My wife and I attended on Sunday suppertime. I went to the washroom and immediately bumped my head on a water tank. Although there is plenty of room above (between tank and ceiling), someone decided the forehead height of an average height man is the right place to hang the tank. Because the urinal is small, this means standing back further than normal to avoid said collision.
Once back at the table, I found the place was not busy and had two wait staff attending...and wait we did...for too long. When we were asked for our order, I had chosen the Big Kahuna burger (no tomato please)...it was the only one with the toppings listed. My wife had a question about the difference between some of the Chinese dishes but the waitress did not know (she is new) so referred to the other waitress who explained. My wife and I ordered. It took a while but I reasoned it takes time to cook a couple thick frozen burger patties. When our order arrived, my berger had mustard on it. I popped over to the counter to re-read the menu and pointed out to the waitress that mustard is not one of the toppings listed for the Big Kahuna burger...else I would have asked that mustard be omitted from mine. Without a word, the waitress retrieved my plate from the table and disappeared top the kitchen. A few minuted later she reappeared with the plate...sans mustard. I noted the onion that was also not listed with the toppings and ate the burger. When paying (and tipping 15%), I suggested to the waitress the cook should become familiar with the menu.
My wife asked about pie, since the whiteboard (listing specials) near our table included pie. We were told they don't serve pie but they have not been able to remove the wording from the whiteboard...permanent marker I guess. read more
