ABSOLUTE TRUSTWORTHY LEGENDS!…read more Being a good son I have been fixing up my Moms prized possession her favorite car. She would not take another car even if I offered her a Rolls Royce. So anyway the transmission was acting up (starting from 3rd gear instead of 1st) and I was short on time, which made me make a crucial mistake by taking the car to a nearby shop instead of B & J. Those little jerks at the other shop lied to me and tried to tell me I had to get a new transmission. They said they checked every milk and cranny and that it was 100% my tranny. The only thing is my Moms car shifts as smooth as an angels walking through the gates of heaven. Right away I called B & J (Who was originally my first choice, they were just further away so I didn't have time to pop over there) and B & J said that sounds like the solenoid, which the other shady shop said it is impossible for it to ever be. they said the Elvis would be brought back from the dead, before it was ever the solenoid that was making the transmission start from the wrong gear. Then the other shady shop said we checked your solenoids and they are clean and perfect like they were never used before. You could tell the guy was lying from his mannerisms, long pauses, shaky fingers and side to side eyes. Anyway I snagged my Moms car back and jammed to B&J and what's funny is when I walked in I told another guy who I didn't communicate with yet asked what the problem was and he's like "yeah, man that sounds like a solenoid" so yeah B & J replaced the Solenoid and the car runs like a reborn race car.

Read on to see about my Scout II experience: I had used Aldo before for my 76 Scout II. He had rebuilt my Transmission , Transfer Case and Differentials. That was 20 years ago... The workmanship was excellent and the price was more than fair. Here we are now 20 years later and many many miles driven. The drivetrain was still working, but tired. Seals, bearings etc worn. Not bad for all the years driven. I called Aldo, and he took me in. He completely went through my transmission, transfer case, rear differential, and checked the front differential (It was still in perfect condition !!). I just got it back, and it drives better than ever !! He recommended an upgrade to the rear differential that would help performance and reliability. He was spot on !! I absolutely love it !!. Thank you Aldo and crew for all of your hard work. I have had my Scout since 1983, and I know with people like him, I will be able to keep it for many more good years to come. I highly recommend them. They go above and beyond, and their workmanship is superb !!!

Alberto was responsive and had a team out in a day. Work was completed and payment requested. It ended up being more work than he anticipated and we agreed upon a higher rate. It was fair and I paid. Both he and his team made comments about a one year warranty on anything they touched. 5 star rating at this point. After a couple days, there was something off. Upon inspection, his team set the second shock at a different height than the first. I messaged him a couple times including pictures. He finally answered when I called. We set up a time for his guys to fix it. They didn't show the first day and after calls and messages, he answered and set up for the next day. They came out and fixed it but noticed that this caused a bolt to bend. They ordered new ones and installed the following day. 4 star rating at this point. 2 days of driving and a new talking sound is happening. Many calls and messages and no response or answer. It turned out his team did not install the bushings on one of the shocks and left the sway bar loose. Should be no stars. His team that arrived was nice enough and clean. I'm guessing they should have had a senior mechanic overseeing them due to the errors. As for his stated "warranty", it seems to be one of convenience and sounds good but it holds no water. Alberto isn't an honest business person and does not stand by his word.

I can say that Steve was most professional, experienced and knowledgeable. Probably the best aspect of working with him was his communication skills. He was accessible, explained things clearly and was flexible in preparing a repair plan that fit my complicated situation. I also found him to have excellent customer facing interpersonal skills. He is a pleasure to work with. The shop is located in a facility with plenty of parking in a good neighborhood off or Almaden Expressway and the shop was clean and very well equipped. There is a vanishing number of Bay Area AC repair facilities, especially ones with expertise and willingness to take on work that goes beyond simple tasks. B&C is a great resource.

I would give 0 star if I can. I do not know how they got such a high score…read more I would never send my car to this garage again. I found this shop online and saw that it had good reviews. Since it was close to my house and my car only needed regular maintenance, I decided to give it a try on my 23 Volvo xc90. The regular maintenance cost was around $500, which was similar to pay at a Volvo dealer. After I picked up the car, I noticed the tire pressure warning light was on. I initially assumed the tire simply needed some air, so I didn't think much of it. I didn't even refill the tire immediately because I had a business trip the following week. When I returned, I filled the tire, but the warning light was still on. I then realized there might be an issue with the tire sensor. The sensor had never had any issues since I owned the car. It had been working normally before I brought the car in for maintenance, and the warning only appeared after I picked it up. I contacted the owner, Steve, mainly to understand if they had noticed anything during the maintenance. I was not initially asking them to fix it. His response was that they did not touch the tires or sensors and therefore did not know what happened, and that I should take it to a tire shop. I explained that the sensor had worked normally for the entire time I owned the car and had no issue before the maintenance. He also questioned why I contacted them about two weeks later. I had not even refilled the tire immediately, and I was away on a business trip. More importantly, I don't understand why two weeks would explain a sensor suddenly failing on a relatively new car that had never had this issue before. I am not saying the garage definitely caused the sensor problem, because I don't have the technical information to determine that. I am simply stating the timeline: the sensor worked normally before the maintenance, and the warning appeared afterward. For me, the bigger issue was how the situation was handled. This could have been a very small issue. Simply saying, "Bring the car back and let us take a look," would have made me feel very differently. Because of this experience, I plan to have my car checked by a Volvo dealer and will use a different garage in the future. Since the reliability of a car is most important things. Based on my experience, if you have other options, I would personally recommend considering another garage who are more reliable.
