The work itself looks great, and Rafael was the nicest guy. Very knowledgeable and has contacts for many other areas of car care (it's almost refreshing that they don't try to "do it all" like wraps; they specialize and do one thing well).

Definitely off to a good start there. Today I met with him to show him my car and my vision. His shop is in a large commercial warehouse space and was pretty easy to find. Tip: when turning into the lot, turn left. His shop is on the front left corner of the first building. Nate is a one man show and was easy to work with to get my estimate and schedule next steps. From initial quote, where the team even connected via text to have a clear understanding of my tint request, to the after service care, it's been great. The pricing is in line with most of the tint shops in the area (I quoted around) but this one was very friendly with zero pressure. Other shops would not allow me to partially tint and insisted I needed to do every single window on my vehicle at once. The service itself was very efficient. They matched the prior tint perfect, and the guys were very well informed. I truly felt like I was in expert hands and they kept it friendly and casual while maintaining professionalism. It was a quick turnaround and their appointments were timely. After a few days I started to notice bubbling on my windshield, I was worried because the windshield does not come with any warranty here but because the bubbling was on the edges they honored the repair, offered for me to come in same day, and I waited less than 10 minutes even though they had other appointments. A wooden block coming towards my car at around 80mph thankfully did not shatter my windshield upon impact, however,​ a pretty wide-spread and extensive crack was left behind. I go to school 2 hours away and was only home for the weekend. Fixing the windshield promptly was at the top of my priority list. Unfortunately,​ with Safelight, they did not have any available appointments until a week later. Caribe was able to come to​ my house and fix the windshield on​ the same day that I called. They were able to assist in calling my insurance company to work out the price and logistics. It is incredible that this company accepts ALL insurance companies. This means that they will accept the price proposed by the insurance company to fix the issue on hand, even though they are "out of network". I am extremely grateful for their professionalism, kindness, and speediness in replacing my windshield!

Likewise, the customer service agent at the Safelite location was friendly and helpful during the calibration visit. What was disappointing -- and honestly somewhat absurd -- was the overall process. Safelite came to my house to replace the windshield, but then informed me they could not calibrate my vehicle's safety system onsite. So after waiting around my house during a 5-hour appointment window for the convenience of "mobile service," I still had to drive to the Safelite location and wait again for the calibration to be completed. In total, my windshield replacement ended up costing me more than 8 hours of my time. That completely defeats the purpose of having someone come to your house in the first place. At this point, I'd love for one of Safelite's executives to sit in a room and stare at a wall for 8 hours just to fully appreciate the customer experience they created here. This feels like a textbook example of how large companies and their executives lose sight of customer needs -- designing processes that may work operationally on paper while completely ignoring the real-world inconvenience placed on the customer. If calibration is commonly required for modern vehicles, set expectations upfront or coordinate the service so customers aren't effectively forced into two separate appointments. Great technician.
