral places delaying my procedure for 4 months! Just insane and useless, should be closed by the State.

Since I work in healthcare I can be very understanding of the issues healthcare is facing. Unfortunately this place I do not give any grace towards. I went for acne and have been needing to discuss my medications. I've called and left voicemails on the nurses line several times, and I have YET to get a phone call back regarding any of my issues. I also went for a skin check and the PA was incredibly rude- disregarding all my concerns. The front desk staff won't even let you finish what you're saying before they transfer you (incorrectly-I might add). The front desk staff also will answer the phone off hold and then replace you back on hold indefinitely if it's close to closing time (I.e. the time normal working people can call). This office is incredibly disorganized and impossible to get anything done. I will not be returning (not that the staff cares LOL). I would highly recommend that if you have serious skin concerns you go somewhere else, this place will not take you seriously as a patient. This is coming from a healthcare worker who understands the system!

Amazing!! The assistant checking me in was kind and friendly. The girls in the procedure room were professional, kind, and knowledgable - one of them was especially joyful. Unfortunately, the lady who checked me out ruined the euphoric experience because she was terse (one might even say "nasty") and unkind - 5 stars to 4 because I had to deal with her. Oh, well.
