They have amazing artwork and creations for sale (ONLY LOCAL) in the front "gallery" half, and a large workplace with tables and supplies galore in the back. They have "classes" of sorts during the week where you pay a small amount of $10, and can either bring in your own project to work on, or a lovely volunteer staff member can help you create anything you can think of: with open use of ANYTHING they have! On the last Saturday night of every month, they have 'Drink and Draw +color': a free event (where donations are welcome), they have wines, music, sometimes bites to nosh on, and markers, pencils, and supplies to use for anyone to make some art! Definitely a new monthly tradition for my mother, sister, and myself. This place is a haven for quirkiness and creativity alike, and it's so wonderful to see a small city (who admittedly has had trouble supporting the arts in the past) keep a place like this thriving. Art gallery and art classes taught by Kathleen Broaderick was a fun two day adventure for a girl…read moretrip. After a visit to the gallery this summer, my friends flew back for a two day oil painting class this fall. Kathleen did a demo of a floral set up before lunch, then we did our own paintings in the afternoon. We already know how to paint but she introduced us to her unique style and was very helpful. We did bring our own supplies as she gives you a list of what will be needed. She might have classes for beginners, would just need to ask.
