I went today and the tiny lab moved to a bigger space in the same building. Everything is nicer and only one person ahead of me.

I was hoping to have my littlest one drawn at home due to health circumstances. Unfortunately, my little one started to yell in the background when i made the phone call. I can tell and feel the blood guy annoyance and frustration. I understand my little one was yelling but for the same reason, i need someone to draw at home due to my little one health issues. I could feel his passive aggressiveness in the way he respond to me. He is not patient and is not friendly. If something like this triggers him, i can't even imagine when he draws. I wouldn't recommend to people or family who have children with health conditions or special needs. Or even toddlers in general who don't have special needs. In overall I am surprised he has high reviews.

I feel so blessed to have found him as my doctor! Whatever time it takes to see him, he is worth the wait! I cannot thank Dr. Karimi, and the entire staff enough. After a very difficult pregnancy, my child is alive today because of his extraordinary care and dedication. From the very beginning, he was compassionate, attentive, and willing to drop everything whenever I needed him. At first, I was nervous about the amount of medication, but I quickly learned to trust him and the process. He always made me feel supported and reassured, guiding me with patience and expertise every step of the way. His staff was equally wonderful! They were kind, patient, and understanding throughout this journey. Yolanda thank you for your kindness and for all of your support! Because of Dr. Karimi , my baby is here and healthy. I will forever be grateful for everything he and his team did for me and my child.

My husband still gets very frustrated at the 3 hour waits (that's why this isn't 5 stars) so we try our best to get the EARLIEST possible appointment. We had a 8am before and only waited half an hour! That was such a joy. The afternoon ones were horrible but I quickly adapted and literally brought my computer with me to work and pass time I had a short cervix, debris in my amniotic fluid, placenta previa up until week 20 and just as i thought things were getting better, I developed Cholestasis. This was terrible and I was an extremely severe and dangerous case wtih my highest bile acids being 455. I was taking 300mg Ursodiol 4x a day but the condition was so aggressive. Dr. Karimi took it upon himself to do more research about my situation and found newish studies of prescribing Rifampin for cases like mine. TBH, i was hesitant to take this because even the pharmacist said the suggested dosage was 2x too high. i trusted the Dr. and followed all orders because the benefits outweighed the risks. Although it was expensive to always pay a copay when I saw him 2x a week and inconvenient to do NSTs 2x a week, he kept my baby alive! My heart really goes out to the staff there. They were invested in my situation and kept me in their thoughts; while celebrated news of my lower bile acids. May at NST (honestly, all the NST staff were fantastic), Tiffany, the sweet redheaded nurse (sorry i didn't get your name) that was so patient with me by administering 4 of my painful steroid shots. Bridgette that was so patient and informative when she did my anatomy scan (?). I'll be forever grateful for the hard work and dedication shown by the staff at Dr. Karimi's offices!

Hello there, I called this dentist office last week to make a first time (New Patient) appointment…read more I was answering intake questions and the question was asked if I needed my physical medical insurance card, even though I had my number? I was told by the receptionist that I would have to call back when I had my physical card to show. I am a new recipient of Medi-Cal insurance with dentist coverage, and was referred to this office by the Medi-Cal personnel. I called back today to make my first-time appointment. As I was telling her that I have Medi-Cal insurance she said "Can I put You on a Brief Hold?" Twenty-seconds went by then she picked up the phone and proceeded to tell me that "Their not Taking New Patients." I told her about my past conversation with their office last week and was told they were taking new patients? She just repeated "We are not taking New Clients." I told her "Can I Ask that at Least to call Medi-Cal and Tell Them that You're not Taking New Clients so that way You won't get Referrals?" She told me nonchalantly "That's Fine," in a dismissive tone. Why would a dentist office discriminate to Medi-Cal recipients when their office is clearly listed as a welcomed provider for dental services? Honestly, after reading these consistent negative past reviews I feel like it was the Universe's way of telling me "This Place is Not for You." Therefore, I will tell you "This Place is Not for You."

What started as one of the worst experiences of my life became something that taught me a lot about myself and healing. I appreciate my life so much more. I'm happy to know there's a safe place I can turn to if I ever find myself in that kind of situation again. By the end, leaving almost felt bittersweet. I am extremely disappointed and concerned with how Alhambra Hospital Medical Center handled a…read moremental-health patient's request for access to a Patients' Rights Advocate. This was NOT a request for a regular visitor or family member to act as an advocate. We were specifically asking about access to the county-designated Patients' Rights Advocate established under California law. What was particularly troubling was that Nurse Supervisor Louise explained that the "first line" of patients' rights advocates are the staff at the facility. This explanation was concerning and, in my opinion, misleading because facility staff and the county-designated Patients' Rights Advocate are not the same thing. California Welfare & Institutions Code § 5520 states that the local mental health director appoints or contracts for county Patients' Rights Advocates. Their duties include receiving and investigating complaints regarding abuse or unreasonable denial of patients' rights, monitoring facilities for compliance with patients' rights laws, and ensuring mental-health patients are informed of their rights. Welfare & Institutions Code § 5500 also defines a county Patients' Rights Advocate as an advocate appointed, or whose services are contracted for, by the local mental health director. It further describes independence from service providers as having no direct or indirect clinical or administrative responsibility for patients at the facility where the advocacy is being performed. Most importantly, W&I Code § 5530 specifically provides county Patients' Rights Advocates access to mental-health patients and facilities as necessary to investigate or resolve complaints and provides for private interviews when reasonable space is available. California law even addresses obstruction. W&I Code § 5550 states that a person shall not knowingly obstruct a county Patients' Rights Advocate in performing their duties, including access to clients or potential clients. Facility staff absolutely have a responsibility to respect patients' rights and can attempt to resolve concerns internally. However, that does not automatically make the nurse, supervisor, or treatment team the county-designated Patients' Rights Advocate or mean that the patient should simply be redirected back to facility staff when specifically requesting advocacy assistance. There is a limited circumstance under Title 9, California Code of Regulations § 863.1 where an assigned advocate may be a facility staff member, but the regulation specifically states that such a person cannot be involved in the direct supervision of patients at that facility. That is very different from suggesting that ordinary facility staff are automatically the patient's "first line" Patients' Rights Advocates. This distinction is especially important when the patient's complaint concerns the facility or its own employees. Mental-health patients are in an extremely vulnerable position, and they should receive clear and accurate information about their rights and how to access the advocacy system California created to protect them. I strongly encourage Alhambra Hospital Medical Center to review this incident and ensure that supervisors and staff are properly trained regarding W&I Code §§ 5500, 5520, 5530 and 5550 and Title 9 CCR § 863.1. Patients should not have to fight for accurate information about their rights. This experience seriously damaged my confidence in this facility and the way it handles it's mental-health patient rights.
