We purchased tint for our 2014 Civic LX and can't say nothing but good stuff about Sun Dimmers. We've had our tint since 2019 and it's holding up well. I had no idea which tint shop did our tint until I got a new car recently with no tint. The prices are affordable, too for the quality of tint and their awesome customer service. The application was flawless and the best feature - NO FADE at all, no bubbles and it's kept the car cooler for the last SEVEN years. On our other vehicle, which was done by some other vendor in North Hollywood, NOT Sun Dimmers, only to see the horribly cut trim, peeling and massive fade. Our limo black tint with that other vendor, ended up brown within two years. With Sun Dimmers, they have quality tint and also provide excellent customer service. Had I known it was Sun Dimners that did our Civic LX, I would've written a review a long time ago! The hubby bought me a 2019 Civic Sport hatchback and I can't wait to bring her in so she can look just a good as the LX! When I called them, I was greeted with a smile and wonderful attitude. The dude on the other end was awesome, knowledgeable, and clear about the process so I can figure out how and when to schedule for my tint job. You can walk-in but there's no way in my schedule to get in right when they open and squeeze the time in. I will make an appointment so I can drop her off in the morning and pick her up later that day or the next day (depends on their schedule) since I live out in Burbank. I'll be calling you soon, Sun Dimmers! read more

I've been coming here with all my cars as the quality is great at this location. The last time I brought my car in was back in 2019 I had all the windows done and also had them look up what I had on previous cars to get the same tint. Since then the tint has held up until recently when I noticed the spread of bubbles in the back window starting to cause issues for me to see out. I walked in and spoke with Sam about my warranty and was able to make an appt the following week to drop the car off. I came in early around 830 and was able to pickup my car by 430 (turn around time same day). Great customer service, with attention to detail. **note they no longer have a receptionist, you have to call someone to come up front to help you out. read more

Sun Dimmers - bubbling on back window, fixed it same day with new tint - Car Window Tinting Near Me - Santa Clarita, California

got my tints done here the other day, ceramic tints on my front 3 windows. job was handled greatly and the windows turned out amazing

I've had four of my company vehicles tented at Sun dimmers and I highly recommend them because of their quality and affordability! Definitely a go to place for window tinting read more

Didn't get services here but I called to inquire and the person who picked up had 0 customer service. I wasn't even sure if it was the actual business when I called since the person just mumbled their name. I was asking questions about what they use for window tint, how long it takes, etc and he just didn't have the energy to entertain potential customers. It felt like such an inconvenience to inquire and ask questions... read more

They were able to provide a great price for ceramic window tint. As well we were able to make an appt very quickly. Upon arriving they were very welcoming. read more

I have had 4 cars tinted here and they have always done a great job at a fair price. I was looking to get a 5th car done and submitted a request for quote through Yelp which said most are answered within 24 hours. I followed up, again through Yelp, 2 or 3 times and never heard back. They finally responded over three weeks after I had submitted my first request and all my subsequent requests went ignored. I guess they didn't need my business, and I had already got the work done with a company that was more responsive. They are a good company that does good work but if you want any information from them I guess don't go through Yelp and call directly. read more

It is absolutely no surprise to see how highly rated this business is. I recently had my new vehicle's windows tinted here and it was a positive experience from start to finish. The quality of the work and respect for my vehicle was perfect, but what really stood out was the attentive customer service. Sam and his team truly listen to their customers and show the utmost care and thoughtfulness in the way they communicate with prospective and new customers, especially someone like me that had lots of questions. After all was said and done, I am a truly satisfied customer and my car looks amazing! read more

I am a returning customer of Sun Dimmers, with no past problems. Most recently I had three different vehicles done with them. Including window tint, PPF with ceramic coating and just a simple sun strip. They have treated each service they provided like an important job to them. They stand by their product by offering follow up appointments for the PPF to ensure that everything is settling right, and they provide you with manufacturer warranty for their tints. Sam remained patient with me answering all my questions before, during and after. He even updated me throughout and continues to answer any question I may have about it. Overall, all their services are affordable and competitive but what sets them above the many others within Santa Clarita is their level of customer service. This also included shuttle service when I dropped a vehicle off, but they also have a waiting area. I will continue to recommend Sun Dimmers to others. Thank you again for your patience with me! Looking forward to future work together. read more

I've brought my last 3 cars here and didn't have any issues with them until recently. Brought my new car over to them and decided to go ceramic this time around (first time ever) and opted to tint the entire car (including the windshield). I made an appointment and brought the car in early morning and picked it up on the same day late afternoon. I drove the car home and all seemed good! The next morning as I was driving to work I noticed a line on the front windshield, looked like a piece of lint or something got caught in between the tint and windshield. I ended up bringing the car back to them and they apologized and ended up redoing the windshield tint for me. Picked up the car, drove back home and all seemed good. The next morning I noticed another line or defect in the windshield tint right in my line of sight, and at the same time also noticed bubbling on the passenger side window. I brought the car back to them again, and they confirmed the windshield tint had a defect in it, so they redid the windshield AGAIN and also redid the passenger side window for me. Finally they got it right, and everything is now perfect. Reason for 4 stars is the inconvenience of me having to bring the car back in multiple times... but I'm happy they were able to make it right and didn't make me feel bad bringing the car back to them... they saw what I saw and acknowledged the issue each time. read more

I just recently had my wife's Subaru Crosstrek done here. It's the only shop I will go to. I have had all my cars done here. Sam and his team did a great job on the windows. Going back to have them do the PPF. Best shop in Santa Clarita 5 stars. read more

So I called an hour after the shop opened to see if they could squeeze me in and without hesitation he said bring it on in and we'll get her done for you! I brought it in 40 minutes later we went over all the different types of options and I decided to go with the ceramic grade. Walked over and had some breakfast at Saugus Café, and after about an hour and 10 minutes my wife's brand new car looking sweet!! Clean shop quality work great customer service and a lifetime warranty on the tint can't ask for much more. I highly recommend these guys. read more

Can't thank enough the Sun Dimmers team and Sam. They brought my newly purchased but neglected 2020 BMW M4 CS in San Marino Blue to showroom condition. You have earned a customer for life. Thank you for all your hard work and your passion for perfection. I am testament to the quality and the value you provide. You are more than fair with prices but deliver more than we paid for and that is rare these days. The services included full paint correction, full front PPF and ceramic coating including the wheels. Thanks Sam, will be back for the rest of my cars very soon. read more

Just got my new car tinted by these folks. Their pricing was less than the next, closest tint shop but their level of professionalism was what really set them apart. I made an appointment ahead but showed up a bit late. They were very accommodating and still got my car done on time. The tint was perfect! I got the middle-range version (cost and quality wise). It looks perfect and the temperature difference inside the car is amazing. I really couldn't recommend them more! Thank you, all!! read more

I've been using Sun Dimmers for all my vehicle needs for many years and have always been very happy with their product. Last week we decided to tint the windows in our home so I reached out to Sun Dimmers and got in touch with Matthew. He came out and gave us a very competitive quote so we booked a appointment. Today Matthew came out and on time and was very friendly, professional and had great work ethic. We noticed a huge difference right away removing heat and glare from the southern side of our house. If you're in the market for home window tinting Matthew is your guy. read more

I have done several cars at this company over the years. I will not again. They put sun coating on the inside of my windshield ( a brand new replacement windshield). After this was applied it had lots of bubbles in it and dust spots. The owner said he would redue this. I waited outside while they were doing it. I overheard the owner talking to a worker saying "I will redue it but will not honor the warantee". I said loudly "I can hear you". He then said I will just give you a refund. I was taken upstairs to the front where the owner told me he had a customer sit in my car and thar they didn't think it was that bad. I told him you can't have other customers sit in my car. He told me "your supposed to look thru the bubbles" and "your just too picky". He did finally gave me a check written in a colored pen not black or blue. I really didn't think the bank would cash it but they did. read more

Had my car taken in to get the windows tinted and they did an amazing job. They also gave my car a thorough MUCH NEEDED wash as well. Came all the way from Oakland to have this done and they definitely didn't disappoint! Very detailed, no bubbles, perfect tint. 10/10 would recommend. read more

There is an old saying "reputation precedes you". The Sun Dimmers exemplifies this phrase. I have done expensive search on tint and PPF with multiple shops in SCV, but I took a faith with Sam H (owner). Boy ! it paid off perfectly!!!For Tesla customers, I strongly recommend to tint all 9 piece of glasses due to extreme heat in SCV. UV block , heat rejection and anti-glare property are the main reason for tint , not just the aesthetics. He uses industry leading "formula one LLUmar films for tint and STEK for full frontal PPF. You get what you pay for. His craftsmanship is flawless when it comes to installation of both tint and PPF. He even suggest to come back after one week to make sure installation is done correctly (specially PPF). I've been a retail pharmacist in SCV for 25 years. Definitely Sun Dimmers represent a long standing local shop (over 40 years) who deliver what they promise. When I posted an inquiry on on tint and PPF on "neighborhood post SCV" Overwhelming response (90%) was Sun Dimmers. He specializes on exotic high end super cars (he is an official installer for Porsche dealer in SCV). Once again if you want the best product and service with life time warranty (tint) 10 years on PPF, make sure to talk to Sam. I just also did 3 pieces on my Mazda CX5 and he gave me a great discount ! read more

THE BEST. I have been a customer of SunDimmers for years and they've literally NEVER let me down! They are so accommodating and easy to get an appointment with. As soon as I got my brand new 2022 Honda Accord, I knew where to take it. Sam was super knowledgable, helpful, and gave amazing customer service! The quality of work was as usual, AMAZING. I did 15% in the back half, 35% in the front, and before I knew it I received a text that it was done. Car was already pulled up for me and Sam explained everything in awesome detail regarding the warranty etc. and I was on my way happy as can be. Can't wait to be back for the next one! THANK YOU! read more

I took my car in to have the tint replaced because it was peeling. I dropped it off early in the day and returned in the afternoon, only to find my car wasn't parked out front. I had to navigate through the shop to find it in the back. The customer service has definitely declined since my last visit. When I got in my car, there was tint scrap everywhere, and I had to clean it up myself. If you're looking for a tint job with decent customer service, I recommend going elsewhere. read more

Hands down the best tint shop in SCV. I've had them do all 3 of my vehicles with ceramic tint and it has been great. Last week I noticed the tint my truck's driver's side window begin to peel up from the bottom of the window after 8 years. I took it by the shop and they pulled it off and replaced the tint for free because of the lifetime warranty. Seriously...if you need anything tinted, don't hesitate to go to Sun Dimmers.
