Sun Valley, CA I…read moreaccompanied my friend for some grocery shopping. I'm new to this area so I was surprised something like this exist in her neighborhood. Driving to the store is easy as well as finding a parking space. Plenty of blue placard spaces and I like that. Inside, it's one of those step-down markets, but it is clean, well -stocked, and organized. The produce section is neatly arranged, and everything looked fresh and good quality. Since it is an international grocery, you'll find products from all over, which is wonderful - catering to all the customers. Prices are a little bit on the lower side compared to other markets, so you get value for what you're buying. There's also a public restroom tucked in the back with a clear sign, which is always helpful. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth checking out.

For food, I would say this store is very cheap compared to other grocery stores. Produce is way cheaper than other stores in the area. Deli department can be a headache since some people cut the line and don't wait for their turn , even though, getting a number and waiting in line is required. If you are interested in buying international and domestic beer, wines, and liquor, this store has a huge selection of alcoholic beverages. For ambiance, I would say this store has improved. It is way cleaner than it used to be. Employees are constantly cleaning and mopping the store which is a plus. Be careful of the carts when walking around in this store. Parking is easy. This store has a big parking lot in the front and on the side.

Sunland Produce - Like any other store you need to know what is on sale. It's an old store but not the dirtiest.

There a lot of parking spots here so you shouldn't have any issues and there are other stores here as well if you need other things. This Ralph store has self checkout station and also regular cashier line as well. Be aware that there no butcher for the meat, it's mainly seafood so all the meat are already prepackaged. The produce area is on the right side of the store and the soda are toward the left side where the bakery is as well. When I come to this grocery store, they usually have security at the entrance. It's nicely organized inside and sometime they do some nice decorations with certain items.

There are plenty of spots to park, but I the afternoon it can be tricky. Overall, a great grocery location. I can find everything on my shopping list.

From the moment I walked in, the customer service really stood out. I was approached by staff at least three different times, each one kindly asking if I needed help finding anything. It didn't feel forced or overbearing, just genuinely attentive and thoughtful. When I did have a question, I ended up speaking with the store manager, Justus, and he was incredibly kind, patient, and thorough in helping me. You can tell he really cares about both the customers and the store experience. That level of service is rare these days, and it honestly made my whole visit feel easy and enjoyable. It definitely left a lasting impression and makes me look forward to my next visit. Big thank you to the team for going above and beyond.

My Bread of choice is always whole grain. The sandwich is huge and cut in half. For an extra buck you can add chips and a water. Now, if you are in a rush they have pre made sandwiches of all sorts. Those are good too but not as good as a handmade one. Pro-tip they have cool kid lunches. Perfect for a field trip. Sprouts also has a self serve nuts/candy/dried fruits sold by the pound. Lots of organic and good for the soul stuff. I am a fan.

And the prices are sometimes half the price of the Ralph's down the street. The market is owned by Armenians, but unlike an Armenian grocery store, which is filled with specific ethnic food-supplies, this is almost all fresh stuff - so there is a lot of good general produce here that everyone can use. Top Buys Here: HEIRLOOM TOMATOES. - When they have them, they are usually in the two dollar per pound range. PICKLING CUCUMBERS - (which you cannot even get at the Ralph's) - Here you can buy a sack of these for a few bucks. RED BELL PEPPERS - Half the price or less than at the Ralph's. OKRA - Inexpensive and fresh. GREEN BEANS & BROAD BEANS - Both fresh and cheap (and you cannot even get broad beans at a regular super market.) And there are dozens if not hundreds of other great buys.here (like farmer's cheese, sumac, and Bulgar wheat). Definitely shop here if you live in the neighborhood. And I think that it is also worth the drive if you are not too far away. (Note: There is a good butcher shop right next door).
