It was easy to book online and reserved for two. We used the "waze app" to get there, and we had a hard time finding the location but made it five minutes later. It was busy, but we had a fantastic time. It is a lovely activity, and I highly recommend it. My only complaint is that The painting was supposed to be of the woods with half a tree trunk and half a heart. This way, being a Valentine/Galentines event, the other attendee would make the other half, creating a whole trunk with a whole heart; this didn't happen. We both made our own. Either way, we had a good time. Nice activity for couples and dates or even groups.

Grand Opening weekend there was pizza, margerta's chips and salsa. I am not sure if food is served all the time. At the end of the class they take a group photo that they post on their Facebook page. Solid museum for what's history, behavior, and culture if El Pasana from yesterday to today…read more We were in the area for Día de los Muertos festival, and the MofH was doing its part. It had plenty of events going on from music, interactive story telling, hands on activities, to spiritual cleansings, or limpias. One of the cooler temporary exhibits Musica sin Fronteras. The exhibits showcases the groups, genres, bands, studios and venues that have called the borderland their home, and the impact they had on the El Paso and if their day. It was pretty cool to see items from the past and reflect on the impact they had on me. Who would have imagine bed that the contributions they had on the Frontera, and the Frontera had on them were so plentiful. The kids found plenty to do and see as much of the museum is interactive. If the rotation of exhibits is regular, then so shall our visits to the museum.

They are very inclusive and you get to learn so much about Texas and Mexico and the history of the native Americans and how it shaped that part of the country. I was really happy that Yelp gave us the opportunity to visit Fab Lab and learn about the cool stuff they do, thanks Tanya! Fab Lab offers access to cutting edge technology to the El Paso community, such as 3D printing, laser cutting, and a plethora of learning opportunities, and the most impressive part is that they do it on a non-profit basis! Equally impressive are the smart and talented people running the place, the kind of smarts that make me feel like I put on a superhero shirt, thick frame glasses, and decided to call myself a nerd because I watch The Big Bang Theory (which by the established intelligence hierarchy demotes most folks to Peter Griffin when he thinks he is a genius). Luckily because of their strong belief in the open-source model they are willing to share their knowledge in their on-going workshops! (my knowledge, on the other hand, must be licensed prior to being used, Capitalism!) I was seriously impressed by all the great stuff Fab Lab has going, I feel that they are an agent of progress in a place that desperately needs it. My only dissapointment during our last event was how packed it was. They only charge $2, to ensure participation, and there were over 30 kids in the room. Everyone skipping line or with no line whatsoever. Some kids participating over and over in the same station and not leaving any opportunity for other kids to participate. I think their events need to shrink down a little or some kind of participation rules need to be in place. Regardless, it is a great educational resource for the science loving kid.

There is shade and covered seating so not a bad place to ce and just relax for a bit. There is a section that is wheelchair accessible. Worth a look. It was truly beautiful, but of course it was a scorcher with the heat. All the roses had a pleasant scent. There were alliums as well. The paths were paved and easy to maneuver. Not too many bees or flies buzzing around which was a huge plus.

Paradigm Texas is a little more than home decor, but it's mostly home decor. Everything about it is absolutely gorgeous. I was blow away by every aspect of the store and all the careful planning that clearly went into it. If you go in and feel that you could never recreate the magic that is PT, don't worry, they also are interior designers for hire. The store is ran by a couple and their adorable dog. You can actually purchase one of the couple's artwork their in store and its, of course, all amazing. We hadn't planned on really shopping for any home decor, but I could leave without something so we took home some Sugarfina scotch chocolates (definitely will put some hair on your chest) and a small (maybe a child's) puzzle that doubles as a cool piece for our office. You'll find items for a range of prices and some really awesome items like the misheard 90's lyrics. Very cool place, check it out for home decor or small gifts for friends.
