Coaching people with their money is something I would love to get into as a career and I'm happy to announce that Money Mentors is making steps into the community. This means educating young people so that they don't end up in situations where their debt is over-whelming. Money Mentors in Edmonton now has extended hours which gives flexibility to a variety of individuals and they also offer one free financial fitness class a month which focuses on setting you up for a strong financial future. In 2021 we were billed in excess of $11,000 for our personal tax preparation. This was a scope of work that is typically done for less than $1,000 by competitive firms. BDO charges you without first informing of costs and gaining approva. As in our case they assign work to senior persons at exorbitant cost where junior persons are more appropriate. As with others commenting we ended up at BDO due to our prior account hiring with them. She has since left them and while trying we can't find her anywhere. We do not recommend BDO and will not use them ever again.

They were able to extract our inventory from our current system and import it into Lightspeed with only some minor involvement from us. They helped convert us from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online, and then fully integrate the Lightspeed POS into the accounting software. Now we have way better control over our inventory, and we get regular monthly financial reporting that helps us understand where our business is at. We couldn't have gotten this far without their help. Prior to hiring them we were hand writing our receipts...they helped us into the 21st century!
