I used B&C for a complicated AC system diagnosis, after having two other shops fail to service my Ford Van properly. I can say that Steve was most professional, experienced and knowledgeable. Probably the best aspect of working with him was his communication skills. He was accessible, explained things clearly and was flexible in preparing a repair plan that fit my complicated situation. I also found him to have excellent customer facing interpersonal skills. He is a pleasure to work with. The shop is located in a facility with plenty of parking in a good neighborhood off or Almaden Expressway and the shop was clean and very well equipped. There is a vanishing number of Bay Area AC repair facilities, especially ones with expertise and willingness to take on work that goes beyond simple tasks. B&C is a great resource. read more

I would give 0 star if I can. I do not know how they got such a high score. I would never send my car to this garage again. I found this shop online and saw that it had good reviews. Since it was close to my house and my car only needed regular maintenance, I decided to give it a try on my 23 Volvo xc90. The regular maintenance cost was around $500, which was similar to pay at a Volvo dealer. After I picked up the car, I noticed the tire pressure warning light was on. I initially assumed the tire simply needed some air, so I didn't think much of it. I didn't even refill the tire immediately because I had a business trip the following week. When I returned, I filled the tire, but the warning light was still on. I then realized there might be an issue with the tire sensor. The sensor had never had any issues since I owned the car. It had been working normally before I brought the car in for maintenance, and the warning only appeared after I picked it up. I contacted the owner, Steve, mainly to understand if they had noticed anything during the maintenance. I was not initially asking them to fix it. His response was that they did not touch the tires or sensors and therefore did not know what happened, and that I should take it to a tire shop. I explained that the sensor had worked normally for the entire time I owned the car and had no issue before the maintenance. He also questioned why I contacted them about two weeks later. I had not even refilled the tire immediately, and I was away on a business trip. More importantly, I don't understand why two weeks would explain a sensor suddenly failing on a relatively new car that had never had this issue before. I am not saying the garage definitely caused the sensor problem, because I don't have the technical information to determine that. I am simply stating the timeline: the sensor worked normally before the maintenance, and the warning appeared afterward. For me, the bigger issue was how the situation was handled. This could have been a very small issue. Simply saying, "Bring the car back and let us take a look," would have made me feel very differently. Because of this experience, I plan to have my car checked by a Volvo dealer and will use a different garage in the future. Since the reliability of a car is most important things. Based on my experience, if you have other options, I would personally recommend considering another garage who are more reliable. read more

Was helped by Steve for a brake inspection for my Tesla M3LR. The car was making weird screeches, and Tesla SC quoted $2.3k for repairs for full replacement of rotors and brakes front and back. B&C looked at the brake life, it was 80% and nothing was wrong. Paid around $100, the free coupon for brake inspections doesn't apply to Teslas and should've been specified so 4*, but happy about the diagnosis and honest second opinion irrespective of that. read more

I have an Audi Q7 with special modified suspension, that requires real expertise to work on. For over a year I had a loud nose on my front wheel. After 3 other mechanics couldn't figure it out I went o Steve at B&C Automotive. Within a few hours he found the issue, ordered the parts, and within two days I was back on the road! VERY professional, VERY honest, and VERY affordable service. I would not hesitate to go back to them for all of my car repair needs! A++++ read more

The gentlemen at B&C fixed up my Tesla Model 3 today with no fuss. Great job. Very happy with it

We just moved into the area and asked some friends for auto mechanic referrals, B&C was the one we went with and we have been thrilled. We have an older Ford Ranger that needs a little TLC occasionally, and B&C have been great. The prices are fair, work well done, and promises kept. Zero hesitation in recommending them for your auto work. read more

Found my permanent auto mechanics! I had an early AM appointment to get my brakes inspected since my family goes to this center and recommended me to make an appointment. First time car owner & any little sound especially with brakes definitely gets me anxious, so took it in. Within 40 mins they were done inspecting & everything turned out to look alright - but huge thank you to Steve & the great crew here! I hope to not be back anytime soon haha, but I know where to go if I need. read more

I've been coming to B & c auto for a while now and I have no complaints . They have never tried to upsell me on a repair I didn't need for my vehicle . Steve is really nice and responsive . Anytime I have had issues with my car needing a repair Steve let's me know , and checks my warranty policy to see if it's covered and just gets things done . All in a timely manner as well! Great team overall ! read more

B&C did a fantastic job on my Audi. They were able to get me in for a repair the day after I called and had the car back to me in 24 hours, fixing two problems and doing the scheduled service at a lower cost than the dealer would have charged for service alone. Communication was great, very friendly, and easy. I'm completely happy and I recommend this shop without any hesitation! read more

Went above and beyond to repair my motor and fan. Highly recommend coming to this repair shop. They have fair transparent pricing. Special shout-out to Steve! read more

The entire process of getting my car repaired was super smooth & successful (setting up an appointment, dropping my vehicle off on my appointment day & picking it up and paying). Their staff were very friendly & professional & never pressured me once into getting anything extra done to my car, which I've experienced at past repair shops. Thanks for everything! I have taken my car (BMW) to B&C center in the past 5 years. I feel so grateful I found them in Yelp 5 years ago. Their service are reliable and fairly priced. Derek and Steve in the office are really nice. Recommending them to everyone live in the neighborhood who need the auto service. read more

Scheduled an appointment using my CarMax warranty through repairpal. Easy drop off and pick up. Stayed in communication. Very courteous and professional. Fixed my vehicle problem within 24 hours. Highly recommend. read more

Always knowledgeable, great service, and cost effective!

These guys tried to charge me 2 times the cost for parts than they cost. I did a price comparison and the same parts, same brand were more than half the cost available down the street at a parts store. They also quoted me at least 4 hours over on the labor. When sitting down to talk with the manager he basically told me to get lost. These guys are opportunistic and price gouging customers. Not cool. I recommend taking your business to someone else. read more

Our go to auto shop, solid work, extremely professional, friendly, fair priced. Everything I could ask for an auto machanic shop

This place is pretty great. They do a really good job and are pretty affordable. Steve who works in the front is super nice. I always just wait for my oil change to be done and he's always been friendly and helps the time pass. They're great at helping me keep my car serviced in time! I commute 40 miles a day for work so I need to keep my car in good shape. I trust the people at B&C Auto Center for car maintenance. read more

Quick, easy, efficient, and reasonable. I was thankful to have been referred to them through CarMax. They helped identify why my check engine light was on and I was so fond of them that I took the car right back and got my brakes re-done. Steve and Derrick were awesome and I'm grateful to have my car running smoothly again. I think I found my new forever mechanics - thank you B&C! Super reliable and trustworthy! read more

I definitely recommend B&C Auto Center! Steve was super friendly and helpful, answering all of our questions. He was extremely patient and guided us through everything we actually needed to get fixed after previously going to a dealer. He gave us a fair and reasonable deal, and was able to get us in on short notice. Steve and his team did great work on our Hummer H3, would definitely go back in the future if we have any issues! read more

We had an appointment at 8 am and they we were already there and they cancelled on us. And the guy there was not and do not look a bit remorseful. I get it, they were busy, but they could be a little nice about it. read more

After getting an estimate from the dealership that was so expensive I had doubts about even keeping the car, I wanted a second opinion. B&C checked it out, and found very little wrong with it. They also identified some minor issues the dealership missed, including a burned out brake light, and a nail in my tire. Among the problems, the dealership wanted to replace the entire power steering pump, and B&C said its only a loose hose and a fitting that costs $10. I'm so grateful for their honesty! I also love that I can book an appointment online. Highly recommended! read more

They diagnosed my car with a problem. It would of been great if it was the problem! The guy tried to keep me there talking. He was not trust worthy. He said he worked on my type of car. Trust being the issue, I took my car to my normal repair shop. He found the problem. I would not trust these guys as a women and a professional. read more

I've never been so ripped-off in my life. Needed a new engine for my 90 CRX. Tiny simple car, more go-cart than car, very easy to work on. This guy sells me on a new engine for my tiny Honda, $6,000 for the whole project. Way overpriced but I wanted it done right. I get it back and the car 5 days later than quoted, He says "make sure it does not over heat or void the warranty" I drive it and the thermostat goes up to the red right away. I take it back and explained it over heats, they return says it does not, drive home the Temp gauge is off the chart again!!! Obviously its the temp gauge, But I bring it Back 3 times! before they even admit there is a problem. Charge me another $20 to fix that. I'm pissed and ask for some compensation for the whole blunder of being incompetent mechanics. I talk to Ron, the owner, and he gives me a small speech about how Jesus need to grace us with forgiveness. Yes Jesus taught us to forgive, but I was overcharged for lame workmanship, I don't see the connection. I specifically asked for all the old parts back, oop Nope. Threw them away too! I could have used those part, and I did ask for them* I finally get the car on the road, new thermostat, and its makes a hard slam when I engage the clutch. Mechanic says it's because I need new motor mounts!!! Apparently they did not come with the motor swap! Why didn't they mention it when the motor was out? I again ask Why didn't you change them when the engine was out? Mechanic responds "yhea thats why we don't like working on these old Hondas" If you don't like to work on old Hondas, you should have told me that to begin with. They also replaced the clutch while the engine was out, 2 weeks later the transmission blows! Also my dry-cell battery blows-up on me a few days later on a long road trip. I call and ask "Did you charge my battery?" he responds Yep 12amp charge. IDIOT! Dry-cell Only take trickle charge. Thats a $200 battery you destroyed, and my weekend on the roadside fixing it! I should have taken them to small claims court. Severely overcharged, for shoddy work. Incompetent! Zero Stars! B&C you ruined my car & ruined my life & charged my life savings to fix it AND I had to fix your mistakes. Literally you Wiped out my Saving account & I was Fired from my job, from inconsistent presence from going To & From the auto shop to bring my car back and forth to fix what I had to return again & again & Again. It was a 90 honda CRX, how basic does it get *?! read more

On the drive back from Sacramento, I hear a funny sound. So I drop off the car late at night. The call comes middle of next day: "head gasket is leaking, so we replaced that and tuned it. Falls under warranty, so no charge" I say, "what warranty? The car is 13 years old!" They reply, "Our warranty. We worked on this a couple years back, so we need to make it right." That is why I go to B&C auto! read more

When I lived in San Jose, I used B&C for all my non-warranty auto repairs and maintenance. I now live in Milwaukee, but still maintain a car in San Jose for when my wife and I are back in town monthly on business. Last week, my wife was having trouble with the battery and I told her to give Ron a call. They worked it out so she could drop off the car when she left town, and they worked out details with a friend of our to have it picked up. We arranged for payment over the phone and it was all just easy. I always know that I can trust Ron and his people to give me a honest assessment (either good or bad), do the work right, and at a fair price. I highly recommend B&C for ALL non-warranty vehicle work. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE! We have been going here for years. The team at B&C is efficient, friendly, and honest. We just took our SUV to a dealership in a crunch. It was not a good experience. After bring our SUV to B&C to get a second opinion on some of the work the dealership said needed to be done, we found out the dealership was telling us to replace broken things that weren't even broken... We are so glad that we took the time to B&C to get their advice. We recommend B&C all the time to our friends- it's a great shop! read more

I have been going here for a few years now without disappointment or complaints. Helpful and informative.

Power steering was leaking, I knew this, they knew this, anyone that heard my car turning knew this. Turns out is was just a missing O-ring so they replaced it and charged me for the labor. Trustworthy and legit place by my standards. read more

I was really impressed with these guys. They were very friendly, and professional. They did an amazing job at repairing my car ('97 Miata), as well as finding a few other things that needed to be taken care of. I purchase my car used, and because of B&C Auto, I am confident that my car is in excellent working condition. I will be returning to them in a few months to get maintenance work done. The only downside was that it was a little more expensive that I had anticipated (expeceted about $750, cost about $1000), and took a few days longer than anticipated (expected 1-2 days, took 4). Aside from those two things, I was very impressed, and would recommend them to anyone. read more

B&C is fantastic. I brought my car in to fix the AC, they asked me if I need a ride home (I didn't need one, but it was nice of them to ask), they call a hour later and told me what they found, explained what they need to do to fix it and estimate. I got my car back before end of the day and it worked great (it even comes with 2 year warranty). Great place to get your car fixed. Thanks B&C! read more

I have been taking my Prius to B & C Auto for the past 4 years. I have always been very satisfied with the level of service by everyone there. The prices for service are very reasonable and great value. The guys in the office will take you nearly anywhere if you need a ride while your car is being serviced. I would definitely continue to take my car to B & C, but my family is leaving California....we hope to find someone to care for our cars as much as B & C Auto has...we will miss them tremendously!! read more

B & C is a lifesaver! I'm so glad my friends recommended them to me six years ago. Good, trustworthy, affordable auto shops are hard to find- I used to do feel ripped off every time I went to a shop. B & C is affordable and flexible- they've picked me up and dropped me off when I needed service. I had a 79 Bronco with Nevada plates thought I thought had no chance in hell of passing CA smog because it was missing pieces and vacuum tubes and such- but they worked with me and we did it, for only a couple hundred $. B & C is honest- they've always told me exactly what is wrong with my cars and what their recommendations are, and then let me decide how much I wanted to put into it. They've given me tips to get me back on the road in times of need when I couldn't get in the shop. read more

My husband - Joe is very satisfied with there prices and service. We will definetly be going back for all our auto needs. Paul F. recommended them and it was worth every penny. I loved how clean and pretty there office is - very woman friendly - the bathroom is AMAZING - VERY clean and VERY comfortable - not at all what you'd expect from a auto center. I applaud the woman that cares and beautified this place. They also offer p/u and drop off service - which is so hometownish - I really appreciated the incredible customer service. yea! read more

I had brought my car in for an oil change and to get some general advice on my cars maintenance. I worked with Steve and he gave me a run down of all that was going on with my car, and what I needed to do. Most importantly he told me WHY. Turns out that my oil pan had been leaking and also that my timing belt was coming up due for service. He told me what issues were priority and what issues were minor. Steve was incredibly honest and personable, I felt like I could ask him questions without feeling annoying or stupid. The rest of the staff made sure to greet me and make sure that as I waited for my car that I was taken care of. Job was finished on time and at the prices quoted. It's pretty hard to find a mechanic you can trust, but these guys are setting a whole new bar for the industry when it comes to customer service. 5/5 Would recommend to EVERYONE. read more

My pops and I used to do our own maintenance, but as he became older and I got a lot busier, keeping up with the car kept getting pushed to the side. Finally, repairs caught up with me and I had to find a garage to bring my truck. Asked around and they came highly recommended from a family friend. B&C did not disappoint. Trustworthy, empathetic, really open and honest in explaining what needs to be done. You certainly come out feeling like they have your best interest at heart from start to finish. More than satisfied (the truck feels like it can go another 15 years with me), I'm going to be a regular customer. read more
