The beef was sparse and a bit dry, which was curious since the bread was quite greasy. I upgraded my side to a "power greens" salad which I did actually enjoy. The greens were fresh and topped with a pleasant poppyseed dressing. Topping it were thick slices of strawberries and postage-stamp size asiago shavings. My wife ordered chicken tenders and fries which were pretty average. As they are at most places. A locally-brewed session IPA whose name I can't recall (Quidi Vidi was the brewery) was on tap and we thought that was quite tasty. Service was quick and personable.

But if you go there, and you like it, you will get the same order every single time. They do a small buffet on Thursday - Saturday with about 10 items and delivery is available. Surprising for a Chinese place they do AMAZING wings. Whole wings in a very basic light crispy batter that is peppery and salty and delicious. Kids love the Chicken Balls and Rice or Chips and adults have enough variations in combinations to find the meal that they will enjoy. Perfectly standard Canadian style Chinese food.

Freshness and quality of the items used to make the dishes is average also. Your items that should be loaded with veggies probably won't be, they seem to skimp in that area. Take out is your best option, the dining area is circa 1990. The buffet has a limited selection. If it is busy, the food is ok. If it is slow, it doesn't hold up well to sitting around for very long. Prices are actually a little better than most Chinese places. If you are curious, check out the NL gov site that listes the health violations for all the restaurants in the provence.

From what I'm aware even sashimi is on that menu. I got the yam tempura roll and mango roll when I'm having the buffet and the volcano roll is absolutely delicious if you are just ordering from the menu. The dinner buffet in my opinion isn't worth your money compared to the value you get from going with the lunch time buffet. $20-$22 for lunch and roughly $30 for dinner buffet. That's without tax in tip. Usually I end up paying $30 for lunch and $40 for supper with everything included. Weekends are more expensive, a dollar or two added on to the buffet. If you want to try anything out non buffet, try ordering on skip the dishes for pickup and then use it with a coupon for some money off.
