There are also large living and dining rooms. You can walk on paths on the 175 acres and enjoy the 2 Japanese oak baths on the lower level. I couldn't have found a nicer place to share memories and spend time with those close to me and my ex. We sang, cried, enjoyed the baths and shared meals and memories.

The highlight of our stay was the Adult Half-Day Cabana at Champions Pool. The adults-only area was peaceful and relaxing, and the dedicated shaded space was perfect for my pregnant wife. We enjoyed excellent poolside food and mocktails, along with complimentary snacks, fruit, cool towels, and attentive service throughout the afternoon. Our upgraded top-floor room featured a beautiful balcony overlooking the lawn, a fireplace, and a spacious spa-like bathroom. We also appreciated the thoughtful welcome amenity of Martinelli's Sparkling Cider, fruit, and a welcome note for our babymoon. Dinner at Harrimans was the one aspect of our stay that didn't quite match the exceptionally high standard of the rest of the resort. However, our server Oscar was outstanding. The service was excellent, though we felt some of the dishes didn't fully align with the price point. Interestingly, our favorite dining experiences were poolside and through in-room dining. Breakfast the next morning was exceptional, from the quality of the food to the thoughtful setup overlooking our balcony view. What impressed us most was how seamless the entire experience felt. Between the room upgrade, early room access, late checkout, thoughtful service, and attention to detail, the staff made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. Luxury hotels can provide beautiful rooms, but memorable hospitality comes from people. Salamander delivered that consistently. Beds were comfortable, plenty of outlets, complimentary bottled water in the room, hot apple cider provided one of the evenings were there. Service from staff was lovely. We had dinner at the Marquee Lounge one of the evenings and the meal was decent - service was a bit slow but otherwise much easier than going out for dinner. All in all it was a nice stay - just know that you're not walking distance to the monuments and museums in this part of DC.

So basically, if your kid dies or is in the hospital suddenly before departure they will not refund you. So just know they value money over a child life and sefety.
