We were able to make a reservation just the day before online, but this availability may vary during more peak seasons. We were there during the shoulder season. The kids class (Shard Shop Original Art Class) is really reasonably priced and they had a blast creating their own piece of art! Strange, but their only other location is in New Orleans. We showed up on time for our appointment and did not feel rushed. There was one party leaving and another party was there with us, so my kids had their own table full of supplies. They have sample you can base your art off of, or you can freestyle it. Everything was included! Note that it takes a little over 24 hours for your art to cure so don't plan this the day before or the day you are leaving the area. They can always mail it to you, but there is a cost associated and it's more fun to pick it up yourself.

Brit (the owner) was our instructor and she taught us all the best little tips and tricks she could during our class. We were the only 2 signed up for this particular class so it felt even more intimate and fun having it be like our own personal studio. I came in with a vision of exactly what I wanted; bowl with scalloped edges that I can display on my living room table. Brit helped absolutely bring that vision to life! Like exactly how I imagined, it's perfect! My husband made a big coffee mug/beer mug (depending on the time of day) that he is so proud of. Brit made our anniversary special and helped us make a long lasting gift that we will cherish for years to come. So if you're a local, a transplant, or a tourist, take all your glass blowing, fusing, or framework ideas and book a class here you will not regret it! 10/10 recommend!

I had taken an art course in college that destroyed any confidence I may have had in my ability to paint. It was a rainy day at the beach and I thought, "What have I got to lose?" I walked in and signed up for what I thought would be one lesson. Once I started painting with Sharon, I could not leave. The next day, I brought my children, one in elementary school and one in middle school at the time, and they started to paint, too. It was a beautiful family affair for us and what we accomplished disproved any negative thoughts we had about our ability. Sharon can teach ANYONE to paint in a very short time.
