She was quick to respond and very friendly! She gave me a bunch of options to pick from that I felt would work good for the group/theme. On the day of the booking, she arrived on time to set up and she provides all the supplies needed. You can also pick what size canvas you want. We all had to travel with carry on suitcases so we opted for a smaller canvas and it was perfect. She was very helpful and painted along with us, giving us tips when features came up. Emily gives easy to follow, gentle, encouraging class instruction, as well as individual help as needed. The variety of classes and projects is wonderful, and the different locations of classes are a fun way to explore the Panhandle area. I don't consider myself a painter/artist, but Emily's classes are therapeutic for me bc I get to spend a couple hours relaxing, making something, and using a part of my brain and self I don't usually exercise. They have amazing artwork and creations for sale (ONLY LOCAL) in the front "gallery" half, and a large workplace with tables and supplies galore in the back. They have "classes" of sorts during the week where you pay a small amount of $10, and can either bring in your own project to work on, or a lovely volunteer staff member can help you create anything you can think of: with open use of ANYTHING they have! On the last Saturday night of every month, they have 'Drink and Draw +color': a free event (where donations are welcome), they have wines, music, sometimes bites to nosh on, and markers, pencils, and supplies to use for anyone to make some art! Definitely a new monthly tradition for my mother, sister, and myself. This place is a haven for quirkiness and creativity alike, and it's so wonderful to see a small city (who admittedly has had trouble supporting the arts in the past) keep a place like this thriving.
