I drove 3 1/2 hours from Long Beach California to come get my LASIK done by Dr Sunalp . After a long early morning I was pleasantly welcome by his abundant staff . Everyone was very warm and welcoming. They all knew my long drive and made me feel comfortable right away . His office and facility was clean and filled with tons of eye exam machines. I was really impress with how smooth everything went and how his customer were all taking care of. Everyone seemed to received the same level of care and comfort . So it was finally time for my LASIK . I was getting little nervous and excited at the same time . They have a relaxing room that was very zen and smoothing to be in. The procedure it self was under 5 minutes at most . We spend more time making me feel comfortable and relax. I hope if your reading this , you will make the jump and receive the same experience that I had. It's only been about 8 hours and already I am seeing fantastic. If I could give zero stars I would! I was referred here by my primary care physician because of a scratched cornea. I arrived 15 minutes early to my appointment and was there for over THREE HOURS! When I first arrived there were three people already there who got called up before me, as they should. However, after that I watched a total of 14 people who got there after me go in before me!I waited a little over TWO HOURS before I went to the front and asked about my place in line because I needed to get back to work the receptionist assured me I was next, however, not even two minutes after asking, someone else from the other side of the room approached for similar reasons and was told the same thing. When I finally got called back into a room I had to wait there unattended for another 15 min before finally getting some photos of my eye taken. They then led me into another waiting room where I waited another 15 min to get other tests ran before returning me to the second waiting room. I was left there by myself for another 20 min before they led me to a small room and said the doctor would be in shortly. I then waited another 20 minutes before going back up to the front desk and asking if they forgot about me. They did. I feel bad because by this point I was pretty irritated and asked the receptionist why they made appointments when they weren't going to honor hem but it wasn't her fault. If you took off work early thinking you would be gone an hour and a half tops to make it back round trip and it ended up taking 4.5 wouldn't you be upset though? They finally got the doctor to see me and he spent a total of maybe five minutes before prescribing me an eye drop and sending me on my merry way. Needless to say I will NOT be back! Oh, and on top of all of this there was shit on the bathroom floor as well. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment somewhere more time efficient and clean who actually care about their clients instead of the money they're going to bill their insurance! read more

I do not appreciate this company they never ansher there calls or return voicemails my daughter was supposed to get surgery in early December of 2024 and signed surgery papers but it's not about to be May 2025 and they have yet to call me about my daughters surgery I moved to another location and was able to get her help but sunlap laser vision has yet to call me about an update for my daughter I would not recommend them! They were going to give my daughter surgery withought doing an mri on her first which was ridiculous because at children's healthcare of ATL they did an mri to rule out anything being attached to my daughter cyst that she was supposed to have removed I'm so happy that I did not have to go through with them because I feel they don't actually care about there clients and have yet to call me about any updates that's very unprofessional of them and I would never go to them again and if you do pls make sure they do what there supposed to!!! Today, the appoint was at 8:45am, it's now after 1pm and she still hasn't been seen. What is the point of making an appointment if they aren't going to keep them? We were referred by a friend two years ago in regards to cataracts for both myself and husband. This whole office staff and Dr Sunalp have almost become family to us. My husband had cataract surgery and multi focal lens implants (hopefully this is the correct term) two years ago and I had cataract surgery this past month. Eyes..We only have 2. And we need 'em both. Can we trust them to just any one? I don't think so. I had an eyelid lift done by Dr. Sunalp and I'm thrilled with the results. Dr Sunalp has the best education a physician can get. Oxford. Stanford. USC. UCLA. It doesn't get better than this. Besides eye surgery, he does 'touch ups' and 'tweakage' (as I like to call them) as well. He has the latest and most impressive medical equipment and a nice and caring staff. My friend had some MAJOR work done on her eyes - cataract, lens transplant, the works. Don't go and have anything planned for hours. Its a all day waiting game. The dr. Was running around arguing with people on the phone. He also was yelling at his employees letting them know I am the boss not the other eye doctor. Very un professional to do all this with a full waiting room. Went yesterday for a Consult, Free! The staff were all AMAZING, polite and efficient. I drove from Bakersfield and they were on time and very down to earth. Chris the examiner was awesome and fast, I hate my eye exams and they made everything very easy. I was able to go ahead and do my pre-op same day, and I the price is GREAT, best I've seen. Will for sure recommend this place to others. Didn't meet the Dr yet but I was referred by another Ophthalmologist friend and it was for sure a great referral. As a medical professional you're only as good as your staff. Excited to get my LASIK surgery. read more

I started going to Sunalp's over 10 years ago. I went in for LASIK on both eyes. I was first seen by Chris Cazaly who did my work up. He was very friendly professional and informative. He relieved me of my concerns about the surgery and continued with follow up throughout the process. Dr Sunalp was also very friendly and did the LASIK surgery . I was very pleased with the out come and the continued follow up. I returned to Dr Sunalp this year for cataract surgery . Something I guess us older people have to look forward to. I found that the process was completely covered by Medicare. The surgery was performed in the Hospital and I got great care there and during follow up in the office after surgery. My vision is great now. I was pleased to see that I got the same personal care from Dr. Sunalp and his staff. I would recommend him to anyone for any eye problems. They have the best most modern equipment and are friendly and professional. read more

Dr. Sunalp was amazing, however his staff hasn't been so pleasant. I am having some issues with one of my eyes post surgery, and trying to get ahold of the Dr has been a nightmare. I was having extreme pain and since I am an out of town patient, i asked for a recommendation where to go here in my town, they said they would call the dr and give me a call back, four hours later still in pain I called them again, to only be told my drops should be working. I had my prescription sent over to my pharmacy, and unfortunately they are on back order for said drops. I called and asked to have them sent to a different pharmacy and asked for a call back when they had sent it over for conformation. I did not get my call back, nor was my prescription sent over to the new location. My eye drops are about to run out, my eye is in much pain, and I can't get a call back. I understand they see these cases everyday, and what I may be freaking out to is normal in their books, however, communication is a key factor is customer service, not only saying it but how you say it. read more
