Oh my goodness! I had so much fun making my glass sea turtle. The group was small, which was nice…read more The ladies working were helpful, kind, and very patient. They had so many works of art on the walls to help with inspiration. The price was very reasonable considering you get a lesson, an hour to make your glass piece, and you get to go home with an original piece of art. I highly recommend taking a class and I look forward to doing this again!! Whether you're looking for a rainy day activity, need some time for yourself, or need to get some creative juices flowing, this art studio is the place to go!

A totally wonderful experience. Lots of friendly, reassuring hands-on help. Using completely different materials and techniques was a great learning experience. If you make a charcuterie board tiny glitter is available to enhance your piece. Two of my fellow participants added it to their handiwork, and it really enhanced their pieces. Must pick up the next day so factor that into your plans. I considered doing a crushed glass piece too but it seemed beyond my creative skills. Some of the crushed glass pieces are easier than others. Separately, they had some commissioned work being done and the skills of the staff are simply amazing. Would definitely try this again. Well worth the cost.

We went there for my daughter's early birthday celebration + a friend joined, while on vacation…read morehere in Santa Rosa Beach and I can't even begin to tell you how fun it was! First you grab a shirt, then you grab a tray, then you figure out which art project you want to do. Once that's done, you go to the counter and tell the girl. She gets you all set up with your canvas, your paints and your instructions! They have a drying station so that you can dry your art in between the different stages. I would highly recommend and I would go back in a heartbeat! I think our total for 2 paintings was $54, so it's not a terrible price when you consider how much you have to work with! It's perfect for anyone who enjoys crafting and painting! Oh and they have take-home kits. Take home kits were $28 each but you get everything in them!

We came on a Monday morning not knowing it would be crowded and were quoted a 45-60 minute wait. The art studio is upstairs and there is only space for a handful of families to be up there at a time. We got on the list and waited until it was our turn to go upstairs. It did end up being about that long. The staff here were super friendly and helpful with explaining everything. They provide smocks to wear and all of the supplies you need. They have a variety of projects to pick from. The price range of the projects seems to be about $10-$35 dollars. My son we had do the cheapest one because I knew he wouldn't take it very seriously and was just trying to occupy him. I let my daughter do one of the small canvases which I believe were $28 because I knew she would take it seriously. She picked the unicorn canvas and loved doing it. They give you the instructions on how to do the project and things to trace so it is easier for the younger kids. She loved it and my kids were entertained for over an hour. I would defintley come again and I know my daughter already wants to come back.

Curate regularly has guest artists who are creating in the gallery and available to talk to patrons about their creative process and their art. I am normally invited, and I love digging deep into the "how" of the creative process. What is the inspiration? What is the artist's sequence as they create? That excites me. Nestled along Main Street in European feeling Rosemary Beach, Curate 30A is quite special and a place you will find high quality art, unlike so many places that sell what I call junk art. It's for the discriminating buyer! "A curator's job does not involve wizardry, but requires a wealth of experience and knowledge, responsibility, and a good overview of artistic developments. But if we are lucky, we curators still manage to enchant visitors with the results." ~René Block and Carin Kuoni, Words of Wisdom: A Curator's Vade Mecum
