I called to schedule a mobile appointment to come to my home to fix my windshield, was told there were no available appointments for mobile service. I had no other options but go in person 30 mile drive each way. When I arrived at this location I saw 10 mobile service vans parked. I entered the lady at the front desk said,"we are overbooked then said we don't have enough mobile technicians", with an arrived. Please explain to me how I see safelite commercials that advertise "we come to you". This is not the first time, I have never been able to successfully schedule for mobile service without the same result. This is not how a successful business is run. My suggestion is to cut back on tge commercials and use that money to hire mobile service techs. I will also express my concerns with my car insurance company. The Crack repairs done on my windshield were very small but still noticeable. The tech told me that if the Crack got worse during the repair because pressure is put on the glass during the process, I would be responsible for any costs to replace the glass. Not sure how that works, if your process makes the Crack worse shouldn't safelite be responsible. If I take my car in for a repair and the mechanics make it worse I am not responsible for the additional repairs they are. Your policy makes no sense at all. read more

The technician who came to my house from Safelite was friendly, professional, and did a great job replacing my windshield. No complaints whatsoever about the tech himself. Likewise, the customer service agent at the Safelite location was friendly and helpful during the calibration visit. What was disappointing -- and honestly somewhat absurd -- was the overall process. Safelite came to my house to replace the windshield, but then informed me they could not calibrate my vehicle's safety system onsite. So after waiting around my house during a 5-hour appointment window for the convenience of "mobile service," I still had to drive to the Safelite location and wait again for the calibration to be completed. In total, my windshield replacement ended up costing me more than 8 hours of my time. That completely defeats the purpose of having someone come to your house in the first place. At this point, I'd love for one of Safelite's executives to sit in a room and stare at a wall for 8 hours just to fully appreciate the customer experience they created here. This feels like a textbook example of how large companies and their executives lose sight of customer needs -- designing processes that may work operationally on paper while completely ignoring the real-world inconvenience placed on the customer. If calibration is commonly required for modern vehicles, set expectations upfront or coordinate the service so customers aren't effectively forced into two separate appointments. Great technician. This process was incredibly easy. I brought my car in today and the vehicle was ready in an hour and a half. They texted me through out the process and the staff at the front desk was kind and accommodating. The only negative was that I tried to book an appointment for someone to come to my house but they only had Thursdays available and I wish they had some more dates available so that I could have had someone come to me. Unfortunately, last month something hit my windshield and I had to file a claim with my insurance to get it fixed. I was told Safelite was one of my choices and I watch their commercials all the time so I made the appointment when I got there I was worried because some of the reviews are not the greatest, but I found the girl at the front desk was fabulous and my technician was great. He kept all of the stickers that were on the front of my windshield and put it on the new windshield.He was very professional and explained everything that was going to be done. I can say I would highly recommend this location. I also witnessed some of the customers giving the staff a hard time. Maybe the customers are the problem. read more

They scheduled with me from 8-12pm and never showed. When I called, they said they were 20 mins out and never showed. I called again and they said 30 min and never showed. I called again and the tech said oh I didn't go because I thought you were rescheduling. What a horrible company, Geico recommends them, stay away. Such a waste of time. read more

One the first day they came with a already cracked glass so had to wait another two days and once the new glass was installed its worse than the glass that the car had before. And keep in mind i paid the extra to get a new oem glass and put brand new wipers on and you cant even see through the hlass if it gets wet no matter what speed you put the wipers at and at night if a head on cars lights hit the hlass its even worse. Don't waste your time if you have a newer or luxury vehicle! Was told we had to bring in our Jeep Cherokee and it couldn't be done at the house.... Ok so we did that at 9am today which is Friday. Was told an hour at most but was called 4 hours later only to say they can't calibrate it and it will have to be taken to our dealership! So we are now driving in the rain and a thunderstorm for another 30 min on a Friday afternoon to pick up the car in the only to have to drop it off at our dealership for the weekend! Said "don't worry we aren't charging you for the calibration"??? Are you kidding me! So I asked "why was this not disclosed before dropping off my car?" They replied with. "Well we wanted to try and see if we could do it" so an entire day waisted,husband had to take off work twice, $1200 for a windshield that's not safe and still needs calibration! Awesome guys thank you so much! I love wasting money, gas,time, and my weekend all because you wanted to make the sale no matter what! I had a great experience here replacing my cracked car windshield and they recalibrated the camera attached to my windshield. It took about an hour and 30 minutes total. I waited in the customer waiting area. The waiting area had TV's, chairs and bottled water available. My appointment was fast I believe since it was the first appointment of the day. I didn't pay anything since this issue was covered by my car insurance. I made the appointment online via my car insurance's website. read more

The fact that I have to take more time out of my day to pen this review is outrageous, I use a company vehicle and got a chip in my windshield from a flying rock that came off a semi. my company recommended safelite for the replacement. it was a breeze giving my insurance company's information and setting up an appointment. The horror began when I had the first install, the "Tech" (if you can call them that) showed up and did the replacement. while he was replacing the glass, it cracked, well he left it on anyways and told me to reschedule another appointment and left.... okay.... I rescheduled another appointment someone came out again. mind you, the majority of my work consists of driving so in order to get the windshield replaced, I have to be immobile from either 8 to 12 or 12 to 5pm, so I am not working. the second "Tech" comes over and replaces the glass, 2 days later I am driving and hearing a screeching sound like the wind howling but I had both windows up. come to find out the windshield was not sealed properly and the spot where I heard the wind howling was the wind coming through the glass and cracked the glass again. o you know what this means... another appointment, another half day loss of work. So, another appointment was scheduled with me barely holding it together because in order to speak to a rep is almost impossible, the automated system takes you around the globe and back with questions that is irrelevant. So, the saga is to be continued as I await another replacement. AND to the company, please don't bother to respond with how "sorry you are for the inconvenience", because that's doesn't do anything, what you should do is train your workers to have some integrity and purpose in doing their jobs if you want to stay in business, because no matter how long you mess up, it will have its consequence in the end... I needed my windshield replaced after finding a Crack on the glass. I set up an appt for them to come to my residence. They didn't have any near appts available as they advertise, but thats okay. I got one for about 10 days later. Appt time 8am-12pm. On the day of, at 12pm, no one arrived. I called them, and spoke to different ladies and she told me that the technician tried to call me "several" times to let me know that they cant make it to my location and that I would have to go to one of the shops. I told her I couldn't do that, I was working. So the next appointment she had for me was the following week. At that point, I wasn't going to take the chance of them not showing again, so I cancelled with them. I ended up calling Auto Glass America. They were really kind and professional. I was skeptical of changing my windshield because it's my first new car and I just wanted good quality mechanics to work with it. When I came in the expected work was quoted over two hours. You can wait in the lobby where they have coffee and TV, but I left and came back because I can't sit too long. Josh, such a great employee! He not only covered all the points needed to know and did the service, he vacuumed my car. I wish I could've given him more as far as tip but customers receive surveys after and I will definitely give him 5/5! This location takes 3 hours to repair one small crack. I recommend leaving your car and coming back later if you can because you will be waiting. I overheard the technician who was supposedly working on my car telling another customer that he spent 1.5 hours trying to calibrate her camera. I was there 45 minutes after closing time. This company does not have its customers best interest in mind. you cannot get a local stores phone number, you get a run around and no customer service. The installer don't inspect the glass prior to putting it in. he blames the management and the warehouse people. so after 5 times scheduled they finally had a good windshield. it took over a month. The tech who supposed to be here is already an hour late (I was told he would be here between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm) it's now 1:00 and I haven't heard any updates from my technician. When I called customer service, I was hung up on 3 times. Finally I got someone on the phone to ask when o should expect them to be here, he kept me on hold for another 5-10 minutes. When he picked back up, he told me he couldn't get ahold of the driver, but left a voicemail to let him know to call me & that I should stay by my phones then promptly hung up without letting me get a word or a question in. The lateness is frustrating, but not the worst part of this experience with Safelite. Their customer service is terrible and I'm ready to cancel my appointment and look for someone else. Got a chip in my windshield driving on the highway, not a big deal, it happens. So I figured all of the safe light commercials I see everyday made it sound like a great deal. Simple as logging on to the website on my phone, put in my car info and insurance, and my insurance covered it, great. So I set up an appointment for the next week on Saturday morning. Appointment was between 8 and 12, and the promise was I would be updated with updated times and my tech would be in touch and let me know before they show. At 11:45 I had yet to hear anything, so I call and am told the tech is right down the street, 7 minutes away. Great, still nothing from the tech. So I wait, at 12:30, I had things to do, so I call again, both times the people answering the phone were very nice and were just doing what they could from their end, so that's a positive. When I ask what's happening, I am put on hold and when they get back to me, I'm told the techs number goes straight to voicemail and the office isn't answering. Finally the office answers and she was told they don't have the number for the tech? Turns out I needed to take my car in for another problem anyway, so I just canceled and would take care of everything when I took it in. Very pleasantly canceled my order. 30 minutes later, the tech shows up at my door to do the job, remember they are supposed to be in contact with you, I politely tell them I just canceled and they left. This was my first experience with this company, I might have just had a mix of things not working well on that day, but it did not instill any confidence in me. Lousy, unprofessional, liars, and unreliable to say the very least. Safelite had informed my father (who I'm writing this review about) that they had originally installed the wrong glass for his windshield, and that they needed to install a new one because the one they had installed didn't fit with Florida standards for a windshield. The wrong glass had been on his f150 for 6 months. It took 6 months for them to do the research and realize that they were breaking FL law and come and fix their mistake. That was a red flag for me but he proceeded with them, so they came with the new glass. While they installed it, they didn't take all the precautions and proceeded to destroy the cable of his dash cam and the windshield wiper cowl grille. When my dad confronted the technician over the damages, they gaslighted him and proceed to tell him that he himself had caused the issues and was trying to get them to fix something for free. (As if they weren't already asking him to pay for their mistake!) Eventually they admitted that they cut the cable for the dash cam, and said that they would buy one for him and bring it the next day. This all happened on November 2nd. On the 10th, he wrote to the supervisor, who ignored him. And now it's December, a whole month later, and I was wondering if the technician enjoys lying to old people and making them wait for items that never arrive. So I say how about you "safelite repair, safelite replace" your terrible terrible service. I would also like to add that these crooks decided to charge his insurance for this after it was all over. Comedy gold. I don't know about you, but if I break something I fix it, but I guess you can't expect common courtesy from people that can't tell they're installing the wrong product until 6 months after it's done. read more

Omg where do I begin. To make it simple, first glass the replaced was blurred and warped. Okay no issue they were able to replace it without question. I asked for OEM this time. Waited about 2 months for the glass to come in. I don't care because it was OEM and I wanted it done right. So it comes in and it gets replaced. They replace it and don't seal it correctly on the left side and water leaks it when it rained. Now I have a puddle of water on my driver side and it's now UNDER my floor mats. Had to rent a blower from Home Depot and dry it out for a day. I had to spend so much time with this BS I went to another Safelite to have them fix the issue. Tech at the other Safelite said it was the worst job he's ever seen. Anyway I'd you have the choice, get your glass replaced OEM from your car dealership. read more

On 9/13 I had a technician attempt to repair a rock chip and was unsuccessful. I set up an appointment for a windshield replacement for 9/20 and dropped off my vehicle. Two hours later I was told they had the wrong windshield. I rescheduled for 9/27 at 1pm and earlier that day called to make sure they had the right windshield. I was assured everything was good and verified and we were good to go. Later that day, I received a call that the replacement couldn't happen because Teslas take too long and must be done in the morning. It is surprising that 1pm was too late in the day to start service. Regardless, I was scheduled a third appointment for today, 9/29. The vehicle was dropped off at 8am and two hours later, I was again told that they have the wrong windshield and I would need to pick up my car. In addition, I asked twice on Monday if they had the correct windshield based on my prior experience and was assured it would be replaced On Wednesday. I did my best to prepare for my fourth appointment, and again dropped off my vehicle. Safelite did not do their best and led me to again be disappointed that the windshield wasn't replaced. Safelite should be experts and as leaders in the market, it doesn't make sense that this company continually can't get the correct windshield and verify it before a client drops of their vehicle for service. I really expected more. I have no faith in Safelite to complete my repair for this or any future services. read more

Do not use Safelite. They showed up at my home with the wrong windshield claiming it was a BMW part. Not only it wasn't a BMW part, it was the wrong windshield for the car. I called to reschedule, and I was told they are not sure if they even carry BMW parts, which I was told they do with the original appointment. I was then hung up on after I reported them for having the installer arrive to my home, and stood outside for 20 minutes listening to his boss argue with other customers but not assisting me in anyway. If I could give them less than a star I would. My insurance company made an appointment for me to go to this location to get my shattered windshield fixed for a Saturday morning. We showed up and an hour after the appointment, an hour after they've had my car in the shop working on it, they decide to tell me that they don't have the window. Mind you I drive a very common car. The manager even mentioned that this happens every Saturday where they only stock the bare minimum and run out of inventory. I give Safelite one star because there is no option for zero. I took my car in to replace windshield and my car ended up at a body shop for over a week. During the windshield change out they cut through a metal on my vehicle instead of the glass. There was no communication what so ever. I always had to be calling for a status. They put me in a rental with enterprise that didn't match the kind of vehicle I own. When I finally got my car back, I realized the next day that my rear view mirror was loose. Again having to call them and deal with them. They sent a tech out to my house this time. Guess what? The tech they sent didn't have the right tool. So here I am still waiting for someone to come out to adjust. It's been a problem after problem. They haven't gotten one thing right. I will never ever use or recommend Safelite to anyone I would also like to add that after writing this review, I am adding to it. It is now the following week and I have called Enterprise to follow up on the release of my credit card hold and was told the rental car was just returned YESTERDAY.
