Had a round trip service. The experience was above and beyond. Both drivers very professional. The driver on the way to the airport was right on time even a little early. Then on the return all I had to do was call the dispatch tell them I had my luggage ready for pickup they inform you what door to go out and the driver was at our location in 5min. No waiting long . Very clean vehicle ! Very pleased from the scheduling of the shuttle to the end of the final drop off. Everyone I spoke with along the way was very happy and professional. Not as good as a few years a ago. Sat in back and EXTREMELY BUMPY!!! They need to replace vans. I think the company was sold and current owners maybe don't care about safety and comfort? Seatbelts very uncomfortable. Wait time usually okay. read more

We were picked up around 11:30 pm last night. We pulled up to our house after midnight. We could not find our keys to get into our house. The driver stayed with us until we finally gave up and had him drop us off at a local hotel. It was around 1:00 am by the time he got us there and made sure they had a room. Sadly, this is no longer the same company as before. New ownership doesn't maintain the vehicles and the drivers are no longer trustworthy. I've traveled many times with Sun City Express for over twenty years. I NO LONGER FEEL SAFE and will never again subject myself to the poor service and unroadworthy death traps. Definitely recommend Sun City Express! Easy to book online or by phone. Safe, Easy, convenient and the drivers are most pleasant and accommodating. I have taken numerous rides by myself. I traveled recently with my father, who is an amputee, we had 2 suitcases, a walker and a manual wheelchair. I notified Sun City Express, prior to reserving to make sure they could accommodate all of our luggage and devices. It wasn't a problem and we also picked up 2 other passengers in that trip as well. Pickup from the airport is a very smooth process as well. Once you get your bags, you call and let them know you are ready and they let you know how long the wait is and encourage you to wait inside during our hotter months! read more

I made my reservation a few weeks early. They called the day before to confirm however when we arrived ,we waited about 50 minutes before the shuttle arrived. Called to see if I could get a refund as I found at that time of day, uber was cheaper.. I would have been to my destination. On the return, I noticed they had not called to confirm my return trip. I called and they had me leaving a week later. They put me on a "miracle trip" which got me there 3 1/2 hours early. Never again . read more

I was really impressed with their service. Unlike some other airport shuttles, you can select a semi-private option for a few more dollars so you have to share with a maximum of one extra party. This means no milk runs to or from the airport. I made my reservation online, received a phone confirmation with the specific pick-up time and lo and behold, my driver showed up with the other party on board, right when they said he would be there. Our driver was friendly and polite and more importantly, a safe driver. We got to the airport with several minutes to spare despite heavy traffic most of the way. read more

We have long-standing customers but no more. Two reservations ago our driver was extremely unprofessional and the office graciously gave us a credit to use on a future reservation. When I tried to use that I was told nothing was noted in our account. Fast forward to our last experience on October 19, 2022. Upon first call to say we were ready to be picked up at Phoenix Airport we were told by Matt that the service was running slow and would be 20-25 minutes late. He also indicated he would call when driver was five minutes out. Over 30 minutes later nothing. Several calls ensued with different excuse every time. We found a group of others waiting for same service. They had been told different excuses and had called several times as well. Over 1 1/2 later van finally arrived. Two people waiting all this time use canes - one a disabled veteran. It was so late by the time we got home all grocery stores were closed so could not get anything for breakfast. Matt indicated someone would call from office in morning - so sad that this is not a reliable service as their own narrative states. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. ...and here's the sad thing. I have used these folks ~10 times and generally was pleased, but the service has gotten extremely bad with racist, non-inclusive people at the office. (notwithstanding Greg, though. He was helpful and displayed a genuine attitude) This past trip, I had problems both on drop-off at the airport and pick-up. On drop-off: The driver showed up slightly late and made 2(!) incorrect turn-offs just to get to the airport...and this was an international trip for me (so time was critical). On pick-up: I was instructed to go to a pick-up point. Once there, I was told to walk across the airport to the other side to meet the driver. Here's the "kicker"...we drove right by the location I was originally told to go. Horrible customer service! When I went to visit the office to voice my concerns, the office manager, Sonya, questioned me why I just didn't call by phone. Well, Sonya (sp?), I wanted to do it that way....and if you don't like it, you can go pound sand. And another thing, Sonya...not everyone talks the same as you and your attitude was extremely non-inclusive and racist. And one last thing, Sonya...I tried to contact the owner with the email address you provided. The email address was bogus...hence the reason I am writing a review. I would have preferred to contact the owner but cannot because the emails get returned as "not deliverable" I have taken my business elsewhere to a shuttle service who doesn't treat me like garbage. I have to say I've used Sun City express since I moved to Arizona four years ago and this last round trip they seem to have taken somewhat of a dive. My ride out to the airport with a 4:30 AM pick up I was in the van for 45 minutes driving around looking for other addresses to pick people up before we even got on the road. My return, tonight was much the same. I waited 1/2 hour for the van, then it took another almost 50 minutes to pick up two other sets of passengers and get on the road. After initially calling that I had my bag at 7:07 I didn't get home till 9 PM. I'm a 35 min ride. If you're retired and have a lot of time to kill I guess it's OK but I expect to get to and from the airport within an hour especially when none of my drives are during rush hour. read more

I recently made reservations with Sun City Express and was very dissatisfied with the woman (Sonya) who made my reservations. I found out a day ahead of my arrival that my ride wouldn't be able to pick me up. I called Sun City Express twice to verify pricing and pick up times and was quoted $78 by the dispatcher. When I called back the third time to make the reservation, Sonya told me there would be a $25 charge for making last minute reservations. When I asked her if she could waive the $25 because I had been quoted TWICE that it would be $78 she became benevolent after some back and forth discussion, and told me it wasn't her fault I was making last minute reservations and I didn't have to use them at all if I didn't want to pay it. I felt I was stuck due to my last minute requirements, and paid it. I do want to give a shout out to the person in charge the night we arrived. He called in another driver so we wouldn't have to wait an hour for someone to pick us up. The driver (Kyle) was also very friendly and was there when we arrived. My understanding is that Sun City Express is attempting to increase ridership. I believe if they stay with someone like Sonya they will lose customers. read more

We have used Sun City Express for many years. Unfortunately, the pick-up service at the airport has been getting worse and worse. On Saturday 11-19, we had to make three calls, before finally, after waiting for over an hour a driver showed up. I indicated this problem on their survey, but no effort was made, on their part, to apologize or offer a rebate. I would not recommend using this service. read more
