When we informed them the sign said open they said they forgot to change it. Not at all friendly or welcoming. We then proceeded to look through the brochures in the lobby for information about fishing in the area. We could clearly hear the lady at the front desk yelling about some issue she was having. She said F@!$ at least 15 times. We will be calling someone.

Hemingway was described as unusually hesitant, disorganized, confused & his eyesight was failing. He was concerned about money, missed Cuba, his books, and his life there, & was afraid he'd never go back. Hemingway became paranoid, believing the FBI was actively monitoring his movements in Ketchum. Under an alias he was admitted to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota where he was treated 15 times with electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) . Hemingway said, "What is the sense of ruining my head & erasing my memory, which is my capital, and putting me out of business? It was a brilliant cure, but we lost the patient" Two days later Hemingway unlocked the basement storeroom where his guns were kept, went upstairs to the front entrance foyer, put 12 shells in the shotgun, put the end of the barrel into his mouth, pulled the trigger & blew out his brains here.
