So, I am zooming in to a seminar tonight on "the chocolate regimen" hosted by ale Chocolat du Bouchard in Illinois. I have been craving chocolate since I signed up for this event...they are in Illinois and I am in El Paso Texas so I needed some good chocolate for tonight to enjoy while I watch the presentation. The operative word here is good chocolate- not left over Halloween candy, but the kind of thing you would eat if you were royalty. And so, being a Princess in my mind I opted for some truffles from this Hallmark store that is the closest one to me. I called them to see if the were open with current new restrictions. The lady who answered the phone (Pat) said they were not allowing customers into the store but you could place a phone order and they will bring what you want to your car when you arrive!!! Everything from their lunch boxes to stamps to stickers to blankets are readily available! I absolutely love how much tasteful merchandise Sanrio stores manage to provide for all ages. There's water cups and couture purses for the adults and backpacks for the kids! Or vice versa! That's truly the beauty of Hello Kitty! I was absolutely thrilled seeing this store and how it captured the classic essence of Hello Kitty and friends seamlessly! Everything was reasonably priced as well for the quality and novelty aspect to everything. The customer service was also very friendly and professional. Since it is a small store, they attempted to limit the crowd inside by keeping a max of 10 people or so at a time and allowed people in as they went out. We took a trip to the store for my daughter's birthday so she could get a Hello Kitty present for herself, however, when we got there we were disappointed. First, we couldn't find the Hello Kitty store, turns out it was the small store under the escalator that is called something else. The selection honestly reminded me of the stores in downtown on El Paso street, which honestly have better prices and the selection seems to be similar.

I decided to hire her for dinner services since she was the only chef in the area to respond to my request. The food was less than mediocre/salty, and her prices were well above the average chefs. I did not complain, and I gave her a 20% tip. I decided to give her another try, so I requested a breakfast quote, but she tried to charge an outlandish fee of $700 for two people. I questioned the charges, and she decided to drop the price to $500. I texted her multiple times before the scheduled date, but she never responded. A week before services, I reached out to her, and she finally responded five days before the scheduled appointment. She told me she had a cold, so she could not respond, and she would be unable to provide services for the planned date. I have never known anyone suffering from a cold who could not contact the client well in advance and inform them they could not make the scheduled appointment. I would be leery of hiring her and ensuring she provides an itemized list of all your requests. Experience is a good teacher.
